Booking was very easy, great site! The support team responded within 20 mins to a small issue I had with confirmation email, with clear advice and links to a portal which solved my problem immediately. Very impressed with speed and clarity and the ease of use of the service in total- fabulous!

This stupid site is so freaking bad. The information regarding Italy is all fcked up. The taxi trips from Sorrento to Praiano and from Praiano to Ravello took 3 times as long and cost twice as much and 5 times more than listed on the Rome2Rio website respectively. Seriously, 5 TIMES MORE than listen on Rome2Rio website, what use is the info then?
DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE, Ask locals or do a google search.

Uhhh taxi drivers may change prices during peak season yeah? Who could ever have imagined that… how difficult is it to just have a price for off season and one for peak? Or a price range? Honestly how incompetent are you?

The problem is they sold me a train ticket for a train in Spain (via RENFE) for the wrong date. I started my search entering the correct date of my trip - I am pretty sure - now only to find out that they sold me a ticket the same date of purchase.
I find the checkout experience very poor. Why are they not highlighting in BOLD the date of your ticket and ask you to Review carefully. In their search and checkout process seems to be a function that resets the date of the ticket I suspect. Yes, it was my fault but I feel they didn't do anything to help me or prevent these kind of mistakes.
I found out literally at the train station that they sold me a ticket for the wrong date and had to repurchase it. Luckily I managed to get on my train.
Poor experience and poor quality checkout. Also follow-up emails and travel reminders are missing.
Conclusion. Do not just trust them, double check several times.

It’s a shame that Rome to Rio is patterning with scammers such OMIO and AML. They stole my money, ruin my trip and other reservations selling a fake ferry ticket which you can’t ever retrieve SHAME SHAME!!!

I am an independent traveler and I have used Rome2Rio many times. While attempting to book bus and train for a segment of a trip in Turkey, I used their site. It wouldn't allow me to book any of the shown transportation. I then emailed R2R customer service. Marissa patiently and thoroughly explained how, since their site is not offering these tockets at this time, I can book directly with the carriers (screen shots provided detailed directions). My travel to Langely was a trip to remember, the crew was very informative, courteous, and on time, announcing every stop area which allowed for passenger planning. His speed was safe and his attitude towards other road users was cordial. I recommend this site for all your BC intercity travel.

Suggesting long ways to get somewhere!!
Sometimes this website is good but then it suggests the worst ways to get somewhere! For example I was researching how to get to Italy from Avignon via Marseille. Instead of suggesting the train from Avignon Central to Vitrolles (Aeroport Marseille Provence) it suggests Avignon TGV to Aix TGV then a bus to Marseille Airport. So frustrating as I've taken this train a number of times there. Once you get off the train there is even a shuttle down to the airport. It's just lucky I spend so much time in Avignon that I know you take this way to Marseille airport if you're not driving!

Pay double for a ticket
If you want to pay double for a ticket, this is the right place for you. I wanted to book a round trip ticket from Barcelona to Lisbon. Over $600. I later found better times and airlines on Booking.com for $322. I chatted with Rio to Rome to return my money and they refused, though not even two hours had passed.

Shady or not responsible for partner's malfunctioning website
I tried a minimum of 3 times to make a booking through you to Gotogate. Each time, the web site said I had to start over, which I did. As I was going through reentering to data for the third or fourth time, the information was already there: names etc. So, I clicked accept the prompts and finally was able to book. The gotogate, at some point, changed the return flight time to early morning. Everything else was the same. I went in to their website and clicked on current booking, entered the information (booking # T3VU2B) and was told there was no booking. When I tried "NO BOOKING" I got a number to call and was told there was a booking, but with the wrong return time. It looks like they not only have web site problems, but missing record issues. It is highly suspicious and unprofessional. It is also apparent that I have trusted you and lost $341.50. There should be enough ways to earn a profit than this. Pamela Novak

I am not sure when this happened, but there was a time when I would not travel anywhere without looking at rome2rio (40+ countries), but in the past 2 or so years the quality of the information provided has decreased significantly. I can no longer assume that the information provided is the best and/or only way to get from point A to B. It is ok to get a general sense of travel options, but you now need to search in several sites to make sure what your options are.

Is R2R spyware
While the app shows promise in function, I was surprised to find that each time I opened expedia after using R2R, expedia always appears with a R2R header. Reddit shows others with similar experiences. Feels like a spyware that now makes me nervous to use either site.
