Great customer service and fast delivery.

Having had issues in the past with injuries I reached out to Run Company for advice and their support team could not have been more helpful (even when I messed up and ordered the wrong size). They responded quickly and my order #25347 arrived the next day! I will certainly be going back to these guys again for my next pair.

Deceiving business practice

I had bought items from their Brighton shop over the years and never had any problem and always wanted to support local businesses like this one especially it's advertised on ParkRun. Last Sunday (2022-06-26) bought a pair of Brooks Levitate for £111.95. Next day I brought it to shop hoping to get a full refund as after some research I figured that I need more cushioning. The pair of Brooks Levitate was in the same condition as it was when I left the shop. However, I was told flatly that there will be no full refund and only exchange or credit note is possible. I asked them why they didn’t warn me when I was making the purchase. The shop assistant just bluntly told me it's written on the receipt and on a small business plaque near the counter that no one will notice. I was shocked. The manager claimed that last time he gave someone the full refund he had to pay his company back from his own pocket! I was told it's the company policy and only the owner can authorise, and small business can't afford refunds. I wouldn't mind at all if I was told/warned before I made the purchase. This is a very deceiving business practice and the tone from the manager of the store was sounding like it was my own fault! I was told to leave my details (name, mobile & email) and they'll get back to me as soon as possible on a possible decision for a full refund from the owner of the business. So far, no attempt was made to make amend. I'm very disappointed with the shop that I've been trying to support ever since it opened in Brighton. I'll never shop there anymore. After checking their website runcompany's return section, it says it'll offer refund if you buy it online but NO refund if you buy anything in-store! My advice is that if you have such policy, advise the customer before the item is purchased. No one will check their tiny receipt in great details apart from the price or no one will read your tiny plaque hanged on the wall!

Out of stock, no refund?!

Having ordered a product shown as in stock online, I was then informed it was not available. Disappointing, but not a big problem.

Unfortunately, they made it worse by taking my money anyway and, despite their email saying it would be refunded the same day, and me chasing in the interim, I am still waiting for a refund more than a week later. Not good enough.

You are either open, or you are closed!

Went into the Chichester branch this afternoon and was asked somewhat brusquely whether I had an appointment. When I asked whether I needed one I was told I did. Then asked to come back in twenty minutes time and they would 'fit me in'. Come on guys! ... I was trying to support my local high street and you are either open, or you are closed. What about the old fashioned and more reliable method of controlling us by having us queue outside and then when we have had enough of waiting we can come back another time. How do we know we have to make an appointment to visit a high street shop? How long do you get to try on different shoes and what if the person before over stays their visit? Do you ask them to leave as their time is up? I won't be coming back.
