Found them via a comparison site last year and price was very competitive.
This morning I had a fast puncture on a back tyre. Managed to limp off motorway and park in a pub carpark. Called the number online and completed the details via the link they texted me. Was given a window when recovery vehicle would arrive and although they were just outside it, the driver called to explain he’d be there soon. He fitted my spare and I was on my way. Total time from initial phone call to them arriving (during morning rush hour) was 2 hours. As I was in a safe place this was fine. I hope they would give preference to someone stuck on hard shoulder etc…
I was glad I had their cover and happy with the service received.

STAY AWAY! Please don't waste your time with these complete cowboys! The staff are not only rude but down right appalling. I honestly believe they thrive on trying to con you, what a vile bunch of operators! Customer service skills are non-existent - just rude and appalling behaviour. This company will not last! Save yourself the stress!!
Wanted to charge 2.5x times more for renewal. Terms and conditions state you need to ring to cancel yet I have rang them for hours on end only to listen to automated machine or music and forcefully being disconnected. Now they respond to my email after my renewal has started and are wanting £9.99 for cancellation fee. Avoid avoid avoid!!

Policy automatically renewed, called day after to cancel, wanted £9.99 cancellation fee, decided to keep cover to avoid paying fee, received email day after to confirm policy had been cancelled, I emailed asking for the fee to be refunded due to an error on their part, they have refused to refund, shocking lack of customer service.

Good breakdown experience
Given such high number of low rate reviews decided to share my experience. Experienced a breakdown this morning, call answered straight away, text received with live info of recovery vehicle location, call received from hired company to inform of delays in attending, mechanic very corteous and problem sorted very quickly. Received also a phone call from recover cover 2 hours later to confirm all ok. Based on my experience recommend!

On the comparison website we Recover Cover (RC) came up with very good reviews so I joined up. I've been very fortunate and have not had a car break down and years. I just stopped in a cul de Sac, to let the dog out for a wee, not near any facilities or anything only to find that the car wouldn't start. I phoned RC, despite having written on my policy document that I had told them of my change of address they knew nothing about it. They told me somebody would be with me in an hour and within 20 minutes somebody turned up. It took them approximately 40 minutes to find that my petrol pump was broken. They then put me back on the phone to RC who confirmed my home address, the new address, and that it was just myself and my dog to be picked up. I was told I would get a text in 20 minutes and someone will be with me within 50 minutes. I received nothing and as I had a phone call did not get round to phoning them until the 50 minutes was up. Only to be told that nobody had put through my recovery action so nobody was actually coming. They then kept me on the phone whilst they kept pinging companies to ask them to come and get me and the companies kept rejecting. I was then told they would carry on trying something and get back to me. Another 20 minutes later you phone back and you're told it's very busy and there are lots of operatives off work and they just can't find anybody but not to worry about it …..to repeat I'm in a residential area not near any shops or toilets, a lone female and it's now starting to get dark and it's 3 1/2 hours later. I then phoned back again and I'm told the person Abbi I had been speaking to had gone home and Denise was now dealing with it. Yet when I phoned the next time Abby answered the phone and said no she hadn't gone home, she'd had to escalate it to another colleague because she couldn't get anybody to come and get me. I requested that they get me a taxi to get to me home and deal with the car the next day, they then miraculously found a company that was based 15 miles away in Midhurst, but not to worry they would likely be in the area and they would be with me within the hour. 40 minutes later the Midhurst company phoned me to tell me they're not going to get with me until at least another 20 minutes after the time I was given , I very politely questioned that this was not the time frame I was given and the recovery man proceeded to phone his manager who then phoned me and told me to give his man a break none of this was their problem….4 hours later, in the dark, on my own, no toilet, not shops….. 45 minutes from home…… the whole process took six hours. To be honest the only reason I picked this company was because when searched on a comparison website they came up as very high rating, clearly, I should have looked at reviews wider because they have a shocking views…… avoid them. I cannot tell you how many times I had to go through the factor that I had moved house and I had told them they moved house, they kept directing people to the wrong address and if I hadn't have questioned it who knows where the recovery man would have ended up…..!!!
Inexperienced and unknowledgeable staff
Unfortunately, you don't know what you get, until you have to use your breakdown insurance.
I had to call them yesterday evening and oh boy, let me tell you about it :
I was on hold for 40 mn, before I was put through to someone. Unluckily, he was a newbie and it was an extremely painful process, to put the details through...
Then, it gets better, he forgot to send the recovery vehicle... So had to call back and was on hold for about 20mn...
Then, they sent a vehicle too high for the multi storey car park, I informed them I was at, and I had to drive on a reaped tyre...
Then, the recovery didn't even tried to fix it, even if I gave them the tyre spec, almost 2 hours prior...
And just dropped us off and the car at our house.
The thing is, I added a car hire to my policy, when I called them on way home in the tow truck, to inform them of it, they couldn't see it on my policy...
And now, I have to call them back, to get another tow truck to pull my car to a garage, which I need to find myself, to get my tyre fixed...
I will definitely not renew my policy with them. And use a more expensive but better quality service such as AA, Green Flag, Rac...
The best service
Not sure where all these bad reviews have come from, have been rescued a few times needing to be jump started and have never had to wait longer than 45 mins. Call centre staff are helpful and never had to wait in a phone queue. Cannot fault.

I had Breakdown cover with them for 2 years. Got 1 claim in last 2 years. Service is OK. But be careful on their Auto Renewal. Once Auto renewal is done they charge 9.99 pounds to cancel even if we like to cancel within 14 days of Purchasing the Policy.

Despite offering homestart, they had no mechanics available and could only tow me to a garage. At that time, garages were closed so they had to book in a pick up at a later time. They then totally lost the details and as yet my car is still on the drive 3 days later. Their call centre staff are also dreadful.

Absolutely awful. My wife broke down in the middle of nowhere. She called this crowd and they tried for 20mins to rationalise why she was not a customer, my wife had the schedule in front of her.
No recognition that she was a single female, slow to get a recovery vehicle. Absolutely awful, will be cancelling and moving to a proper recovery firm even if it’s more expensive.
