FANTASTIC..Saftey Guide Foundation…

FANTASTIC..Saftey Guide Foundation really helped me with my daughter. She was sexually abused and became withdrawn, which in turn made her a target for Bullies to point of being suicidal. With support from saftey guide foundation she has grown in self esteem and confidence and the bullying has stopped. The work they do is amazing.

Fantastic Cause

The Safety Foundation Guide provide a great service regarding helping kids from bullying. My own daughter has gone through this and has been helped by the organisation. Happy to contribute to ensure kids that suffer are provided with more support. When being bullied kids require not just support from their own family but from others.

Scam

Funny how all the good reviews only have one review and no picture which means that they are clearly fake. This company work on a massive con trick where they fristly state you agreed to sponsor the guide, then ask which school you would like the guide to go to. Then they call back a few days later asking for payment saying they have you on recording agreeing to it, however they only ever play tthe call where no payment is talked about.
When I asked them for the purchase invoice number they said they did not need one and I had to pay.
The sample they send is cheap and generic which contains info in the sylabus anyway. The printing of your company name inside looks like it has been done with a 70s kids printing set.
I refused to pay and after some bravado they backed off. This morning they rang again saying I had shown intrest then hung up when I said I hadnt and they realised I had tumbled them.
Steer well clear and if you do get caught report to Action Fraud.

Same experience as a few on here

Same experience as a few on here. I received a phone call saying I had agreed to paying for booklets. I did not remember this call. Asked for an email and got a proforma invoice and online cheap looking booklet. They could not confirm which schools in Northern Ireland the booklets are being sent to. Checked my old emails and no correspondence there from them. They keep ringing looking for payment which I am not going to make after reading the reviews on several different sites. Feeling they are not going to take too kindly to this. For an anti-bullying campaign, I think they should read their own literature.

At best, very badly organised.........

If this company is a good company, then they should openly contact their sponsors in writing and make their position very clear. I would say they only have themselves to blame as their conduct is far from open and honest.

I share several of the negative experiences listed in the bad reviews listed.

Cold calls, no previous correspondence as claimed. Asking for payment and card details over the phone (the police recommend you do not do this under any circumstances).

The plausibility of their approach on a cold call is breathtaking and at the very least the authorities should check on the approach and QA methods they use.

Con!!

Con!!
We are a company based in Stockport. These guys cold called us thanking us for sponsoring their Child Safety Guide. We then received a bill for £200. We did not agree to this sponsorship. However, like all good scams, they'd done their homework, knew our name, address and local primary school.

Readings these reviews, this is the way they operate.

Beware - don't trust them!

I think this company have the children’s best interest at heart. We sponsored a batch of anti knife crime and gang booklets.
Safety guide also did a talk within my sons school, which had a massive impact on him. He came home and has actually asked to try and get into social work of some sort to also try and tackle the major problem we have.
Keep up the great work!

Beware

Beware. A business using this name have persistently called my business claiming that we agreed (we did not) in an earlier call to sponsor their booklet and demanding payment for it. When I pointed out that we had not, the caller became cross, saying that the booklets have already been printed, so they must be paid for.
Be vary suspicious of the positive reviews - almost entirely left by "people" who have only ever left 1 or 2 reviews. If this is a scam, they may add fake positive reviews on Trustpilot.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS LOT AND DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY!

My company supported this 'Charitable Foundation' in 2019 - we believe in supporting the local community. We decided that we would support a different charity in 2020 though, so we informed the SGF that we would not be supporting them again this year.

I received a phone call from them earlier this week thanking me for their support, that they and the school would like to send us a certificate and letter of thanks and that they would not be legally allowed to contact us after this call.

Then today we received a call from the bailiffs to say that we hadn't paid around £2000 and that they had applied for a county court judgement in January! We have not even heard from the court so how can there be a ruling against us?

After asking a couple of other companies we know who have been through the same thing it appears to be scare tactics to get you to pay and the bailiffs never turn up.

DO NOT DEAL WITH COMPANY AND DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING!!

Thanks to trust pilot.

Thanks to trust pilot I did not fall for this scam, but these people are very plausible, as a busy person running a small family business it can be difficult to remember every phone call you take. We have helped local schools in the past & this sounds like a similar worthwhile scheme but don`t take the risk, check the charity commission, they are not registered.

Hi Howard, we are so sorry you have had a negative experience with our team, but we can assure you we most definitely are not a scam. We work nationwide to deliver resources into schools and have helped hundreds, if not thousands, with our work. As a CIC and not a charity, we work to protect vulnerable and at-risk communities.

We will look into this for you and take the appropriate action. We apologize once again.

As I have since found out after reading…

As I have since found out after reading many other reviews that copy the experience I received
1# a cold call stating that we had spoken before (which I do not recollect) but as the scheme seemed a worthwhile cause I agreed to a one off payment off £189.00.
2# 2 months latter(07-02-2020) I received another call asking if I would like to make another donation, I declined and they agreed to remove my details from there data base.
3# the following day I received another invoice through the post dated the 06-02-2020 for £399.00 and upon checking my bank account the funds had been withdrawn on the same day(this payment to my knowledge was never agreed) as stated in 1# I was told it was a one off donation.
On speaking to one of the operatives he said that it was a second instalment ( which I was unaware of as I was told it was a one off payment).
I regularly donate to charities and feel that they do good work, but I would recommend anyone being approached by this organization to proceed with extreme care as I feel that they not clear or open when talking you through any payments, and that there sales tactics would make an 80 car salesman embarrassed.
When/if the School that the pamphlets have been allotted to contact
me as I have been told they will, I will ask for details of what they have actually received, and whether nearly £600.00 (total of the 2 payments) was in there opinion good value.

Safety Guide Foundation

I also fell for the same selling of these 'books' in June last year telling me the books now printed with our name on for the school I asked for. If I paid today will discount to £140.00. I ended up doing this even though we had no recollection of the previous telephone call. The 'books' however did not arrive until I pestered The Safety Guide Foundation in October 2019. Surprised to see a small booklet with our name on a sticker so when I was told printed for us obviously not correct. Also only around 30 booklets were sent - nowhere near enough for the school to make use of. Then at the end of November I had another telephone call From The Safety Foundation telling me the 2nd instalment I signed up for now due for payment so they need £180. When I said I have not signed anything got very rude & told me its all in the paper work I received and the representative would not stop talking & telling me I had to pay as books now printed ! Eventually I said now stop talking & listen to me-I have not signed anything, will not be paying and if you have something signed by me prove it !! said will pass to accounts team-nothing heard since. I do not like how this company work and what they provide, my advice keep away.! If they try to say this is fake review its not I have the paperwork to prove I paid them and emails trying to sort delivery to the school
