Car was fine but they took a large payment saying it was a deposit and then stopped answering emails and wouldn't give it back. I was able to get it back from my CC provider a few months later, but this is their standard practice. AVOID

Criminal Enterprise!!! Avoid at all cost!

A bunch of Criminals!!

I rented a car from the Antalya branch. I got them through Carjets platform. It has been over 40 business days and they have not returned my deposit of over £1000.

They were supposed to have placed a hold/block for the amount on the card but unknown to me they made a full deduction. It is now clear that their business model is to keep the deposit amounts in the hope that victims will either give up pursuit in frustration or the credit card company will write it off.

Do not give up if you are in the same position as i am. They cannot be allowed to get away with this. They use the same tactics across multiple locations across the world.

The intermediary platforms should also not be spared. Carjet will be hearing from me and you should also do same for yours. They need to be held responsible for vetting the companies they allow on their platforms. Otherwise they are equally facilitating criminal activity.

Do not use Right car ever!

Got better offer than expected

Got better offer than expected, new vw golf 8, manual, petrol. Nice car, good fuel consumption -on average 4,2L/100km and its not hybrid car :) clean inside and outside. Especially big Hvala for very nice service !

Dont want to return your deposit!

I have been trying to get in touch with this company for 4 weeks to return my deposit of a thousand+ pounds.

Got car through carjet who keep telling me they have contacted Rightcars and awaiting a response. Complete scam and now having to go through my credit card company.

Very poor

I would’ve put zero stars if that was…

I would’ve put zero stars if that was an option. They refused to rent us a car after we had already booked online because we didn’t want to purchase their ridiculous extra insurance which would’ve cost us more than if we just went to Hertz or budget. After we informed them, we had our own insurance they still refused to rent the vehicle to us. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service.

Please be aware that if a customer is using their own insurance, then the proof of insurance shown must be valid for a minimum of 45 days in order for it to be accepted. Any insurance from outside of the USA will not be accepted. Also the branch require insurance to have a minimum of SLI coverage of 500,000.00 USD if not the customer must purchase SLI Insurance to be covered to a value of 500.000,00 USD at the counter.

Responsive and Smooth Process - RC Chania

The process of booking and picking up my rental was straight forward. They also made it clear where not to go with the car… some attractions in Crete being off road. Biggest reason for my 5* is they were very responsive to my enquiries. I will be booking through them again. Ioulios and the branch manager in Chania were super helpful!

Fraud !!

Fraud !!! Horror !!! I didn't get my deposit of 40,000 Turkish liras (approx. €940), I took the car on 14.4.25. and returned it on 20.4.25. I used the car a little and maybe made a total of about 120 km, I returned it properly. In addition to basic insurance and car rental, I paid for additional full insurance which cost twice as much as the rental and insurance. When I arrived, I was greeted by a terribly dirty car which they then exchanged for a lower class car which was on reserve and I with kids barely made it to the hotel and of course they didn't refund it. But that wasn't that big of a problem for me, the problem is that they apparently stole €940 from me, they don't respond to emails and WhatsApp messages. I can't believe that Raight cars operates like that, they are in many countries, in mine they operate normally and as far as I hear there are no problems. I will report them to the police, sue and report this scam in as many countries where they operate. I think they are not alone in this, they are working together with the headquarters and other related companies, we will try very hard to find out who they are, sue them and publish all their names.

Thank you for your feedback, I have checked your booking against reservation number RC2091898IW the name of the main driver is not Zara Zadar and the customer did not purchase extra insurance at the branch. Please be aware the full local insurance would reduce the deposit amount drastically and therefore a 940 Euro deposit would not have been required if full local insurance had been purchased..
The customer for RC2091898IW has since had their deposit returned. I am wondering if you are writing this reveiw for someone else or if the reservation number you provided is incorrect. Should you wish to discuss this matter further please speak to customercare@right-cars.com

Conned by Right Cars

Turned up at about 11.00pm to get car. Staff were drinking beer, and offered us one. We turned them down as we were driving. No mention of things not to do. However we know them. Took photos of car but did not get underneath car to check out underside. I have never done this, now I know you should. But pretty hard to do in the dark. On returning car a lady started the usual checks. We have had 3 previous cars from them. However this time it took ages and every inch of the car was checked with a fine toothcomb. At one point she went into the office and said "I cant get a good enough look due to the sun". She then came back out and re-started. She found what she said was a Scratch on the front bumper. We could not see one and eventually they agreed it was not there. She then went under the bumper to find some small damage marks. They claim they took photos before we took it and showed us a photo of the bumper. We asked to see the date registered on the photo, but they refused. We asked if they had photos of the car back seat that had salt stains on. We found these the morning after we hired it. Right Cars have a strict policy that you cannot stain the seats this way. She replied this was irrelevant. All the way through they kept telling us we have no problems we can claim through our excess insurers. I am positive they are using this method now to make money from people that do not take their insurance out. They deducted £450 for the damage from our deposit. Looking at other reviews it confirms our suspicion. Be aware even if you take out full expensive insurance with several of the Greek car rental companies, they have a clause that it does not cover underneath the cars. I will be telling the excess company that I think a Con is going on. This might not help my claim but it is shocking how they are treating people. Ruins their whole holiday. What kind of people are Right Cars?

I am 69 years old and do not get down underneath cars and take pictures or check for damage. Especially in the Dark after long flights. You claim the car had no damage underneath when we took it, but refuse to show dated photo,s showing no damage at this time. You also refuse to coment about all the other people that you have taken money from for the same reason in the last 2 months. It apears that these are all people that have taken out external insurance.

Right car rental are scammers

Right car rental are scammers. They tried to sell us and other customers very expensive extra insurances, which we did not do. When returning the car they looked for a tiny scratch on the bottom of the car (!) for which they charged almost €400 euro fine. We had to pay otherwise they would call the police and we had to get to the plane on time. They were very rude. NEVER rent a car from Right. They are criminals.

When doing the inspection agents will encourage customers to take photographs of any pre-existing damage, please note that this is for the customers own protection and helps prevent any misunderstandings or disputes when the vehicle is returned. AVOID

AVOID! Absolute scammers.
When we collected they were very threatening pushy to sell the extra insurance that doubles the cost of the rental. We declined this and paid a large deposit of €1480 instead.
We videoed the entire car inside and out comparing damage to the photos they gave. All fine or so we thought. Upon returning the car they quickly walked round and then pointed to damage tucked underneath the bumper. This area was not in any of the photos they had given or we had checked as it was tucked underneath the car. We know we did not cause this damage. They argued, became threatening and aggressive to the point we were going to miss our flight so had to pay a huge bill to leave. Numerous reviews on the site show this a common con.

Beware: scammers!!

They are scammers. Rented via Carjet.com, I got the full insurance package. But the lady at Right cars started pushing agressively for their insurance, which ofcourse I declined. At drop off, she really tried to find anything and came with some scratches on the bottom of the bumper. For 3 of these almost imperceptible scratches we had to pay 885€. We had to catch our flight, and they started to delay everything. What can you do? I hope this rental company will be cancelled by the major websites like Carjet.com.
Right cars will reply with standard procedures protocol, but it is all a lie. They scam you into scratches unnoticible and charge you 75€ administration cost and 270€ per tiny scratch. This is their business model, cheap rental prices on Carjet.com and at returning the car they screw you over. AVOID them at all costs!

Customers are always presented with clear options at the time of pick-up. The branch follow a standard procedure, if a customer chooses to purchase insurance from us, it is entirely their decision we do not upsell insurance as there is no incentive to do so.

At the beginning of each rental, a vehicle inspection is carried out jointly by the customer and the rental agent. If the customer has any concerns about the condition of the vehicle being offered, this is the appropriate time to raise them and request an alternative, if necessary.
Agents encourage all customers to take photographs of any pre-existing damage during the inspection. This is for the customers own protection and helps prevent any misunderstandings or disputes when the vehicle is returned.

Easy and good experience

Easy and good experience. Cheapest rate I found. Just make sure to read the pick up instructions, and make sure to have your personal insurance card with you for verification. The employee that helped me at check in was very nice, friendly and patient (thank you). He was great!

Awful

Turned up to turkey late at night with a 6 month old baby and they was no where to be seen. I had a baby stranded at the airport with me. Awful experience. I've tried to ring the company no answer. I'm trying to message for a refund no reply . Never use its a scam!!! I wouldn't be that bothered if it was me alone but I had two children under 5 awful service never again

It's worst car company I have ever…

It's worst car company I have ever seen,
First they will force you to insurance that is more than double expensive car rental fee for the week, when I agreed the insurance I paid 230 euro for only insurance for one week, when we signed all papers they bring broken car, when I noticed I told them the car is broken they said we will fix, they took the car out about 10 minutes, came back without fixing, I ask them to change the car they said we don't have a car. I left and they refused to refund my money without a car.
