Services of Matt Smith

With regard to the services of Matt Smith, Consultant Solicitor for Litigation. Our family retained Matt Smith’s services when our brother died intestate and a claim was made against his estate under the 1975 inheritance law. It was a very difficult time for our family but Matt kept us informed of any progress and setbacks in a timely manner. Matt was knowledgeable about the mediation process. He listened to us and responded to our concerns. The whole process seemed to take an eternity but Matt was patient and got us to the finish line with a satisfactory outcome.

I would like to convey my thanks to…

I would like to convey my thanks to Matt Smith at Rollasons. Where do I start, Matt was the epitome of professionalism. He combined this with being empathetic and friendly, which is not easy to find in one person. I could not have asked for a better service and I would think he is a tremendous asset to Rollasons.
I would also like to offer my thanks to James Poole, the barrister that acted for me on Matt's instruction.
In all honesty I couldn't have asked for anything more. The work combination between Matt and James was superb and evident.
I would always in the future recommend them to family and friends. To me, they were worth their weight in gold.

House purchase

Rebecca and Jayne have been fantastic during our house purchase process. Can’t fault the communication, they kept us up to date throughout and were available to answer any queries we had. It was a long process but they both did everything in our best interest.

Amazing service

Both Lisa and Rebecca were really great, they guided me through every step of my remortgage and talked it through over the phone when it got complicated. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I trust Peter Rollason and so am not surprised that his firm is so efficient and cost effective.

Very impressive

Rollason's in Lutterworth were very good as conveyancers. I found them experienced, unflappable, professional and personable. Very good communicators.

Very efficient and got the job done.

Very efficient and got the job done in time and now we are moving into our home this weekend. I cant fault Rollasons, we got a quite quickly and everything that was needed was done. Jane contacted me whenever anything was needed to be done in good time. I was new to this so they made it as less painful as possible and didn't drag on the time.

Residential conveyancing

Have known Peter Rollason for over 10 years in both a business and personal capacity, with the practice previously handling two conveyancing transactions for a family member.
They were the natural choice then for my retirement house purchase and sale , incredibly well handled by Emma Bateman from their Lutterworth office. Emma was extremely professional , friendly , efficient and patient when faced with other challenging solicitors and parties in our chain, always keeping us fully informed.
Can thoroughly recommend them and will certainly be using them again in the future when family needs arise.

Unresponsive and inattentive

A will is an important document for the wellbeing of those who remain after us.

I regret having my will drawn up at the Leamington branch a decade ago, as they have been unresponsive and unable to provide an appointment after 2-months of chasing, to make an amendment to the will.

Steer clear of Rollasons

I instructed Rollasons regarding an estate of a deceased relative. Their property needed to be transferred first into the name of 2 beneficiaries then into a company name. They said this required 2 steps therefore quoted for such complexity. Between August 23 and February 24. I had to constantly push for progress and was consistently ignored when I pressed for information. Lauren Quinn was the solicitor acting on my behalf. I also escalated to Kam Vara, this resulting in me being ignored by him. Eventually they said they wouldn’t progress the matter as without question or due diligence, Rollasons accused us of money laundering. An accusation obviously wrong and easily checked if they had bothered. This was clearly an excuse for incompetence.
I found a new solicitor who did the conveyancing in one step, 8 weeks and for less than half the cost.
I did consider using their complaints procedure before passing the matter over to the the law society but decided, what’s the point.
I’d recommend not using Rollasons full stop.

Dear Mr & Mrs Mann

Whilst we do not wish to divulge information pertaining to your transactions on this forum, the reasons we were unable to act on your behalf were set out in our correspondence to you dated February. We are however pleased that you were able to find a solicitor that could take this on and complete on your behalf.

Commercial Lease

Commercial Lease. Missed one signature off. Missed the dates off. Left me with a totally useless unenforceable contract. Followed their complaints procedure, which consisted of an initial acknowledgement & a refusal to engage in any further discussion. Cost me a lot of money when I came to enforce the lease, as Sheriffs Office advised it was totally worthless. Totally incompetent company that fails to take responsibility for their shoddy work. You want it doing properly? Go somewhere else.

Conveyancing Services

We recently appointed Rollasons to carry out conveyancing services for the sale of my late mother's house. We found Emma to be really efficient and the whole process was carried out with minimal input required from us. We were also kept updated with progress all the way through. There were no surprise charges and all were as set out when we engaged Rollasons. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rollasons.
