Took weeks upon weeks to sort the car out for delivery and tried to get answers and updates what a waste of time that was, get past from pillar to post and never get a straight answer, that's if you can get hold of anyone. Im still waiting for stuff off them that should have come with the car 3 weeks later. I will never use these again an absolute embarrassment and a joke of a company.

We purchased a 2019 Hyundai Tucson from the Hyundai garage in Guildford for £14,500, expecting a reliable vehicle and at least a basic level of aftercare.
Unfortunately, our experience was anything but reassuring.

When driving the car, we noticed a loud whirring noise on the motorway. We took it back to the dealership where they diagnosed a wheel bearing issue. After it was "fixed", the noise was still very much present, forcing us to return the vehicle again. This time, they admitted they couldn’t identify the exact problem but suspected it might be the gearbox. However, they couldn't even look at it properly until September, over a month away, and in the meantime suggested we just continue to drive it. We simply were not going to drive a car with an undiagnosed mechanical issue and a noise that was unbearable.

Feeling we had no other choice, we decided to return the vehicle. Even that turned into a frustrating ordeal. Despite the car being returned, we had to chase the dealership for over a week to get our £14,500 refunded. Only after repeatedly calling and finally speaking to someone in the finance department did the money appear, within 30 minutes, which only added to our frustration about why it took so long in the first place.

What was most disappointing throughout this whole process was that not a single apology was offered by any of the staff we dealt with. They couldn’t care less.

Oh and on top of that when we said we’d return the car they proposed two other cars both £2000 more expensive!

We expected far better from an official Hyundai dealership.

On 12 August 2024 I purchased a 3 year old Ioniq 5 from this dealer. The sale process was brief as there was no PX. The hand-over was also brief! On returning home I was dismayed to find that on doing a DVLA search on the car I found out that despite being assured the car had been fully serviced, there were outstanding recalls. When I later contacted my local Hyundai dealership I found that the number of updates outstanding were 5! On phoning Richmond Hyundai it was suggested that I brought the vehicle back, at my convenience for the recalls to be carried out. Living some 50 miles from the dealership this was indeed a great inconvenience. Several months went by with no follow-up from the dealership in the way of a reminder. I received various marketing emails even offering to sell me another model Hyundai! During the last 11 months I have sent various emails of complaint, but to-date I have yet to receive the courtesy of a reply. ( Apart from an automated reply which read: "Thank you for letting us know. If you do require our assistance in the near future, we are ready to help.") I am left with a clear impression that they just don't care. I am writing this review now as I have just made a reservation to have the car serviced elsewhere. Needless to say I will not be replacing my current car at this dealership.
