My experience is slightly different from others it would seem. Ordered the bell without chime and it came after about 4 weeks. Fitted it and connected it to my router fairly easily, downloaded the required app to my phone and it all "appeared" to work (of a fashion) except that I didn't always get the expected notification when someone actually rang the bell, and sometimes the bell would drop off the router so I couldn't connect to it to view the camera images or recordings, but in time I ordered the additional chime which came quickly (although it eventually turned out it needed to be plugged in within about ten feet of the bell push), and largely it all seemed t be working ok (I suppose for the money compared with the price of other similar systems). So the product did kind of work for me I suppose, and as far as material/build quality was concerned it was all pretty good.
However, recently my phone unfortunately suffered a catastrophic failure (I sat on it with it in my back pocket and broke it) so needed to download the app to a new phone, only to find now that SafeHowse appear to have fallen off the radar completely.
All in all it seemed to work ok-ish with a few frustrating glitches, but now as I can no longer download the app to my new phone it's all pretty much useless. Brilliant.

I returned a video bell to ye in March registered post and still waiting my refund. I've emailed a Hannah Williams numerous times 1st about setting it up ( faulty bell) then she told me return it and I'd be refunded but still no joy 7 months later. I've sent further emails to Hannah but no reply. Shocking service and so rude to not even reply but takes back my video bell. That's robbing people. €90 is a lot of money to be left short and that's not including the postage and packaging then sending it back registered post. Terrible customer service

Worked for a week then kept dropping connection. Was messed around by customer services, telling me it was set up wrong, not close enough to router, should be on separate 4G band blah blah blah. Did all this and they just sent back the same messages over and over again until I made a PayPal dispute. Finally got my money back. By the way, I posted back to somewhere in the UK. So the post it back to China is rubbish. My advice, don't buy. But if you have, use PayPal to get a refund. The product is next to useless. The customer service is even worse. Caused a load of unnecessary aggravation to try and con me out of my money. Thankfully they didn't! It seems that their website is closed and fb page gone. Hopefully been closed down by trading standards and serving a stretch in prison!

I'd like to give it 0 stars, a total waste of £65!! Do not recommend, do not bother buying! Such a waste of time and money!!!

Ordered a doorbell from them but couldn’t get it to work.
We contacted them several times and tried absolutely everything they suggested, even sent photo evidence. Still wouldn’t work.
As soon as we asked for a refund we were told we would have to send it back to China at our own cost and wait for a refund. Then when we said that we didn’t feel that was acceptable as it had come from a UK company and was faulty they haven’t replied. We have tried contacting them but absolutely nothing.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Total waste of money and time

I ordered a video doorbell with optional chime from this company. The video doorbell arrived after a long delay and lots of excuses from customer services and the shipment was minus the chime that I'd paid extra for. Despite me chasing the company for 2 months has chime has never arrived.

The doorbell won't connect to my router, despite trying all the different advice on their technical page.

I've told them I want a refund and am now being told to post back to China at my expense. Having read the same problem that others have had I'm reluctant to do so and it looks like I'm now stuck with a useless box of tricks which won't perform.

Their website gave the very misleading impression that the goods being supplied are UK stock which isn't the case. Their customer service is appalling and it takes days to get any response from them.

My advice would be to steer clear of this company.

Scam company. Do not order. Completely agree with all the recent comments. Ordered a doorbell in jan 2021, it initially worked, so we ordered a indoor chime too, but the door bell stopped working despite trying all the suggestions that hannah williams in customer service suggested. We didnt realise we weren't dealing with a honest, reputable company and in order to get a refund, paid for both items to be posted to china, tracked and signed for, which we know where received by safehowse on 29/3/2021. Despite weekly emails pursuing the refund, hannah williams repeatedly fobbed us off with every excuse ever thought of - and they have now stopped responding to us at all. Fingers crossed karma bites them and they suffer for the theft and hassle they put honest customers through (it has cost us nearly £100 in buying the door bell, the chime and tracked postage to china). My advice, pay more- get a 'Ring' video doorbell, its what we have done now and it is far superior than rubbish safehowse and a reputable, professional company. **Update **since posting this review, i contacted my bank as I'd paid by debit card, they refunded me the purchase costs straight into my current acct and have escalated their own investigation into 'safehowse', I'm just out of pocket re the postage i paid to return the products to China, but recommend contact your banks as they may refund you too

This is a con company . All the reviews on their website are fake. This bell is not waterproof at all. It breaks straightway in first rain. Now I’m not hearing anything.
Customer care woman Hanna williams is trying to tell me that I don’t know how to use the bell.
No refund .
Asking me to return the product back to china on my own expenses.
No gurranty of refund.
Fake people. Scam.

Ordered the doorbell, paid my £79, when it arrived it wouldn't connect to my wifi so emailed a Hannah Williams to sort the problem out which she couldn't, i was even advised to buy another router ! Arrainged to send it back to China at my exspense in January and im still waiting for a refund in April. Emailing Hannah numerous times but she just fobs me off.

Cannot believe that I didn’t check this page out before sending them £79. The bell didn’t work and I contacted the less than fragrant Hannah Williams who told me to send it to China at my expense for a refund. Sent it signed for via Royal Mail on 18 February. Have emailed her three times since then and all she says is that she has not been told if it has arrived. If you have not bought from them yet DO NOT DO SO...

What a total waste of money been contacted by hannah Williams not worked right from day one and just getting messages try this try that it faulty what part don't they understand asked for money back and I've got to send it to China at my expense discusting don't buy scam

Found out the hard way that the unit is not waterproof! So the first time we had rain to the front of the house, the bell broke and all I am told from Hannah on the mails is that the unit is not waterproof and because it was rained on, I have no option for refund or replace. Stay away guys!!

I wasn't happy with the product so I contacted Safehowse for their returns policy. At my own expense I sent the doorbells back to China costing £21. I have had weekly communication with Hannah Williams who assured me I would get my refund once it arrived back at their warehouse. It was signed for on 18th February and I still haven't had a refund. Today I received an email after telling them I was fed up of waiting for the refund for them to say they cannot issue a refund as the order is over 180 days...I ordered on 31st December so it is nowhere near the 180 days yet (and won't be until 26th June) I am currently £124.50 plus £21 for the postage out of pocket. This is a scam company. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! If I could give them an even more negative rating I would!!!

Terrible experience. Spent over 4 hours trying to set it up with someone who works in IT. Trying to send it back as believe it is faulty as it connects to WiFi but won't complete setup. I have been told I have to cover postage to China!!! After queuing in post office I was told can't be sent with batteries in so.... I bought another companies product took 4 minutes for me to setup on my own so I know it isn't me !!!

Doorbell didnt work with my wifi. They wouldnt let me return to UK sending address and just threatened I wouldnt get my money back if sent there. They advertise UK delivery! So I posted on 4th February to Shenzen China as instructed at my expense of £19! I took photographs of every stage of packing just in case they said it arrived damaged etc. And today 10th March got my refund..hooray. Definitely would not use this company...as Im £19 down! And could do without the stress!

Total scam, like many written. It stopped working after 2 days. Told I’ve over charged the batteries. Pile of tosh!! Avoid, avoid

Does not to any phones, total waste of £50, unusable, obviously fake reviews I looked at beforehand. You have to ship back to China at your own cost. DO NOT BUY. Cannot give no stars or I would 😡

Absolute piece of plastic rubbish ,could not connect to the internet bought as reviews , obviously fake reviews looked fantastic ,as purchased as facebook advert ,looked excellent value initially ,do not buy ,wasted so many hours trying to connect ,would give mo stars if possible , disgusting scamming company !
