Avoid Right Cars Dalaman – Scam Alert
Booked a car in advance through Economy Bookings, paid upfront incl. full insurance. On arrival we were told we had to leave a €900 card deposit. Our card works globally, but the terminal “failed” several times. Our bank confirmed no payment attempts were made. We even tested the card at a nearby shop – it worked! The agent refused to give us the car unless we paid for extra insurance in cash (£220!). At 6am, exhausted, we had no choice.
They even have a policy of giving you the car with an empty fuel tank, and you’re expected to return it empty as well – absolutely ridiculous!
Reading reviews later, we discovered others had the exact same experience – clearly a systematic scam to force unnecessary payments. This is unacceptable. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be extorted on arrival.
Rented from Prague airport
Rented from Prague airport.
The car was exactly the one that I ordered (Octavia), clean, new.
Next day after returning the car we received a confirmation mail that no damage was found and everything is OK.
The service was good, the staff is professional.
I liked less the fact that they don't have telephone support 24/7 for case that something happen, but only the insurance company can answer you at not business hours.
FRAUD COMPANY!!!!!!
Dont rent any car with this company!! They cheat you just to force you to pay an very expensive insurance with them, otherwise they dont give you the car. Dont matters if you have a credit card for deposit. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Check before you drive away
I hired a car last summer from RC Zadar. When I returned, they found a scratch under the front bumper, which I don't think it was caused by me. I had to pay over £450. One advice for everyone: when you get your car, take 15 minutes of time and make pictures of EVERY detail of the car - inside and outside so that you can prove that everything was ok when you return it. If you do not, you WILL be charged for every little scratch, even if it was there before!
Extra fees! Filthy car! They don’t care!
When they say there “may be extra fees”, believe them! We ended up paying more for our rental car than the major carriers that would’ve been more convenient at the airport vs going via shuttle offsite. So be careful and don’t believe the low price deal you see online. It’s a trick!
The car was full of damage and it was filthy on the inside. When you get to the location you basically walk into this closet and talk to a guy over a computer screen which didn’t really bother me, but they don’t really go over all the paperwork. They just have you sign the screen and then at the very end when you think you were just about done, they tell you what the price is and your eyes will pop out of your head. they just shrug their shoulders. They say well if you would have read her disclaimers, it does say there may be extra fees… Then they give you a code and you have to go get your keys out of this little box in the entry. It wasn’t the easiest thing to find the car and then you’re supposed to take pictures of any damage that you see. I took over 20 photos because after my experience on the inside of “the closet“ I felt like this would be the kind of rental place that if a grain of sand hit the car, they would charge me for a new paint job. Beware! I wish I would’ve read the reviews first!!!
The pick up experience was horrible and they did not return the 900 EUR depost
TLDR; The pick up experience was horrible and they did not return the 900 EUR depost.
Long version: I rented a car in Izmir airport and had paid for it online. In the airport, it took them a very long time to bring the car and even then, it required us to travel with them to a remote store.
The worst part was that they charged us 900 EUR as deposit stating that they would refund this after returning the car. The refund never happened. I contacted them a few times but there was no response. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
Don’t book here even if its free
No shuttle as promised , I even called, cost $20.
Extra hidden fees even though I have my own insurance which is bs - they call it admin/insurance waiver fee. $64.95 and I had to argue to get it down from $95. Plus $400 deposit.
Took them over half an hour to get me a car cause there is no live person, only a computer to talk to some guy in the Philippines
NOTHING "RIGHT" ABOUT RIGHT CARS RENTAL!
I booked a pre-paid car rental through Car 8. The company they made the deal with was Right Cars at the Orlando airport. The low price seemed too good to be true, and it was! First, they get you away from the airport and that's when the SCAM begins! When I arrived to pick up the car, there were no live agents, just a screen and camera. I was told that my credit card could not be used to secure the rental as "Miguel" stated it was a pre-paid card. It was not. Then, he said I would be required to purchase THEIR insurance and Toll Pass, neither of which are required by their lengthy rental requirements, which I pointed out in the printed agreement, along with the credit card letter they required showing that insurance was covered by the credit card company. I was then told Right Cars wouldn't accept it and wouldn't rent me the car, even though all of their requirements had been met! After some choice words to "Miguel," and a second attempt to speak with another Right Cars representative, I found myself stranded and luckily, was able to convince another shuttle driver to return me to the Orlando airport, where I was able to rent a car from AVIS without the "bait and switch" BS I experienced from Right Cars. I don't fault Car 8, but they should be made aware of the fraudulent practices of Right Car and refuse to send people to get scammed by them! There is NOTHING right about "Right Cars!" AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Appalling in every way; do not touch them!
Appalling; no one from right cars met my family of two young sons and wife on our arrival at Dalaman airport, and no answer to my numerous phone calls. My young family were traumatised by the experience. I had to get a taxi to my hotel. No answer to my numerous phone calls to right cars the next day. Eventually the Turkish hotel owner got through and the (quite hard to believe) excuse that" they had an accident on in the way to the airport was the reason and that "they now had no car to rent to us". I am still bewildered as to why they did. It answer my 20+ phone calls to see where they were.
A shambles from start to finish! So let down by them. Stay WELL clear.
It's a scam!
It's a scam!! They give you low rate, then they claim that your credit card is not working to put the deposit to force you to take the hefty full insurance, I refused, so they cancelled the rental and didn't refund the mney or even respond to my emails! They work under the name/website right-cars.com , TAKE CARE!!! I ended up renting in international brands even if they are expensive.
Be careful ordering Mounjaro from here
Order #RA132931
I ordered three mounjaro pens which were supposed to arrive on 22nd August. They haven't come and my emails are being ignored!! There is no contact number I can find. They currently have nearly £500 of my money so be careful ordering here! Very disappointed!
I would not recommend Right Cars
I would not recommend Right Cars. During my rental, I found that the company is extremely nitpicky when returning vehicles. Even minor marks from normal driving, such as passing through roadworks or construction areas, were treated as damages and I was billed excessively. Instead of fair treatment and customer care, the focus seems to be on finding any excuse to charge extra. For anyone looking for a hassle-free rental experience, I would strongly advise choosing another provider.

We booked via stressfreerental and were sent to Right Cars. An awful experience. They tried to give us a smaller car than promised on the booking. Luckily we checked the car. The backseat was broken too. The lady at the reception was rude and argumentative saying we didn't pay anything and that we can go somewhere else if we don't like it. Which we did in the end. The other company mentioned to us that Right Cars has a bad reputation. Awful. Avoid.
Worst experience ever
Rented RC through carrentals.com. ist of all the shuttle took an hr to pick us up from houston Airport. Got to the center to pick up the car, there are no live agents. You will have to get infront of a monitor to speak to an agent- its vurtual. Was ist told 3 options for a deposit, $250+60, 500 +20 or $1000 I disagreed and he said, let me see what I can do for you, so he reduced it to $400 without additional fees. So, then, on my pick up time, it was supposed to be at 10.30am, but my flight was delayed and I got there at 2.21. So, I asked for the time adjustment to be the time I arrived and return time to be thesame and was told no it couldn't happen, that my pick up time would have to be the past time that was on the reservation, I disagreed, again. I've never in my life heard of that. And also the return time would have to be 10 30. I canceled my reservation and then, I requested for a shuttle to return me back to the airport. The driver arrived 30 mins later and I guess he was told I didn't book through them, he then said he would return in about 15 mins, waited another 30 mins and I just requested a Uber and left.
Do not book through this agency. It was my fault as I didn't do my due diligence, researching before booking
They deliberately restrRight Cars Global Rentals Sent Antalya - NEVER RENT A CAR, POLISH OPINION WHAT DOES IT MEAN? VERIFIED!ict the use of…
They deliberately restrict the use of valid credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) in order to force customers to purchase full insurance, claiming that the deposit cannot be made on these cards. The banks have confirmed that the cards are valid and have no restrictions.
I travel almost every month and my cards work everywhere, but not at Right Cars Global Rentals, Antalya International Airport, which is simply not true. Unfortunately, I have only now realized that they use such practices.
For Polish customers, this effectively excludes this rental company entirely. I strongly advise not to use their services!
Terrible car and company
Terrible car and company, car had multiple issues that i had to deal with and on top of that they have not replied back to my email, whatsapp or any messages regarding £1072 deposit they took out instead of holding.
Underhand practices, you'd be well advised to avoid.
I try not to leave negative feedback, but hiring from RC has been a really terrible experience, and I wish I'd checked here first. Hopefully this saves at least somebody from what appears to be a very, very familiar story.
First off, after a 30 minute wait at pick up, I found it was the wrong car they were giving to me - I had ordered an *intermediate* sized SUV (Kia Sportage or similar) specifically for the boot space with 3 people and 3 large cases. RC however were trying to give me a Seat Arona which is most definitely a compact SUV, with space for only one large case in the rear. Even RC's website agrees. The agent quoted the "or similar" clause and said they were similar - I stood firm that compact and intermediate are two distinct size categories, she did eventually agree but then it was another 45 minute wait while they went elsewhere to get the right size car. I had my own insurance policy, and so RC took a €1,480 deposit, which is high, but at least expected. I took a video and photos of the car including the damages that I could see, as they advise you to do. They of course tell you that "any dents or chips less than a 1 Euro coin size, we won't worry about, you only need to note any major damage". Nevertheless, I was careful in photographing everything that I could see.
Through the rental it was generally okay, the car was externally pretty tatty, scratched, dented, and as I found out during a flash shower, had badly perished windscreen wipers which caused something of a safety issue until I could stop and clear the screen manually with towels. But other than that, it generally worked fine at least, with no real issues.
At check in, (and all rather inevitably given that they knew I had taken out my own insurance and going by past reviews), the agent went directly to the windscreen and held a piece of white paper inside to highlight to me a 1mm chip in the windscreen glass. I see from previous reviews this is not an uncommon occurrence. He then insisted I fill out an incident report, including a signed disclaimer that this had occurred during my use, which I of course could not agree to. I had been the sole driver and there had been no impacts to the glass during my holiday. The agent charged my credit card just under 650 Euros for this damage, ostensibly to replace the windscreen, so he claimed. I asked if he would be providing evidence of windscreen replacement / invoice after completion to help with my insurance claim, he replied that RC would not be doing this "due to their policy" which is all rather suspect and makes you wonder if anything they charge for ever actually gets rectified or if it's just an extra income stream. I'm sure that this chip was there all along, and I am convinced that no replacement will happen. No doubt the next renter will be stung for the exact same chip if he doesn't spot it.
As stated, I had taken a video and photos at check out, but no inspection / videoing / photographs by the customer in the full sun glare will pick up these kind of tiny blemishes, especially if you don't know the paper trick, so to be sure of avoiding these tactics, I'd suggest you simply go elsewhere.
I should have checked Right Car's reviews before I hired. Going by the majority of experiences they'll clearly do everything possible to punish you and cash in for having your own insurance by finding a small existing fault at check in, a fault that was likely already there and you'll need to be a professional vehicle valeter and photographer to spot and document it. Pay cheap, pay twice as they say. I'll get the money back through my insurance, but the admin faff is a headache and I'm out of pocket for some months while they sort it out.
Confusingly, only one hour after my card was charged the 650 Euros for damages, I received an email from RC stating that the car had been returned with NO damages, and thanking me for my custom. Eh?
I'll be sticking to Hertz next time.
Customer Feedback for Right Cars Vehicle Rental
I recently booked a car through Right Cars via Expedia, and frankly, it was an appalling experience. Despite purchasing insurance directly through Expedia, the staff at the rental facility aggressively pushed their own coverage—insisting I pay for an additional package that was entirely redundant. I repeatedly explained I was already covered, yet they continued their hard-sell tactics with zero regard for the situation.
This happened at midnight, with my exhausted family and two young children in tow. The lack of professionalism and empathy was staggering. It felt less like a car rental and more like a shakedown.
I will never book with Right Cars again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before subjecting themselves to this kind of treatment.
I booked the car from Right Cars via…
I booked the car from Right Cars via Economybookings.com. I was at the Adnan Menderes Airport on time as planned. I called the phone number stated in the voucher (Right Cars-Turkiye-Izmir). I called them 10 times. Their phone was turned off. It was not reachable. Meanwhile, nobody from this company called me. At the end, I had to take a taxi to reach my destination. I paid 1550 TL (around 28 GBP) to the taxi. I called the Right Cars in the morning. Finally, someone answered the phone. They said that they cancelled my reservation because I did not collect the car. They did not help me at all even though I called them and sent an email several times. Basically, I lost almost 200 Euros. I recommend you not to book anything via this company.
Only putting 1 star because there’s no…
Only putting 1 star because there’s no 0 star option It’s a low key scam! We waited for their shuttle for more than an hour! Called 8x no answer and on the 9th time someone answered I asked where the shuttle they said they can send one out if I want to in 16 minutes so I decided to just cancel since I already waited so long and who knows if they will ever come the guy on the line told me they will cancel and just call expedia for refund. Fast forward 24 hrs later expedia said the rental company said they can’t refund. So yes they took our money and we didn’t have a rental! Do not waste your time it’s a bait! Very bad service
