RouteNote is absolute garbage. The worst service in the industry.
The worst company you could possibly encounter. If you want to bury your music and waste your time—this is the place for you. Total incompetence and a complete lack of regard for artists.
My release is stuck in limbo, support is non-existent, and there is zero feedback. Technically, there is a way to contact them, but it seems like the only thing they are capable of doing in their UK office is picking their noses. They simply ignore your work, ruining all your plans and promotion strategies. If you value your work, stay away and find a reliable distributor. I have decided to move my entire catalog to DistroKid, where professionalism actually exists. Absolutely disgusting.
----
May 8: I have officially submitted my User ID (5010103) through your verification form as requested. Stop using these public replies as a marketing tool to look "helpful." My ticket has been ignored for weeks. As a software engineer with 20 years of experience and a SEO specialist, I see right through these stalling tactics. I am not looking for "further assistance" or apologies — I demand the immediate deletion of my account and the release of my UPCs. Every day of your delay is being documented across all major review platforms.
---------------
"My final conclusion is clear: there is absolutely no point in working with RouteNote, especially for newcomers. Your support is a black hole, and you hide behind 'queues' instead of fixing your broken service.
I’ve made my decision — I’m moving my entire catalog to professional distributors that actually respect artists, such as:
DistroKid (distrokid.com)
TuneCore (tunecore.com)
UnitedMasters (unitedmasters.com)
Furthermore, I reserve the right to share my negative experience and post detailed reviews of your incompetence on all major music industry forums, social media platforms (Reddit, Quora), and review sites. People need to know the truth before they waste their time and career with you.
I’m done wasting my time on your excuses. Goodbye."

Great platform for independent artists
Great platform for independent artists
I’ve released many songs through RouteNote over the years and I’m still continuing to use their service. Overall, my experience has been very positive. The platform makes music distribution simple and accessible for independent artists, especially for getting songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other major streaming platforms.
What I appreciate most is that they give independent musicians an opportunity to distribute music globally without huge upfront costs. Their dashboard is easy to use, and uploads are straightforward. I’ve successfully released multiple tracks with them, and the process has been reliable for my music career.
Customer support can sometimes take time depending on workload, but they usually provide solutions and keep improving the service. For independent artists looking for an affordable distribution platform, RouteNote is definitely worth trying.

5-star review by Natalie
Five stars for RouteNote. Natalie walked me through the requirements for my OAC step by step, including technical details about browser display. Her personal and efficient support really makes a difference in the independent industry.

Long reviews
Long reviews, never checked properly in the app, in order to see if you have been rejected you have to personally email support. Waste of time and money never use it.

YES, YES, AND ABSOLUTE YES.
I went back to making music and I still use RouteNote after 3 years have passed, this is one of the best if not THE BEST free music distributor (as I never used other one). People complain about customer service, but at my experience it has been really good and they reply as quick as they can, I hear complains about release waiting time but I don't think that's an issue, especially considering this service IS FREE.
I absolutely recommend it. The best free distributor at my point of view.

This is the Best Distribution company I…
This is the Best Distribution company I have ever used. The wait time is understandable due to their high demand because they distribute Albums, EPs and Singles for FREE. Which is very selfless and nice to do because persons can't afford payment for distribution. Routenote has made my dream of having songs on platforms come true and I am so Grateful for them.

Waiting a month and a half for a check-up for my song
The website states that releases are approved or rejected within 18 working days. I have now been waiting for 24 working days. Even though I could select to release my song on April 13th. Why is that button there if it can't be delivered? My listeners have seen promotion for absolutely nothing, because nothing is coming of it...
In the meantime, the website has changed to 26 working days. That is a month and a half... And you don't get updates on whether it will be approved at all. So in the worst case, my release will be rejected and I'll be another month and a half down the line...

Overall Great Experience
I’ve over all had a great experience with Routenote. I see a lot of people complain about response times, it can take a while to get responses from support or get your releases moderated, but Routenote is centered more so around making releasing music more accessible. They have a small team, so you can’t really expect fast response times. If you’re looking for something fast, you should probably go elsewhere. You have to consider the crazy amount of AI slop they’re having to deal with, especially since bots don’t have to risk a moderation fee or anything.
I don’t really have any problems with wait times, especially since Routenote is hands down the best free distributor out there.
I’ve found the support staff to be very helpful, especially the one called Tasha (if that’s a real name). I’ve dealt with awful service a lot, and it’s refreshing to not have to go through bots or support that just don’t have the power to escalate anything. Once you get in contact with support, things tend to move pretty quickly.

Excellent and fast support
Excellent and fast support! The RouteNote team, especially Lucy, was very helpful and professional in guiding me through the Official Artist Channel (OAC) process. My channel 'Maestro Falcão' is growing, and having this kind of support is essential for independent artists. Highly recommended!

Absolutely ludicrous waiting times
Releases over a month just in review, not even counting the following distribution time, just genuinely baffling and unheard of, AND THEN THEY REJECT IT FOR ABSOLUTELY ABSURD REASONS, pretty much useless support, and genuinely one of the worst websites I've ever used, can't upload WAV for some reason it must be MP3, and the artwork must be EXACTLY 3000x3000 px for some reason not more nor less, and the earnings are honestly really suspicious

Highly recommended
I have been using RouteNote to distribute my music for a while now, and the experience has been exceptional. Their platform is user-friendly, and the distribution process is straightforward. A special mention to their customer support team—they are incredibly helpful and always resolve queries efficiently. Highly recommended for any independent artist looking for a reliable distributor!

I strongly advise against using…
I strongly advise against using RouteNote.
The platform is painfully slow when it comes to music approvals, but that’s only part of the problem. Customer support is practically nonexistent. I currently have two open support tickets — one has been sitting there for over a month without even being opened, and the other hasn’t received any response for 5 days.
There’s clearly no control over customer service. In fact, it feels like there is no real support at all. Their AI “help” is completely useless — it has no authority and cannot assist with anything that actually matters.
If this is how things work at the very beginning, it raises serious concerns about more critical issues, especially payments. It’s hard to trust a service with your music and potential earnings when basic communication fails this badly.
Think twice before using RouteNote. You might end up dealing with delays, frustration, and a complete lack of support when you need it the most.

It's the best
It's great because It helps artist such as my self an opportunity of distribution, prices of subscription are reasonable. Website everything works fine. Just that the android app still needs upgrading but I rate it 5star
