Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! Talked to the manager regarding my new Electrolux washer and dryer purchased Oct. 2023. Machine is ripping my clothes apart. We purchased the extra insurance plan so we have had a tech come and tell me that there was nothing he could find wrong with the machine. Great, I thought. Well I went to Rona on Fanshawe park Rd where I purchased the machines and explained and showed pictures of my damaged clothes and sheet sets. The manager told me i was putting to much clothes in the machine! I'm 62 years old. I know how to do laundry! Then when I challenged him on it and that I only put my sheet set in and pillow cases, he said that was too much. Lol. I once again said I don't thi k so, he threw his hands in the air and walked away! What kind of a manager walks away from a customer who spent $3300.00 on a washing machine set!!! What a child. Obviously he has NO customer service skills what so ever. Mr. A. Wolf needs some training!!! Juan in appliances was as surprised as I was. And Mr. Wolf left us standing there. Juan thanks for trying. Mr.Wolf get some training and some manners. Poor, poor customer service!!! Hopefully the insurance and Electrolux can solve this.

We visited the the Rona+ store in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. The items on the shelves are full of dust, had to ask an associate to clean off. The female washroom was disgusting, appears it wasn't cleaned from the day before. When talking to an associate, they mentioned management is terrible, there were alot of issues. We won't be shopping there in the future
Whenever Rona says almost everything…misleading
Whenever Rona says almost everything 60% off. It is misleading and false advertising because there is almost nothing Sixty percent off is more accurate.
RONA's Online shopping sub par experience.
Ordered online some smart door sensors a week ago Jan 11,2024 on the RONA website . Everything went real smooth specially when they charged to my CC. Order placed, confirmation, CC charged now just wait for the items to arrive. To be fair the package arrive a day earlier that expected but that was it!!. The items came wrong no what was ordered. One item box was a open box or a previous return, seal broken , cardboard box all smushed the other one covered in dust like it was in the shelves for months just collecting dirt. Contacted RONA customer service and the typical premade message. advising to reach the closest store and return the items. No acknowledgement of their mistake, zero attempt to correct the issue providing a replacement or an alternative. Just return the items , wait for your refund and I guess if I need the items again , redo the whole online shopping. I replied by email waiting for their response but RONA's sub par customer service never try to do the right thing and look after their customer base. Their poor response just aggravated my experience with them. They loss me as a customer, glad still other options out there who truly cares about their customer. Now that LOWES is part of RONA expect more of the same with them.
I was at the Rona on Garrard in Whitby…
I was at the Rona on Garrard in Whitby today, I went for a minor purchase, of register covers. It is not the Rona I would normally shop at, so of course the store lay out threw me for a loop, but it was basically empty of customers, so I figured if I needed assistance it would be an easy task. First off, I walked by numerous employees and not one greeted me, I found a young man behind a desk, and he pointed me in the right direction. Getting to the section, no one at all seemed interested in an interaction , an employee walked right by me and did not ask if I needed help. The sale prices were not on shelving, I had to go to the site, to look up the price of the one on sale that I was looking for. To sum things up - Not one single employee upon entering, walking through and searching for a product engaged whatsoever in making me feel welcome in their store, as well having to pull up the site to search for the sale prices, because someone didn’t bother to post prices was truly unbelievable to me. I can say the self serve cashier was friendly, and even checked me out.
They're online ordering system is the…
They're online ordering system is the worst I have ever seen. I ordered a yeti 500 X battery bag which will allow me to carry my lithium battery. It's a case they're online ordering system you follow all the prompts everything works but doesn't send you that it's actually been ordered it just stays in their system. It doesn't say congratulations. You've ordered or anything like that so you click the button one more time and it ordered it twice, you called them nobody answers the phone you can't cancel your order online because the people who built the website or just that stupid to realize wow let's cancel so in order that I ordered before ships now the order has shipped on Purolator now I have received the order I have to drive to Rona return it in turn this company just lost their Purolator fee and they got to take back a package that they don't sell them the stores so now there's lots of bureaucracy going on with this package. This company should probably get out of business with online orders because I've never seen an online ordering system such a piece of Sh... in my life and probably go to Amazon where company is actually taking over because of their competency as a company and software builder obviously Rona with all their money couldn't build a toilet with their web development service so shame on Rona for building such a piece of crap where you can't physically cancel your order you have to call somebody and they don't answer the phone and then finally when they do answer the phone which is an hour plus later they can't do nothing and they tell you you gotta call a store to cancel it's unbelievable they deserve to be a bankrupt company the faster we can get rid of Rona in Canada the better off we're going to be let Home Depot and Lowe's run the show the Canadian Company is too stupid to do it.
Vancouver Rona Grandview location…
Vancouver Rona Grandview location closing due to poor sales
I visited Grandview Rona the afternoon of Dec. 7, 2023 to buy metric bolts for mounting my TV. As another reviewer mentioned, very few staff are working at this location, and so I felt lucky after finding the fasteners section by myself within 5 minutes of entering the store.
Then came a bigger challenge: finding the right size metric bolts within that section. After about 10 minutes of searching, I found some which fit my TV, but they didn't have heads I could tighten with my screwdriver. I wanted to ask someone familiar with that section if there were other metric fasteners I hadn't noticed, but I didn't see anyone in the department, so I asked a (rare) passing worker if they could help me.
They tried their best, but we didn't find any metric bold I hadn't already seen. I asked them if this store is always short-staffed, and they said yes, and that, like Lowe's/Rona in Queensborough, Grandview Rona would also be permanently closing due to poor sales.
I said that I also shop at Home Depot in Vancouver and Burnaby, and that they appear to be doing well based on their stores being at least partially full of customers. They replied Home Depot is more successful at keeping customers because they employ enough people to help customers, unlike Rona/ Lowe's.
They added, "Home Depot pays their staff better, and does not continually reduce employee hours, forcing experienced workers to quit and be replaced by new, often inexperienced ones unable to help customers find what they need. The way Rona operates its business doesn't make sense, not for employees or customers or even for the owners, because how can you stay in business for long when you are doing so many things wrong?"
They processed an online order and then wouldn't honour it
Placed an online order during a sale event. Order showed on credit card statement but didn't complete. Called customer service to figure out what was going on and was told that since the sale was now over for that item they would not honour the sale price and not to worry about the credit card charge, it should disappear in a week or two.
Rona mix represented product
Rona sold us latches that were listed 5 per pack.
We purchased them and paid for shipping.
There was only one latch in each package.
Rona customer service admitted their mistake and said they would ship the balance.
Then we recieved an email stating that we will not get new parts or our funds and shipping cost returned.
Rona flat out ripped us off and left us with no remedy.
Shame on you Rona.

Rona bad customer service
Great quality product.
Nothing against the product, not trying to be defamatory or hateful, i'm just sharing my experience. I went to buy my product at R O N A, it was supposed to be available, in stock. Talked with a clerk that referred me to an other clerk that never showed up. After 15 minutes of waiting i went home and ordered it online.
Rona won’t allow my review on their website. It seems that only good experience can be shared. What a shame
Outstanding Assistance
Had outstanding assistance in Seasonal from John at Rona+ in Belleville this week. He was both courteous and helpful. He went to storage to get our item and brought it out on a dolly. While we were attempting to load the box into the car with a staff member John showed up with an additional staff member to help us. Since the box wouldn't fit they quickly removed the individual pieces and put them in the trunk. As seniors we really appreciated this service. Thank you Rona+ and your staff!
great service
Each time lately I have purchased supplies at Rona, Williams Lake store, I have received excellent service. Also I have received OUTSTANDING service from Byron (BM) in the outdoor service yard. He is prompt, helpful with excellent service skills. Kudos to Byron
False advertising …
False advertising is what I can say about RONA. I recently bought a Keter Oakland 757 shed from RONA as advertised for $ 899.50 . I ordered on line and was indicated on line that there were 2 in stock at the Hunt Club location in Ottawa. I ordered and paid for the shed and recieved my receipt. No more than 1 hour later a representative from the store called me to tell me there was no stock. I then went on the Lowe's site (RONA ownes Lowe's) and they had stock but Lowe's price was 1,499 $.
This is bordering on fraud.
Too many negative things to put in one title.
Out of a possible 5 star rating, the North Vancouver Rona only rates one star:
No available lumber carts - all of them seemed to have stock on them scattered around the store.
Ladies washroom smelled like raw sewage, absolutely disgusting.
This one is worth a loss of 2 stars: Young male staff member with long dark hair working the Pro service desk on Sept. 14th at ~11:00 am was absolutely useless - I asked for help finding a lumber cart. He told me they were in the lumber yard, which there were none. He then said customers leave them around so basically telling us to walk around the store or parking lot until you find one. No offer to help. Also overheard him saying to another staff member a while later that there will most likely be a complaint filed, then they laughed it off so his customer service skills are none existent and he is totally unaware of people around him when he jokes about customers.
Kate in the paint area however was amazing. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly. Everything a customer would expect for a staff member in a hardware supply store. So Kate, congratulations, you get the only star, keep up the good work!
While Kate did everything right we will NOT be spending any more of our project money at this Rona.
Worst online experience ever
Worst online experience ever. First, they cancel my order one week after my purchase because the billing address according to their system isn’t correct. After checking the billing address, it was correct. Placed the order again with my personal credit card and still the same outcome. When trying to speak with their customer service, they can’t figure out what’s going on and I spent hours on the phone to end up without any products…
Don’t place online orders with Rona. You’ll definitely regret it. I know I did…
Now I don’t have the items 2 days before my event and can’t get anything else shipped in time.
Management and Training Lacking
I have made a purchase and am now waiting for the arrival of the appliance. The staff were helpful and eager to provide me with answers to my questions. Two sales ladies and two men were involved with my purchase and payment agreement which made for a lengthy process. They were energetic and had a positive work ethic. One criticism is they appeared not fully trained and had to rely on other employees for information. One did say she was new. Both Emma and Taija went to great effort to make sure I was fully informed on the appliance's features as well as the purchase options. The purchase process did seem to take much longer than normal. This is a complaint directed at management who are responsible for training and establishing operating guidelines and procedures. It is my opinion that there has been little or no supervision or perhaps rushed training. The store as a whole could use updating and staff members clearly identified. I'm trusting my appliance arrives as described by the salesladies. If not, I'll be back with additional comments. One more comment. I was given a suggestion by the cashier to submit a 'short survey'. I entered the web address indicated on the sale chit; however, my pc would not go to the site as it was not protected. It is disturbing that Rona would encourage me to participate in a survey that my pc refused to open.
I didn’t receive what I ordered
I didn’t receive what I ordered, they sent me a pump instead of batteries for my solar lights , a pump worth $200 .I returned the item in good faith , they didn’t refund me the whole amount they charged me for the shipping when it was the shipper’s fault for sending me the wrong item . Not good service! I should have kept the pump , but I’m not that kind of person . Also they didn’t print my review lol because it doesn’t meet their guidelines.
Do not trust this corporation
Do not trust this corporation. I bought online a product (shower $3,140 +tx), the product received has a totally different appearance (much lower appearance, not matching colors, q-wall different than represented on Rona web). As recommended, I paid an expert to put it together directly from the box delivered. I called Rona customer services. First person offered me $100/$3,140. The second up completely denied from beginning of conversation that the product were different (sold vs delivered)- he had the pictures- than offer me $200 after playing almost 50 minutes a game of denying and asking me of what I needed. Their products reviews on their web is a total scam, they filter the reviews - do not trust the Rona web products reviews.
Don't depend on staff advice.....
I went to this store with a piece of eavestrough downspout to match. Asked the clerk at the Commercial order desk what size is this? 2-1/2" or 3" ? He said 3" so I ordered that. It wasn't the correct size. Of course I cannot return a special order so I'm out $40.....I should be thankful it wasn't a few hundred dollars but it still ticks me off.
Excellent review for sebastian
I damaged a piece while replacing the bathroom faucet, so I either had to rebuild the entire bathroom or just replace the damaged piece. I went to all the companies and asked all the experts in the stores to identify the damaged piece. Unfortunately, no one had the correct information. Only one person in all these companies was able to identify the part from which factory, and he is Sebastian, who works like a master engineer at Rona's plumbing installation in Pincourt.
He is very knowledgeable and at the same time patient and good-natured, and he masters all her work with great intelligence and talent. My trust in his made me buy only from Rona. Anyone who needs technical and engineering advice in installations, he has knowledge and experience like a high-ranking engineer. Hoping for more success. Sebastian 🙋♂️🥂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
