communication could be better
Sadly, even though my order was confirmed and delivery information sent, I was only made aware my order had been cancelled after receiving an email form PayPal regarding a refund. Nothing received from Harkness roses. I rang them and was advised at dispatch they weren’t happy with the quality of the plant; and there weren’t others in stock. Lack of communication has unfortunately put me off using again.
Update - thank you to the company for a quick response to my review acknowledging my frustration, it’s great that there is strong quality control and if customers are notified if their order cannot be processed you can’t ask for more than that.

Lifetime guarantee is a joke!
I purchased three standard tree roses from
Harkness in April and today I found one of the roses had developed crown gall disease. I submitted a lifetime guarantee claim on their website but the request for a replacement was refused. They said they couldn’t be sure it was crown gall disease. Shocking!! It was so obvious. I wish I could upload photos along with a screenshot of their reply email.

Excellent customer service
I looked to place an online order but the personalisation for multiple rose bushes wasn’t clear on the order details page so I called customer services. They were excellent and placed my order over the phone. I needed the order by a specific date and the confirmation email gave a delivery date the following week. So I called customer services again and they assured me it would arrive on the date I had requested and to ignore the email.
Sure enough they arrived exactly as promised.
Very happy with the rose bushes and excellent customer service.
