Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the product quality, noting issues such as poor construction, unraveling edges, and a cheap feel, especially considering the price. Reviewers frequently mentioned that the rugs did not lay flat, curled up, or degraded quickly, with some experiencing issues with the non-slip grip and the durability of the rug pads. The overall sentiment regarding the product and its value for money was largely negative. However, some people were satisfied with the designs and the washable feature, finding the rugs to be as pictured and easy to clean. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that customer service was unhelpful, citing difficulties in communication, unaccommodating policies regarding returns and price adjustments, and a lack of responsiveness to issues like incorrect orders or misrepresented products.

Beautiful rugs but used.

Two of the rugs l received were obviously used items and even the boxes were poorly taped. Though l don’t see obvious signs of damage but full of lints and dust. l spent more than a few hundreds on the two items and knowing the items were used makes me feel my money spent is not justifiable.

Otherwise, the design of the rugs are beautiful.

Suggest: Ruggable should throughly vacuum and work on the used/returned items before selling them again.

Awful company and terrible experience

Awful company. Nobody answers their phones, there's nobody on their chat customer service, the only way to connect with anyone is through e-mail and that takes too much time going back and forth. I started trying to make my exchange on the 2nd of January, it's now the 23rd of January and I'm still going back and forth with them. Not to mention that their return/exchange is so difficult that if I was a senior citizen, there's not way I could figure out how do it. Ruggable (machine washable rugs) is a great idea, but a terribly company. I will NEVER purchase again!

Do not buy these rugs!

Do not buy these rugs!! Quality is terrible- they are paper thin, installing the rug will make you wish you spent good money on another brand and they make you PAY to return a rug you’re unsatisfied with. On top of all this, they don’t let you leave reviews on products until 50 days after your purchase. Super disappointed.

Repeat Customer Review

I got my first Ruggable in 2021 because I have sons, a couple dogs, and a husband who cannot remember to take his shoes off when he walks in the door. I have since ordered three more. As a clean freak, I consider this purchase as an investment in my sanity.

Pros: The patterns somehow hide a lot of sins anyway, but I've had blue koolaid spills that give me heart palpitations lift right up. The rug survived cranberry juice, dog puke, and a hundred other spills. The biggest claim of all, that these are washable, is verifiably true.

Cons: The edges unraveled pretty quickly, say in six months or so. It didn't diminish the quality, but did look a little haggard. I'd also say an 8x10 is too big to go in a standard washing machine, but spot cleaning generally did the trick anyway. Otherwise figure a trip to a laundry mat with more commercial machines.

Nice designs but faulty pads

Although I really like all the design choices Ruggable offers, I’m not at all confident with the customer service. My rug pad has been shedding for a few years now and it creates quite a mess. Customer service offered me 15% off if I buy a new pad from them.
If you’re on their email list you’ll know they give out the same offer every other week, haha!
No thanks, I’ll pass on that.

Love,love,love these rugs!

Love, love, love these rugs! I started acquiring them years ago when I had to throw out a favorite rug due to an accident by a geriatric dog. The problem wasn’t going away any time soon since the dog wasn’t going anywhere. So, I ordered my first two rugs. I am up to 10 rugs with two more on the way now. Being able to throw these rugs in the washer/dryer when necessary is priceless. Very pleased with the rugs!

I had to return a rug and it was…

I had to return a rug and it was initially given instructions for this, but returned it after the 30 day not realizing that it was a rule. Iw ould probably be better if they authorized a refund and gave you clear instructions about date parameters rather than just saying, return the rug at xyz address. However, I then reaced out to them because the rug was already mailed. Initially, I did not get timely emails back which made me quite nervous. Eventually, the issue was resolved and they refunded me and sent me a new rug. There was a lag in the communication which made me uncomfortable. Since the issue was resolved in the end, I was still give them 5 stars overall. I think the emails about how to return items should be a little more specific and clear about deadlines.

I love the way they look and feel

I love the way they look and feel. The bath mats are so soft and comfortable. They are easy to vacuum, haven’t washed them yet, but surface dirt is easy to clean. Can’t wait til my dining room carpet arrives.

Terrible Customer Service

After waiting several weeks for my order to be shipped to me, I received the wrong rug. Looks like I received someone else’s order. Be aware that Ruggable does not have a telephone number where you can speak to a live representative. All communications regarding issues must be done via email. I sent them an email on the day that I received the wrong order, and promptly received a response asking me to send them pictures of the rug I received which I did. It’s been several days now, and I have no response back from Ruggable on where my rug is , and when I can expect to receive the correct order. I am not at all happy with this level of service. I’m sure by not having live customer service representatives. The company is saving a lot of money while charging a premium price for their product. I will not be ordering from rug again.

High traffic durability

There is no other rug in market with this kind of washability. This is a must have with this 3 kid, high traffic, shoe wearing in the house family. We’ve had them in our home for about two years (yes the same rugs). Just ordered some new ones to change up the house. They never seem to lose their color or durability no matter how many times I wash them. One thing to watch out for is the corners. Over time, the corners “flip up” so we have to be careful to walk over them to the meat of the rugs or bend over and fold them down. Maybe something for the company to look into?

Don't Trust Ruggable

I purchased an 8x10 rug from Ruggable. The cost was 660 dollars. I read the return policy and the policy said you would get your money back if you returned it. Within days of receiving it, I tried to return it and they were only willing to give me $550 dollars plus a 25 dollar return fee. They lowered the price, I don't know the exact date, however it was too late as the rug was already in transit. I couldn't believe Ruggable did this.
Also, It is impossible to speak with a live person. You first must go through a useless chat bot, then a chat person, who doesn't answer your questions, just provides information on how to return it. So I am out 150 bucks. Writing this to prevent this from happening to you.

What an amazing product! I am thrilled with my Ruggable. Ordering more

What an amazing product! I am so happy with my Morris rug in the dining room. It looks so great. I bought the low profile one and it's perfect, because I have upholstered chairs that have wheels on the bottom so the chairs roll easily on this rug. I am frankly surprised at how much I like the rug; I thought the digitalized or not "real" / not real knots would bother me. It does not bother me, it looks fantastic. And, the fact that I can wash it is a huge bonus. I have a heavy wool traditional rug in my living room. It's very pretty, but spills are an ordeal and it is so heavy to have cleaned, etc. And it was an expensive rug. Ruggables are so affordable compared to so many rugs out there. To me it does not make sense to spend 2k-10k on a rug. We walk on rugs and they get dirty no matter what. I ordered a new ruggable for my kitchen. I have had a wool, hand knotted traditional rug there, it gets so dirty, it is gross. I have to wash it way too often and it's a project. I am very happy I will have a ruggable there going forward. I am very excited about this company. So fun to see the new rugs! Yahhhh Ruggable! 🤩

Garbage product doesn’t work

This product doesn’t actually work or fulfill its commercial promise. 1) I can’t wash my 8x10 rug in my normal-sized top-loading washing machine despite that being the entire premise. 2) They don’t send you a full rug-sized pad for the larger rugs, but two that you’re supposed to cobble together. It’s time consuming and super difficult to accomplish, especially solo - it took over two hours, which means I would be loathe to ever remove the rug from the pad to wash it (the ostensible purpose). 3) It’s not actually possible for me to vacuum my rug with my Dyson ball vacuum, as the suction immediately separates the rug out from the pad and creates bubbles. 4) The rug is of cheap quality: it’s thin and the edges constantly curl up. 5) Despite me contacting customer service two different ways (email and Facebook) I only got one answer, ever, which was a form email that didn’t address any of my concerns.
