No communication & no deposit refund

I had a very frustrating experience with Right Cars in Antalya. After returning the car in good condition and on time, I’ve been waiting for weeks to receive my deposit refund (RC2089365IW). Despite multiple attempts to contact them via email and phone, I haven’t received a single response. The phone number provided either goes unanswered or is out of service.

A company’s professionalism is reflected not only in the rental process but also in how they handle post-rental matters. Unfortunately, Right Cars has completely failed in this regard. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when renting from this company, especially if you’re relying on getting your deposit back promptly.

Avoid them

Totally trouble, they didn't send car to the airport till we found a local person to contact them, after arriving to their office at midnight they told us that they will take deposit not hold it and when I complained, they said you can cancel it, at the mid night middle of nowhere.
When I got into the car I found the fuel guage is near red zone but they said you can return with same amount, you imagine at midnight in new country you need to go to the petrol station first.
more than 3 weeks after returning the car and trying to contact them in different ways but no response, today I claimed via my credit card.

Great company

The company were great . We waited 10 minutes at the airport , transfer to their office was quick and collecting the car was simple . Paperwork was explained and easy to complete . Our car was modern and clean and drove really well all week. The price was amazing for the week . Would definitely recommend

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid at all costs charged extra for a deposit and stated it was just a secure payment and would be returned straight away. Payment was taken out of my account an 3 months later still waiting refund. Called numerous times now they ignore emails and calls

Right Cars Antalya - THIEVES!!

Hired a car that was supposed to be at the airport on arrival - IT WASN'T!!
Eventually got picked up and taken to the office. Had to pay a £790 deposit for an already dented car. Returned the car with no more damage at all which was agreed by the staff. They will not give my deposit back and are ignoring my requests. I contacted my card provider who have returned it. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!!!

All rental documentation is completed at the branch itself. Customers are collected from the airport and transported to the branch, where the rental agreements are finalised.

excessive fees

Arrived late, due to flight delay, they charged an out of hours fee. Up selling of car insurance an absolute rip off.

staff are thoroughly trained and are required to explain all available insurance options to every customer as part of the standard rental process.
With regards to insurance our agents intention is not to apply pressure, but simply to inform customers of the choices available. We apologise if this came across differently during your experience.

Don't go there!
It took them ages to give us a car.
And then they tried real hard to force an insurance on us.
And then we had to take many many photoes because the car was so ruined.

And then one of the lights didn't work!
And we had to start all over again!

Please be advised that all rental companies, including ours, are expected to conduct a walk-around inspection with the renter at both the beginning and end of the rental period. Based on the details in your email, it appears this procedure was followed.

As these are rental vehicles, minor dents or scratches may be present. However, such imperfections do not affect the vehicle’s mechanical performance. That said, we do expect all vehicles to be delivered in a clean condition and in good working order.

This inspection process is not solely for the benefit of the company it is in place to protect our customers. It provides an opportunity for renters to identify and document any pre-existing damage to avoid disputes upon return.

With regards to insurance, we are sorry to hear that you felt pressured to purchase insurance. Please rest assured that our staff are trained to clearly explain all available insurance options to each customer as part of the standard rental procedure. The intent is to inform, not to pressure. We apologise if this was not your experience.

BEWARE - Chania Airport, Crete

BEWARE! Do not use this company if you will be picking up the car after sunset. The carpark is in pitch black and you are expected to take photos of every single imperfection on the car to prove the condition it is given to you in. We attempted to do this with the help of our phone flashlight but obviously this is quite challenging. Inevitably we missed some small scuffs on the black bumper (or the damage didn't show up in the photo), and we were then charged the outrageous sum of €655 when we returned the car.

They claim to thoroughly inspect the cars but their own logbook doesn't show damage that we took note of, so they can not categorically say that those scuffs weren't there before we took possession of the car because they obviously have no clue.

In my opinion they are predatory and just looking to scam money out of people. We absolutely did not cause damage to the car, and our only hope now is that the insurance pays out. What a rubbish end to our holiday.

Disgraceful

Disgraceful, untrustworthy service from Right Cars Chania.

We picked our car up at 21:20, we were taken to a poorly lit carpark where the car was parked and told to take videos and photos of the car with no lighting assistance. When complaining about this after being charged for damages I was told "we usually drive the car to outside of the office where there are some spot lights"

Great, thanks.

Despite spotting several pieces of damage on the car that were not in the initial report, we missed two scuffs on the black bumpers which were obviously missed by us due to EXTREMELY poor lighting. The moment we arrived back at 11am they did a 2 minutes inspection and went straight for the small scuffs on the bumpers.

They still haven't spotted the other damages on the car so I'm assuming someone is going to get stung for that later down the line.

If the inspection is so poor that they missed damages that we found in the dark carpark when we were returned the car in the middle of a sunny day, how can you trust that those bumped scuffs were not also there? You can't, and neither can they.

Rightcars Chania are ripping people off and are to be avoided.

Make sure you get insurance.

Scammers!!

Scammers!!! Very rude staff!!! Damaged vehicles that never get repaired and each new dent is paid for by the drivers, on average £460. Both ways you’re screwed: you pay additional insurance or you’ll pay £460 for any new scratch…. they just cover up old dents with blotched jobs which fail and you pay then!!! Stay away!! We contacted the tourist police now

Charge for damage that you didn't cause.

Location was Heraklion Airport, Crete.
Absolute rip-off company.
Like others gave said, they try and force you to take our their insurance, even though we paid extra at the time of booking with CarJet.
When we returned the car they did a cursory look around the outside before homing in on the valance under the front bumper.
A few scuff marks were shown to me and they said that I did it, which I refuted.
I asked for the pictures that they had on file for prior to the collection but they refused.
Ended up costing €330.
100% a SCAM company.
DO NOT USE THEM, you have been warned.
CarJet needs to remove them.

FYI.
It was a white Skoda with the registration PEP 9359

Avoid this company at all costs !!! We hired a car in April, we returned the car and it was accepted as all ok (have this on video). They have kept our deposit. Its past the 28 days they say they will return the money in and they are now ignoring all my communication.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! As many previous customers warn! They are total scammers, we arrived as a big family on a summer holiday requiring a big car, and should have been alarmed at the argument going on in the background with a previous customer as we did our initial greet. We did not damage the car in the slightest, upon return of the vehicle the woman had a vague look around the car and then went straight to where she knew we wouldn’t have taken images of previous damage. Which was under the back bumper. They argued to death, they pull out all the stops and they have all the t’s and c’s in place to nail you. They are scammers and snakes, they will somehow try and force you to pay so do not use this company.
