I placed an order for the wrong colour item. I called them a couple of hours later to change it, thinking it would be an easy switch. They said the item had already shipped and couldn't be changed (despite a suggested delivery time of 5 business days). The .co.uk website leads you to believe you are ordering locally from the UK. They said to return my item (to the USA or Switzerland) I had to pay for shipping myself or use their FedEx service which they'd deduct 95GBP from my refund for. The website name is misleading, and returns too expensive as to be a reasonable option. Also, I find it hard to believe it was too late to cancel my order (a few hours after placing it). Good selection of rugs, but dubious service.

EDIT: Additionally, they had a countdown to the end of their sale the day I ordered with just a few hours left which had pressured me into ordering quickly. A couple of days after this, I went back to their website and another sale was on with a countdown timer. The rug was the same discounted price in the 'new' sale.

We have purchased through this site on several occasions and have always been pleased with the price, quality and delivery of the rugs.

Easy choice

The site is easy to navigate. There is a wide range of size and design options. I was spoilt for choice! I'm looking forward to getting my new patio rug!

THIS COMPANY IS MISLEADING CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE BASED IN THE USA AND IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT YOU MUST RETURN IT TO THE USA OR SWITZERLAND. I AM AMAZED THIS IS LEGAL. THE WEBSITE ENDING CO.UK LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE THE WAREHOUSE IS IN THE UK. Shocking.

Easy to navigate the website

I ordered a rug 2 weeks ago, paid for it online and it never arrived. UPS said the address was wrong. I supplied the correct address. I contacted rugs.co.uk and was told their 'atucorrect' was to blame. They said they'd changed the address with carrier but a week later still no rug. It has shipped from the States, not the UK. This is not a UK firm. I wouldn't have ordered from them if I'd known. They offered me a 10% discount today and an apology for the 2 week wait to receive my rug. It still hasn't arrived.

Beautiful outdoor rug. Brilliant quality, arrived fast and fantastic selection.

I haven’t bought a rug from this company but I was about to until I read the reviews.
I find it very strange that the majority of the 5 star reviews only mention the ease of using the website! Hmmmm!
All of the lower star reviews are about shoddy rugs that don’t lay flat, come from America, and cost a fortune to return. So I won’t be buying.
Thank you to all of those who bother to leave reviews.
Update: I just chatted with them online from their website: I asked if they were based in the UK and that trustpilot reviews suggested USA.
Liezl replied “we our based in the USA”
I said “are” based not “our” based
Liezl said ‘sure, thank you’
I asked ‘why pose as a UK site then? Surely that’s misleading and false advertising?’
Liezl apologised for the confusion and said that they’re not misleading the customer and that they sell globally.
I disagreed about the misleading part and that was that.

Looking for a new circular rug came across Rugs.UK, found just what we liked and made the purchase.
I believe that the rug we are replacing came from this merchant and is still in great condition and will be used elsewhere in the home!

New rug delivered 15/04/2025 and now in place, looking good, very pleased with purchase.

Ive only just ordered it so I havent received the rug yet but had lots of choice and easy to follow.

I have ordered several rugs from this company. They have always arrived promptly and reflected accurately the description on the website. Would recommend them.

DO NOT USE!

If in the UK it is not worth using this company. If you need to return an item they do not cover return costs and in fact they also do not disclose all necessary information to you such as costs and import tax BEFORE you send it and you get stung with a hefty bill. You may as well not return and I believe that is their intention.

The customer service are incredibly unhelpful, and we have now wasted a lot of money on a rug that wasn't even good quality - hence trying to return!

Go for rug companies that offer a good returns process, which we have thankfully now found!

Easy to navigate website

You site is easy to use and self explanatory
There is an extensive range available, but very easy to navigate with the use of appropriate filters

Do not use this company
I bought a rug for £109 delivered.
The rug can never lay down flat. It's absolute rubbish.
The rug comes with a how-to get your rug to lay flat on the floor.
I tried everything to no avail.

In the end I could only get half my money back or they forced me to post the rug back to Switzerland for £75.
Atrocious behaviour from this company.
Rugs.co.uk is a lie. They are not in the UK

Purchased from rugs.co.uk however they are an AMERICAN company and if you want to return anything then guess what, you'd have to return it to the USA.
Sending a rug to the USA is not cheap and basically not economically viable. They do offer a partial refund if you decide to not return.
It is not clear on their .co.uk site this is the case.
I have therefore given the rug to my local charity shop so that at least someone can maybe benefit from this mishap.
In short - returns are not practical.
