I find it very clean and very easy to use. It has really simplified the process of writing which I greatly appreciate. Also, I met my amazing cover designer there and I'm in love with how it looks.
Reedsy Disovery Book Review... I got none but my money back.
okay, this is a revision of my initial bad review. I'm still very disappointed that Reedsy didn't find one single reviewer for my memoir but after I aired my displeasure, somebody stirred and offered me a full refund. I would have preferred a review but at least I'm no longer out of pocket. It's kind of sad that's what it takes but I have no hard feelings. Reedsy offered me good and professional service before, so I'll let it rest.

Reedsy is such a well organized website, and it makes writing so much easier. I love how so many of my favorite features are free. I have already recommended it to several.
Very simple
Very simple, well thought details, making it very easy to write; making it possible to write personal books without concerning anything especially in this AI age; I'm using it collecting digital notes in a place (turning them mini books) ; for making it physical.
The range of editors
The range of editors, connection with other writers, competitions and the experience on the Reedsy site was great. My editor Chris was fantastic.
Reedsy and Me= happiness
I enjoy how easy and intuitive the Reedsy website is and it's functionality. It's great to hire professionals as well through the website and extremely easy.
I highly recommend Reedsy to any writer because of it offers so many options and is a great resource!
Three Experiences - SAME Great Outcome!
I've worked with the professionals at Reedsy 3 different times now - a book editing project, graphic design with technical preflight for KDP, and a marketing strategy collaboration. Every single time has been great, and I look forward to the next opportunity.

The poof reading and editing experience was professional, elevated my message and was very responsive and easy.
It’s very intuitive and easy to edit
It’s very intuitive and easy to edit. I recommended it to a friend of mine that is also writing a book and she loved it too. Looking forward to write more books on it.

The website is NOT designed for Older Authors. I’m in my 60s. If you want an older generation's wealth of Knowledge, get off AI customer service and cater to a broader talent pool. I wanted to sign up for a premium account, but I can’t get past the profile page, and the "AI" customer service..lol, none of this is your problem, so I'm moving on. Thanks
Reedsy is Super Helpful!
Reedsy is Super Helpful!
I started using Reedsy back in October to start writing my first draft of my novel. It's super intuitive and I love seeing how much I've written everyday and looking at the little graph.
Then when I exported my manuscript to get a physical copy printed to edit, it was so easy to format! And the formatting turned out lovely!
I love Reedsy!!!
Great Experience with Reedsy
I found Beth, my editor, through Reedsy. She carried out the editing of my book and did an excellent job, significantly improving the clarity and overall quality of the manuscript. Reedsy’s platform made the whole process straightforward and easy to manage — from finding and reviewing editors, to communicating and tracking the project. I was very happy with both Beth’s work and the overall experience of using Reedsy.
Free and still not worth it
This is a complicated, disorganized platform designed for writers who aren’t—writers. You might as well ask a.i. to help. At least they won’t keep emailing you after you quit. Looking for formatting? Go elsewhere!

Great experience professional service
Great experience professional service. I loved working with them
This is THE platform for authors to find quality editors, cover designers, and more.
I’m a new author working on my first book. I knew I needed an editor, a cover designer, and someone to do the interior layout. I had searched through many, many different options online. While there were other services that could meet some of my needs, almost none were a one-stop-shop, and the ones that were, were inconsistent in their quality of work and service.
Then I found Reedsy.
Let’s start with price. I’m the type of person who is generally put off by having to request quotes for pricing. I want clear, transparent pricing up front without having to correspond with someone. Well, Reedsy doesn’t work that way. But you what? I’m actually perfectly okay with that. You create a “brief”—a description of the job you would like someone to do for you. The form to create a brief is well thought out. It allows you to be very specific about what you’re looking for, which is a great way to ensure that you find the perfect freelancer to work on your book. Once you’ve done that, you choose up to five freelancers on Reedsy to send the brief to. Each freelancer has a fairly comprehensive profile that includes details about the work they do, their experience and qualifications, work samples, reviews, and more. Once they get your brief, if they can either decline the job, or send a quote. When sending a quote, they can also send samples and you can even chat back and forth to work on details or negotiate price. I was pleasantly surprised surprised to see that most freelancers reply the same day. Overall, the whole process of getting quotes was actually great. It was quick, painless, and gave me several good options. There is sort of one downside though. But it’s not really a negative thing. That’s the price. Do not expect Fiverr prices. For a copy editor for my 80k word book, quotes ranged from a very reasonable $1200 CAD up to $4k. The price really depends on the professions you hire. But I don’t think this is a bad thing. And that leads us into…
The quality of the freelancers and their work.
Every single freelancer I’ver interacted with has been very friendly and professional. It is honestly a very refreshing difference from other freelancer sites. I’m not sure what the process is for becoming a freelancer on Reedsy, but it feels like there must be a vetting process or some sort of filter to ensure that their freelancers are all of a certain quality. This was by far the biggest advantage I found this platform to have. Yes, I did have a couple freelancers respond to quote requests with a thoughtless, generic response asking for details that were already provided in the brief. And yes, there were some who didn’t fully understand my vision for my book. But, for every quote request I sent out, I got at least one or two offers that were perfect for my needs and budget.
I was originally only going to use Reedsy to find an editor (which I did and had an amazing experience), but decided to also use the platform for my cover design and interior layout because my experience was so positive.
If you have the budget for it, this is the way to go. If the pricing here is a little steeper than you would like, save up for it. Honestly, the quality of the services you get will greatly benefit your book. If you care about your work the way I do, then you owe it to yourself and your book to hire skilled professionals to help you make your book the best it can be. For a first time author, the experience I had on Reedsy far exceeded my expectations and plan on using this platform for all my future publications. If you’re an author who is self publishing, check it out.
Its such a good website!
Reedsy is a great platform
Reedsy is a great platform for building a story you plan to publish. It has a clear layout, all the tools you could ever need and offers a lot to authors even in the free version. I won't be going back to Google Docs or Microsoft Word to write a novel again.
You should try Reedsy Studio—especially if you’re a beginner—like me!
What made my experience great, is that Reedsy has a TON of options and great for beginners to use—like me! It’s really easy and fun to use, with a organized layout to make the experience better!

I am an author and have tried multiple apps and storyboards to write. I even tried Google Docs. None of them has worked nearly as well as Reedsy Studio. I highly recommend it for authors. No crashes, does not lose your work, and stays in the format you type in.
