Good coverage, please stop all the ads on player

RTÉ is a Government funded propaganda machine that needs to be defunded and fully privatised.

Bought and paid for by the government...just like in Russia.....peddling the government line on important issues

A criminal network with no sense of fairness or balance. How is it even possible in this day and age, that any 1st world countries goverment can fund and broadcast such hate towards the honerable irish citizens who are forces to fund it.

RTE News and current affairs is everything that professional journalism should not be and anyone classing themselves as a journalist should hang their heads with shame for working for them. RTE is nothing but a Leinster House propaganda outlet. Unprofessional, biased, without integrity, lacking honesty, shoddy misleading, and very far from being objective, unless the object is to spread lies and propaganda..

rte player is the absolute worst. Ads then crashes

Awful coverage of the election of the new pope. Sharon Tobin, the newscaster, thought that the cardinal making the confirmation announcement was the new pope!! And then, they had no one on hand to translate what was being said. Amateurish and most disappointing coverage.

The RTE is An insult to any independent media. A Propaganda machine with horrible unwatchable repeat programmes. The only reason they haven't gone out of business is the extortion licence fees they force people to pay.

Unbelievable I am watching the papal funeral live on CNN on sky and bbc with great commentary on all stations and RTE have a repeat of the Today show on a total insult to licence fee payers yet again after 270 million bail out,,

Government controlled, No journalist, state propaganda

Constant ads and constantly freezes on the ads and the you then have to watch the ads again. And we pay for this through tv licence why is there ads. Netflix cost around the same and no ads . Make it make sense .

If I could give the RTE Player zero stars I would. I can see ads, loads of them with no issue but the actual content I want to see is arduous to say the least. If not impossible.

Rte is clearly and openly anti semitic! They support terrorists as they refuse to recognise Hamas as a terrorist group. Rte is not democratic and are corrupted. I shouldn’t pay public money to Rte as they support terror and manipulate general irish population! Rte failed to inform public about 7 th October 2023 massacre and its horrors that normally would require a war. Rte also refused to recognise that Hamas uses kids and women’s as shield.

This review is specifically about the RTE Player - not RTE as a company.
The Player is very very frustrating to use.
The ads take ages to run - buffering endlessly.
The image quality of the actual programmes can also be hit and miss until it 'gets going'.
Disney, Netflix and Amazon all stream fine... just not the RTE Player.

A joke , that I as a tax payer have to pay twice for the repeated programmes constantly on. Another painful example of how tax payers money is wasted in this country

Shocking bad player - can’t or won’t load - have tried Netflix and Apple TV both streaming however the RTÉ player is absolute shit.
Whoever in the Player manger should look for a job!

Trying to watch Michael Lynn programme on the RTE Player. I'm seeing only the red circle ⭕ of doom.
Anytime I try to use the Player there are problems. It's 2025 please this needs massive work from RTE. I pay my license but by God do you make it difficult.
