Say bye bye to your deposit
First the pick up was terrible. Someone should be waiting for us at the airport. Nobody was there. After calling the company multiple times without any respons a turkish taxi driver helped us and they came to pick us up.
The first car we they gave us had a lot of damage. The radio didn’t work and the car itself was allready with a lot of damages on the outside. We got another car. A little bit Better but still damaged. The tank was completely empty.
They took 1200 deposit that we would get back after bringing te car back in the same condition as we got it.
After a week we brought the car back without any damages.
They took the deposit of 1200 euro anyway! I’m still waiting on my money back. Haven’t had a reply or anything so far.
Please don’t rent your car here! Worst Rental experience so far ever.

This right-cars rental is a scam. They have so many hidden fees due and they make customers buy there insurance even if tje clients have there own insurance or bought insurance through the website. Don't fall for their cheap price, it all a lie. Go with known companies. I'll never get a car rental form them ever again.
Hired a Car at Antalya Airport
Hired a Car at Antalya Airport. Was asked to pay over £1000 deposit. Was told the deposit would be returned within 28 working days, it wasn't.
I contacted Head Office in the UK, who chased it up for me and sent me a Bank Receipt showing payment would be made on 15/10. It wasn't. Since then Head Office hasn't replied to any of my emails. I have now raised it as a dispute with my Credit Card company. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
Worst rental agency I've used in 20 years.
I 100% agree with the other reviews -- this agency is running a scam with undisclosed and hidden admin/insurance fees that aren't presented until check-in and required in order to proceed. They barely provide minimum standards for rental agencies, utilize virtual agents who make "offers" to you for the final cost, but clearly can adjust the price themselves if wanted. I experienced this. Spoke with two agents, each offering a different final price and the second agent asked me what the first offered. ITS A SCAM.
The advanced check in process online doesn't work. The phone number to contact them was pointless -the calls go nowhere. No one answers. I paid three times what I expected to pay and was unable to cancel because it was the last minute and there were no other rentals available. The check in process was awful, inefficient, and unprofessional. The car itself was incredibly basic and the value did not meet the cost I paid. I was quoted $40 and ended up paying almost $150.
Customers are required to utilize a specific shuttle service. I waited 45 minutes for their shuttle and called them twice for assistance. I would have hired an Uber to take me there faster, but no address was provided by RC. The bathroom at the rental facility was disgusting - dirty and had no toilet paper. It was obvious no one had cleaned it in days. In 20 years, this is the worst rental agency I've ever had business with. Avoid at all costs

Avoid right cars
I would rate zero if I could. They charged hidden fees, like $49.99 admin fee to use my own insurance. The safety deposit was twice what other companies ask for. They required me to show the coverage of my policy, not just the policy number. They use a virtual zoom like process for the check in. The rep was not helpful and could not answer basic questions. He was curt and was difficult to understand. They aren’t located at the airport, it as a 15-20 minute shuttle to their offsite location. I would have walked out if it wasn’t after midnight after a long flight. We found out they are more expensive than other companies after adding in the hidden charges.

This company is run by scam artists, I wish I'd read reviews before have. No one was waiting at airport, had to call and then wait 20 minutes. At the office they requested £1700 for deposit, the card somehow didn't work so manager said post him £500 for extra insurance and we will be ok. Thankfully my wife had started reading these reviews so we just cancelled. They should be locked up

I believe this company is running a scam under the name of a rent-a-car business. They haven’t refunded the deposit they took nearly three months ago, and they charged €300 for a 4 cm scratch. Despite having purchased additional insurance with a company called AXA, I haven’t been able to get either my money or my deposit back. I’ve initiated a chargeback through my bank — it’s impossible to deal with them otherwise. Stay away, they are complete fraudsters.

I have rent a car at the beginning of August 2025. I should paid deposit about eur 1.200,00 at the office.

Once you finally get to the off airport site they roll out the fees like insurance verification fee and toll fee. $200 extra later you get your keys and go find your car. Never Again.

Wooow, this was an experience. If not the worst, definitely one of the worst.
We booked a car and added the “Super Insurance Cover”. We assumed Right Cars had their own facilities, but soon realized that in Iceland the rental is handled by “Nordic Travel Group”.
After a fantastic trip, we returned the car. The staff immediately pointed out a scratch (to this day we have no idea how it happened – probably someone passing by the car). We stayed calm, thinking: “Well, we bought the best possible insurance, so no problem.” But when we mentioned the insurance, the response was: “Yes, but we are only a partner of Right Cars. You have to pay for the damage first, and then claim the money back from Right Cars.”
That’s when the nightmare started. Getting money back from Right Cars was almost impossible. It took me nearly three weeks to even get a reply – and only after I threatened them with a chargeback through my card issuer and escalation to the European Consumer Center (ECC).
After that, things finally started to move.
My best advice: If you face the same problem, go straight to your Mastercard/Visa and request an investigation. Tell them the company took money without justification. Visa/Mastercard will then open a case and require evidence from both sides.
Nordic Travel Group – You should seriously consider your reputation. Is it wise to work with a company like Right Cars, which is clearly not trustworthy?
"Absolute Nightmare – Avoid RightCars in Crete!"
We booked a Volkswagen Golf (gasoline) through DiscoverCars for 12 days in Crete and fully prepaid online, including insurance. What should have been simple and transparent turned into an absolute nightmare with RightCars Crete.
When we arrived to pick up the car, instead of providing the reserved Golf, the staff pressured and intimidated us into signing a completely new contract. They told us directly that unless we immediately paid an extra €288, we would lose our entire prepayment and be left without a car at all. This was not presented as a choice. It was forced on us. Staff even shouted at us, making the whole experience extremely aggressive and stressful.
Under this pressure, and with limited English, we had no choice but to sign and accept an Opel Astra diesel – a car we never booked, never wanted, and which is not equivalent to the Golf petrol we had reserved. This felt like outright fraud and coercion.
It is true that our €100 deposit was later refunded, but the €288 we were forced to pay has never been returned. On top of that, their claim that we received “free assistance” is a complete lie – we did not receive any additional service whatsoever. At no point were the conditions or reasons for these charges properly explained. We were simply bullied into paying.
The impact was enormous: instead of enjoying our trip, this ruined our honeymoon. We spent days stressed and frustrated, not knowing if further problems would appear when returning the car. This company completely destroyed the peace of mind we had paid for.
To make matters worse, when we later looked at other reviews online, we saw many other customers reporting the exact same experiences: forced extra payments, aggressive staff, cars not matching the reservation, and no accountability. This clearly shows it is not a mistake or miscommunication – it is a recurring scam built into the way RightCars operates.
We are still trying to get a proper resolution through DiscoverCars, but RightCars refuses to take responsibility. Their conduct is shameful, unprofessional, and fraudulent.
If you are considering renting a car in Crete: avoid RightCars at all costs. Do not risk your money, your vacation, or your peace of mind with this company.

When booked said in terminal but means guys in terminal to pick you up (which he wasn't ) and take you to a remote location. Had a few credit cards none worked so said need to take out extra insurance at a cost of 140 euros. Said but my cards don't work and by a miracle suddenly works.Since heard later and looked at other reviews this is normal procedure for these scammed.i have received a refund from my credit card company.

Biggest SCAM!!! We arrived in the evening in Antalya because our flight was delayed. We go every year to Turkey and every year we take a rental car. Never had any issues.. until we rented a car with “Right Cars” or also under the name (office) “Zezgo Car Rentals”. They picked us up at the airport, 45min to late, and they drove us to a abandoned street to their office. They had a huge list of prices when sometimes breaks down on the car. When doing the arrangements for the deposit, they claimed our credit card wasnt working. Weird because we use this card every year for deposit. Only option was to pay this cash, which we didn’t do.
They claimed we need a local insurance because a global insurance wasn’t enough.
They left us stranded in the middle of a abandoned road at 1:00 in the middle of the night. We had to take a taxi back to the airport.
Conclusion: AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Car hire was different and much smaller than the one promised. When going through paperwork they told me the deposit would be taken and not just held but I would get it back within 28 working days. With no alternative and children with me I had to proceed. 6 weeks later I have still not got my deposit of €1000 returned and I have not had any response from any emails I send. Terrible experience with Right Cars.
We were given a diesel car, which has never happened to me with other rental companies across Europe. Not only are diesels more polluting, but the car was clearly not a recent model. During the trip, the DPF warning light came on several times – a problem typical of older diesel cars. The interior also showed signs of wear, which is unacceptable considering that rental cars are usually expected to be new or at least modern.
To make matters worse, there was a notice inside the car forbidding sand or wet clothes. Completely unrealistic, especially on an island known for its beaches!
The worst part happened when returning the vehicle: after refueling, the fuel gauge did not move up. When we reported tu to the receptionist, she said it was “normal” and told us we would lose our €100 deposit unless we filled up again. We were forced to refuel once more, ending up returning the car with significantly more fuel than it had when we first picked it up.
I have traveled all over Europe and never had such a bad rental experience. Strongly advise against using Right Cars.
