Order took 3 months longer than original commitment. Several missed dates and poor communication, confusion about the status of the order.

We ordered the sauna and starter kit and knew it was on backorder, but no one reached out to us to keep in contact on how long this would be. We got minimal help from the staff and the tracking numbers were wrong. We had to do a lot of the tracking ourselves. Additionally, when our starter kit did not get delivered, the staff said they would send another one. They never did and I had to contact them again before anyone sent a replacement. I hope the sauna is better than the service.

We’ve had a great experience with Redwood Outdoors. The sauna and cold plunge are both high quality, well built, and look amazing. Everything works great and has been a huge hit at our property. Their customer service ( Jared) was also excellent — very responsive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the process. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a sauna or cold plunge!

Staff were excellent. However, shipping issues eventually became rather problematic. Staff did try to assist as best as possible

Love the product. Took a while for this popular unit, but worth the wait.

I am thoroughly enjoying my Outdoor Gargen sauna! It’s just for me but I love how I can recline on the bench with plenty of room! Currently, temp gets to 182 degrees at head level with the touch pad set at 170 degrees! ( I moved the sensor closer to head level). If set to max temp of 294, it will get to 205 degrees (too hot for me at this time). I use the sauna 5 times a week for 2 15 minute sessions. Lots of hydration and electrolytes! Don’t forget the wool sauna hat and wool briefs! Very glad I went with a traditional sauna!

Easy build, nice looking. Got the middle priced heater between the 3 offered and only issue is having trouble getting the sauna above 150 degrees.

We made a family event of assembling our sauna. Taken in stages, we had fun laying out the parts, figuring out how things fit together properly and making sure we understood the intended outcome each step of the way. We took our time over the weekend and were in no rush. If we had to disassemble something we had already done, like putting the benches in before we installed the floor, we took a break and went back to it, understanding how we could make the parts fit better together. When you are this close to finishing, you have to remember to breathe and read the directions again. A word of advice: don't over-torque the screws, just in case you have to take them out again.

Overpriced and unhappy with the quality of the product

love the sauna and heater but the magnetic door is a problem staying open and you have mailed me a new one and it still has trouble staying closed.

What a wonderful sauna! Very well packaged and comes with intuitive instructions. We bought a 3 person Cove and put it together on a terraced patio in our backyard. We upgraded the stove to the 8 kWh Harvia Spirit for the quick heat up and WiFi convenience. Customer service from various RO staff has been very helpful.

We finally set up our sauna!
First, a note on why I didn't rate this the full 5 stars:
We purchased this unit in November and did not receive it until March. We had our hopes set on using it through our New England winter, so that was disappointing. Setting proper expectations on the timeline would have been appreciated. But we've had a cold spring, so this is still great timing.
My husband set this up mostly by himself with a little assistance. It's like a grown-up lego kit!
We had our first session yesterday and it was PERFECT! We got the higher-end wifi-enabled heating unit which I definitely recommend. If you're considering a "cheaper" option, think twice. The fact that we can operate this remotely from indoors is wonderful and I wanted to be sure it had enough power to really get hot in the winter.
We've purchased some fun accessories, which add a lot of charm to the unit.
Overall, we feel we're living our best lives now!
Thank you, Redwood Outdoors!

I like the sauna but the customer service was not good, I had to call several times to find out the status because it was delayed. Not once was I called about the delay. To be honest I was in the process of looking for another sauna when I got a call from the company delivering it.

I purchased a 6-person sauna from Redwood Outdoor Sauna and while the sauna itself is a quality product, the experience getting there was one of the most frustrating customer service journeys I've had.
Before purchasing, I made it very clear that timing was critical I needed the kit delivered within a specific window between my travels. I was assured, repeatedly and confidently, that this would not be a problem. That assurance is what got them my business and my money. The moment that payment cleared, everything changed.
Communication slowed to a crawl. What was initially a responsive and friendly exchange became increasingly difficult as time went on. Follow-up emails and calls were met with delays, vague responses, and a string of excuses. Week after week I was told my delivery would be on time, only to be handed another excuse when that deadline passed.
Most frustrating of all, they eventually informed me that they make no guarantee of delivery — something that was conveniently never mentioned before the sale was finalized. For a product at this price point, that is simply unacceptable.
When I raised my concerns about the delays and broken promises, I was essentially told to let it all go once the sauna arrived as if a finished installation would erase weeks of stress, broken commitments, and poor communication. It doesn't.
I want to be fair: the sauna is well-made and I do enjoy it. But a great product does not excuse a company that becomes unreachable after payment, makes promises they don't intend to keep, and then dismisses legitimate grievances with a "you got your sauna, didn't you?" attitude. Qualilty, I would say you can get better else in terms of the finish.
If you're considering purchasing from Redwood Outdoor Sauna, go in with eyes wide open get everything in writing, do not rely on verbal assurances about delivery timelines, and be prepared to fight for communication once your payment is processed.
Personally go somewhere else, less headache... than deal with this command

Customer service needs improvement. I have one question during the assembly of the Cove regarding the direction of the slope of the roof. I was wondering how to have the roof to slope down away from the house while still have the window facing the pool and not the wall. The rep says he will check with his design team. It’s been over a week with 2 follow-up emails and still no feedback. I’m putting the assembly on hold waiting for his feedback and send my contractor home. This is not acceptable! Please help.

I really appreciated the efforts to make things right. There was some damage on my shower and the sent out new parts to fix the problem

We’ve had a great experience so far with our Redwood Outdoor sauna. The assembly process was surprisingly straightforward—everything is well thought out from a design standpoint, which makes putting it together much easier than expected. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and having the video reference as a supplement was especially helpful in making sure we stayed on track.
Compared to other options we looked at in the market, this sauna seems to offer solid quality for the price. While we’ve only owned it for a short time, the materials and overall build feel durable and well-made, giving us confidence that it will hold up over time.
Another standout has been the customer support. We had a few questions related to our order and some additional items we purchased, and the team was responsive and helpful in getting everything sorted out.
Overall, we’re very happy with our purchase and would recommend Redwood Outdoor to others looking for a good balance of quality, ease of setup, and customer service.

I love my sauna. However, I am experiencing some initial issues.
1. The light for the sauna inconsistently turns on, I can hear the relay switch but sometimes will not turn on.
2. Several pieces came with damaged tounges on the wood pieces. RW support team would not send me replacement pieces but said it wouldn’t effect the structural integrity of the sauna. That’s not what I asked, I asked for my materials to be free from damage. Considering these are small pieces now that compound over the build I do have some gaps in my sauna I am not pleased about.
Overall, RW is a great product and something I researched a lot before buying vs competitors. I’m slightly dissatisfied with the support team.
