Very disappointed
They have asked for landlord references I have provided.
They have asked for employment I have provided. But because I work for a small company, they would not accept the company email.
The company has 2 names. Eventually their saw the company email on the website, their have asked for references. My director has provided.
After nearly 20 days.
They still not satisfied.
The state agent is delaying the return my holding deposit.
I had to seek legal advice and they are not entitled to.
I really do advice not to use them.
Where I rented in past I used another reference company. And it was not like that at all.
I have a very good credit score as well.
Really it has proved impossible with rent for sure.
I even asked to pay some months rents in advance.
The state agent has said that I will have to pay the £60 pounds fee, when returning my holding deposit.
Stressful very stressful

We aim to make the referencing process as easy and smooth as possible for all applicants, no matter how complex the circumstances, and would never wish anyone to have a stressful experience.
Rent4sure is only responsible for carrying out the referencing checks. We have nothing to do with the holding deposit and do not require any payment from applicants.

Great Experience
As an agency we have been using Rent4Sure for a long time and always had good service, until now. I recently spoke to Emma in the referencing team has gone above and beyond to help with a query and was happy to do so. Excellent fast referencing for a rental flat
Excellent fast turnaround (less than one day) for flat my referencing. I received the initial email form Rent4Sure at 2pm and had uploaded my documents by 10pm the same evening onto their portal (very nicely laid out and easy to follow). My employer and current rental agency had replied back to Rent4Shure the next day by 9.30am. At 10am got an email from my rental agency that I had passed all the checks. I have no doubt in recommending Rent4Sure.

Unfortunately I do not have a good word to say about the two employees who was dealing with me. I had to constantly chase them up after being told via email they didn’t have the right information (which they did) or I had missed payments (which I didn’t). When I would phone the company up to speak to the two dealing with my case they was always conveniently busy, the other members of staff would always confirm all relevant info has been uploaded and was there to see and would say there are no other issues, though as they wasn’t dealing with my case they would put a note on system as it would fall to the ones dealing with me to finalise. Every time I would be informed that they would call me back I never once received a call back. Their sheer incompetence meant I lost the property myself and my wife was looking forward to moving into something I see as totally unforgivable. It’s a matter I will be taking forward

Since they have done my referencing I have been hounded by spam emails & calls -and no way to stop this. They sell your data to third parties even though I opted out. Disaster. No idea why reputable companies would use them.

I have only given 1 star as I cant give none. Lost a day of my life I wont get back dealing with these people . I was guaranteeing rent for a relative , demanded in spite of his being willing to pay 6 months in advance . This organisation deluged me with intrusive and rude emails demanding ever more information. I eventually gave these people more than enough information for a criminal to commit mortgage fraud without knowing who or where they operate from. Avoid them if at all possible.
I will never guarantee again.
