Rip off

Not sure I can give them any stars , was unable to change my policy to an older bike after only two weeks.
They said I had to take out a completely new policy.
No mention of any refund.
If you did this in the street you would be arrested, please use a recognised breakdown company

Watch them on autorenewal

Watch them on autorenewal. Make sure you opt out else they'll charge you double the amount next year and by the time they do it's too late.

Zero stars if it was is not an option!

Dear ReCoverCover.com,

We sold our Vehicle 4 months before the policy was due for renewal, we emailed to confirm but they requested ‘evidence’ and continued to renew our policy and charge our card? Countless phone call but no resolution just a partial refund less their £10 service admin charge. Shocking that this business can trade. AVOID them like the plague.

Extremely rude customer service people

Extremely rude customer service people. Wanted to charge me £9.99 just to change address and when I challenged this the operator just put the phone down on me. Phoned back to complain about the operator and got a very chopsy argumentative new female operator who refused to put me through to a supervisor, and apparently they don’t record their conversations which is why they are so rude. I will definitely be moving away from this outfit. I actually thought Ant and Dec were doing the talking but they couldn’t fake the Cardiff accent. shocking.

Awful awful awful

Awful awful awful. Takes ages to get through on the telephone and then get cut off most of the time. We changed our car and still had four months left to run on the policy. All they offer was another years cover. No credit towards that. And so rude! Thank goodness I read the reviews before just taking out another year. Shocking that they can trade.

Refund Refusal

Bought cover last year. Decided not to renew as changed cars with free cover. It auto renewed and when I asked for the money back they said for a full refund I needed to supply the new cars insurance doc or V5 or its a £9.99 charge. Its now with the bank and in dispute and will go to the Financial Ombudsman if they don't refund. DON'T USE THEM

The worst kind of scammers

This company is used in the scam by dynamo cover to rip off customers. This is run by the Apprentice Candidate Alex Mills from Barry, South Wales. They encourage ratings for Dynamo Cover after purchase, and then trade through recover cover when you actually need service. They take multiple small payments so that people don't bother chasing. Alex Mills drives a new Ferrari and is worth 16m from ripping people off. Where are the Regulators? Why is trust pilot allowing this? This has gone on for years. A class action should be taken out against all involved.

This is clearly a scam company with one…

This is clearly a scam company with one little man who knows the law, in charge. I saw the bad reviews after I went ahead and immediately asked for my money back, they responded by saying I would have to pay £9.99 for it, so I asked to not auto-renew and they said that it would cost £6.85. They have so worked this out so they don't do anything and still get paid. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO MONEY SUPERMARKET as that is where I found them and trusted them because of it, Moneysupermarket said that the company is regulated therefore they can't do anything, I said this looks so bad on MSM and asked them to look at the reviews. They have reported my complaint to the complaints department , and low and behold I suddenly find on the trustpilot site, a stunning review. Oh dear, how sad, I do hope MONEY SUPERMARKET don't fall for it !!!!!

Excellent breakdown service

My car went into limp mode and wouldn’t drive over 15mph. So I put it back on my drive and called recover cover as I have home assist. I got through and spoke to someone within a minute, Luke on the phone was super helpful asked me what garage I wanted my car towing to if it couldn’t be fixed and help was with me within half an hour. My car was towed to my garage of choice. I’m very happy with the service I received. I must say I was very worried after reading all the bad reviews about auto renew but the breakdown service is great and at this moment in time I’d be happy for my breakdown cover to auto renew.

What a joke

What a joke. Just moved house and emailed this company to change my address details and was told I would have to pay £9.99 for this service! 18% of the cost price of the insurance. What a rip off!

Avoid them scammers at work!!

I made a mistake of taking this breakdown cover without checking the reviews. It is 100% scam. Set you up for auto renewal without any other option. I called the following day to take it off I would be charged £9.99 + £9.99 admin fee for 1 year cover. So I decide to cancel it and was charged £9.99 admin fee even though I am in cooling off period.

Avoid

Tried to call 10 times and no one picked up. Then I get a text asking me to complete 6 pages of bumpf before I can get someone out to me. Had to sign up with AA in the end.

Avoid at all costs.

1*. Like 97% of others

1*. Like 97% of others. Had the policy for a year. No issues. I didn’t need to use them.
Credit card statement today with a charge on it. Auto renewal. I didn’t ask for nor did I want my policy to auto renew. And their own literature clearly says “to renew your policy call us on.....”. I received no renewal invite.
Not in the post nor by email. And like everyone else I’ve been charged £10 to cancel something that I didn’t ask for nor want.
Hopefully some folk will come on here first and do some research before staying clear. I wish I had.....

This is not a good recovery service

This is not a good recovery service, misleading information, roadside assistance is only if you break down not when there is an accident. Automatic renewal very difficult to cancel renewal. Waste of your money. Can get better deal and service from AA.

ZERO STARS

THIS COMPANY ARE LESS FLEXIBLE THAN A WHALE-BONE CORSET. THEY RENEWED MY INSURANCE WITHOUT ME REQUESTING IT AND THEN REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND BECAUSE I DIDN'T NOTICE THEY HAD TAKEN MY MONEY WITHIN THEIR '14 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD'. I SOLD THE VEHICLE, BUT BECAUSE I SOLD IT AFTER THE RENEWAL DATE (BY TWO DAYS) THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME EVEN A PART OF MY £96.00 FEE BACK. DISGUSTING.

Be aware

Be aware, this company is linked to Dynamo Cover Uk who I had taken my original policy out with. My cover was renewed without any prior notification. Although, apparently an email had been sent from 'recover cover' (who I didn’t even know I was a customer of) which I still can't find. Money came out of my account last night, I called at 0900 today and was charged a £9 admin fee, while also feeling as if I was the office entertainment. Not the best way to treat customers. No need to respond, I've heard all of the 'terms and conditions re auto renewal' I will be avoiding this company in the future hideous customer service.

Avoid

Unbelievable that this company will not change vehicle covered mid term. Best way to get "customer service" is via email, quick response, whereas phones don't seem to be answered.
Make sure you email them and cancel your automatic renewal then leave them forever!
