Had a great stay at R&W in the Yorkshire dales, amazingly designed cabin with beautiful views. Would definitely return!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had booked the right place for our mini break. The location could not have been more perfect, we totally switched off for the first time in a long time. The bed was so comfortable and everything in the cabin was of a great standard and finished beautifully.

We didn't want our trip to end. Can't wait to visit again one day.

Absolutely beautiful way to wind down and switch off!

We spent a few nights at the Yorkshire site with our 9month old and toddler, it was cosy and wonderful. There was a slight gradient to the floor level (the elm) so it’s not a location that you can take you eyes off a toddler (…but where can you!). Some cabins looked like they’d had more of a drop to the edge of the cabin, however some looked like there was more flat ground surrounding the cabin.

The service was lovely and support was only a message away if needed (none was!). The whistle kettle was an hit! There was everything you needed and more storage than we expected. Even when you aim to travel light with 2 little ones you end up with a little more then planned!

Our toddler has named it snuggly house and keeps requesting to go back.

It’s located in an area we are quite familiar with, brilliant long walks that are easily adaptable for shorter legs and carrying little ones. A few nice pubs with outdoor areas!

It is definitely on our list to visit again and we’ve already shared it with our family and friend!

Our review doesn’t do it justice, it’s a must go to! Words can’t capture the atmosphere that’s they’ve successfully created!

The most relaxing, peaceful, and soothing stay. This was my second time staying in a Rest + Wild cabin, the first time at the Yorkshire location. The cabins are beautifully decorated, well furnished, and have everything you could need. The provision of playing cards and backgammon were a really nice touch. Plenty of storage and the amenities in the cabin were perfect. There is a fairly steep walk down to the Larch cabin so make sure you’re wearing suitable footwear when you arrive and then enjoy the peace!

Wow! Where do I start. It’s an absolute rest in the while, more of a retreat and switch off from the world. There is absolutely no signal there and it’s AMAZING - forces you to relax and take it all in. There is so much to do while staying there from walking, reading, playing games. To cooking, BBQ, fire pit, the copper bath or relaxing with the views with something sparkling. It simply was perfect in every way and just what we needed. From the moment we booked, checked in and checked out the team were there for everything. I highly recommend staying here in Yorkshire.

We absolutely loved our week’s stay at The Rowan in Yorkshire - the location and view are incredible and the cabin was the best we’ve ever stayed in!

The setting is idyllic, the size, style and interior design of the cabin are all spot on and we loved having the outdoor bath and fire pit overlooking the beautiful view through the trees.

We spent most afternoons and evenings relaxing at the cabin (including listening to the local owl!), although there's also plenty to see and do in the local area.

The attention to detail and quality of the products in the cabin - the dinnerware, bath/shower products, bedding, towels, lighting, finishing touches, books, games, etc - were all perfect. The storage area under the floor was a real bonus as well - especially for a longer trip!

Absolutely stunning and the perfect place for a retreat 😍 had the most re energising few days and rest and wild was the absolute perfect place to do it.

I recently spent a week in a charming cabin nestled in Exmoor's breathtaking beauty, and it was a truly unforgettable experience.

Stunning Views: The cabin offers panoramic views of rolling hills and lush greenery. Each morning, we woke to mist and clouds lifting off the landscape creating a picturesque backdrop.

Luxurious Comfort: The bed was amazing—plush with high-quality linens. Sinking into this bed with a book and glass of wine was perfect

Peace and Quiet: Tucked away from the rest of the world, the cabin offered profound peace and quiet. The only sounds were rustling leaves and chirping birds, cows and a sheep dog (in the next field one afternoon), providing a much-needed escape from urban noise and stress.

Cozy Fire Pit Evenings: The outdoor fire pit was a highlight. The warmth of the fire and the cool, crisp air created a cosy and intimate setting.

Everything you need: Apart from your main food, every utensil you’ll need is provided. There is even a decent sized fridge with a tiny freeze compartment.

In conclusion, our Exmoor cabin stay was perfect. The stunning views, luxurious bed, peace and quiet, and cosy fire pit evenings made it a rejuvenating getaway. Five stars all the way!

My fourth time at Rest + Wild (which says it all!). I was lucky enough to be one of the first to stay at their new Yorkshire Dales cabins…and the location is their best so far!

The view from the cabins is incredible - I spent hours watching the cows & sheep grazing, and birds and rabbits playing in the trees outside the cabins. Rest + Wild have truly thought of everything from botanical hair & body products, linen bed sheets & luxurious towels… it’s luxury with a view!

Highly recommend following the walks & activities in the welcome pack, as there’s loads to do in the local area. I returned from my break feeling fully rested & relaxed! Thank you Rest + Wild team!

We stayed at the Willow in the Yorkshire Dales for 3 nights over the weekend and had the most wonderful time. The views from the cabin are incredible and if you are looking for extra privacy then the Willow cabin is the one to choose as it is separate from the others. We were blessed with gorgeous weather so we made the most of cooking outside and enjoying walks with our dog. We have stayed at the other sites but I found this one to be the most relaxing. The Rest + Wild staff are so helpful if you have any questions before your stay and they are only a WhatsApp message away if you need anything during your stay.

The cabin we stayed in - The Willow - is absolutely beautiful and has a gorgeous view. The bed is superbly comfortable and the dual aspect picture windows allow you to see both the woods and the dale spread out below. The copper bath is a real highlight and there are a couple of options for sitting and eating outside so you can make the most of the outdoor area. The decor is tasteful and considered, with really practical storage for bags and groceries so you can keep the cabin looking tidy during your stay. I loved that in this cabin there is a small dining table and two wooden chairs with cushions (that double up as armchairs) so it’s perfect for eating in comfort - the Shropshire cabin we stayed in had just stools and one armchair I think. The space felt bright and cheerful in the sunshine and the pinkish red colour was really cosy in the evening. The bathroom is lovely - tasteful and clean with plenty of space. We will be staying again - the location and quiet were just perfect for switching off and relaxing at the end of a long term.

To start the view was incredible and definitely a highlight to the trip. It was so peaceful and quiet around the cabin with some lovely wildlife near by. From the bed sheets to the log burner, the outdoor copper bath to the fire pit.. everything was perfect. Just amazing experience to refresh and recharge! Would 100% recommend to a friend or family member, plus we’d also love to go back again.

Everything is perfect from the minute you arrive. The surroundings. The peace. The positioning of each cabin. Interiors. The little touches such as bath salts, quality hand soap, shampoo, etc. I especially loved the wheel barrow aspect of transporting your luggage, just brilliant. All well thought out. Would return in a heartbeat. Thank you!

A really lovely place to stay and experience some relaxing time out. The view is gorgeous and the weather was good enough to cook and eat outside. The cabin smells gorgeous! It’s well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. Really well situated for Ludlow. I will be back for some more walking and time out.

The Larch at Rest+Wilds new spot in the Dales… What more to say other than, fabulous! The whole team have outdone themselves, and couldn’t have done any more for me, making a truly unforgettable, and memorable week away, thank you!

The cabin was exceptional, exceptionally decorated/styled, and had everything anyone really needs for a trip away. The detail even on the crockery, the colour of the glassware, has been thought through in great detail. ***Strange not having a three pin plug, but, you find ways to work with it.

Whilst the cabin inside is amazing, the view outside, is that on a different level. The view of Jervaux Abbey ruin from your bed, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the rolling countryside from the outdoor copper bath, outstanding views from all aspects.

I could not recommend this enough to those with busy jobs in fast paced environments. It was, by far, the most relaxing holiday since the pandemic - and working in a hospital during that time - one of the ten busiest hospitals in the country, that’s a big statement.

This place is magical, and has plenty of great spots to visit nearby. I will be coming back very soon! Thanks Jimmy, Sarah, Kate, Amy and team for a wonderful week!

We stayed at Rest and Wild Wren cabin over the weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. The stunning views provided a breathtaking backdrop that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The decor was modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, making the cabin feel both cozy and elegant.

We particularly loved the fire pit, which was ideal for relaxing evenings. Highly recommended

Beautiful visit away from home. Gorgeous views of the Yorkshire Dales landscape. A calm and easy stay, away from the city and technology. Would highly recommend booking. We are already planning our next trip to return.
