This is a local school here

This is a local school here, whilst its lovely that local businesses support charities, but the information that this charity sends out are a waste.
Should your business be interested in supporting local schools, please contact them directly as we could use your support more wisely and 100% of your donation will go to the school.
Please be aware!!

AVOID at all costs

AVOID contact with this company. I was cold rung by a sales person and agreed to a guide for our local school for about £150. I thought it was a one off.
I then get rung by a woman who told me there were three more payments of over £300 to cover the school for the year. This certainly was never explained to me. The woman was not interested in and sounded like she has this conversation all the time. She just went bowling on saying I would have to pay for the next term. I said I would not and she said she would refer it to disputes and hung up.

Unsolicited booklets received again

Not for the first time we have received around 30 unsolicited anti bullying booklets- provided from a company known to us. This is not how we work and do not want other parties encouraged to pay for a resource we have not asked for.
As a school we have a well established programme of regular events and activities around bullying and other PSHE issues and are not waiting for a few copies of a small booklet to deliver messages to pupils and parents. Please do not ask anyone else to provide booklets in our name please or at the very least please ask us first if we want someone to purchase the resource on our behalf

AVOID THIS COMPANY !

I was just called by the Safety Guide foundation. The caller assured me he had spoken to me some months back when I apparently agreed to spend 180 pounds on some educational safety brochures for kids. After he reassured me that I must have forgotten about the call he passed me through to the payment lady. Just before making the payment I checked trust pilot and found someone else experienced the same thing. Ultimately I didn't agree to this and there was no previous call. I believe this is a genuine charity doing good work, however, I don't forget things and therefore believe it was a cold call with no previous correspondence and I was being lied to. I did no donate on that basis.

AVOID!!!

Hard sell tactics, telling me that I had agreed to sponsor a book printing that I had not, in fact, agreed to. The book itself really poor quality in design and content in my professional opinion and in my personal opinion not suitable for young children at all—despite them telling me it was perfect for primary age kids. An internet search revealed some interesting similarities with other abnormal sales techniques. Do a search and beware of what you are getting into.

I have altered my review as the initial was perhaps a little strong, but receiving a phone call from the company pressurising me to change my review was pretty galling.

Avoid this company

I received a cold call last week from someone at a company called the Safety Guide Foundation saying that I had agreed to sponsor a booklet for £189 destined for one of the local schools, something I didn't remotely recall and which I would not have agreed to over the phone. However they made the Child Safety Awareness Guide booklet sound interesting and that our local school would be enormously appreciative and the head would write to thank me for our support so I assumed I must simply have forgotten. I have now been sent the invoice for £189.00. Since then it has come to my attention that there are many reviews online from people saying they have had exactly the same experience of being telephoned to say they have agreed to something they remember nothing about. I have now contacted the school concerned and they also have never heard of the Safety Guide Foundation and have never asked for any booklets from them. I have now emailed the company to say that I expect this invoice to be cancelled within the next 7 days or I will be contacting Action Fraud.

Honest, hard hitting and educational

A very hard hitting and honest workshop delivered to my Year 6 class today by Byron, who selflessley shared his devastating personal experiences with us in order to prevent more families going through what his family went through.

This is definitely something that will stick with the children for life. It has provided them with vital facts, statistics and information about knife crime, which has educated them as they prepare for their transition into high-school and through into adulthood. This will ultimately save lives. Thank you.
