We arranged for a viewing at 12 pm to then receive a call at 11:56am to say that he had double booked but can be with us at 12:30pm to which we were happy to do. 5 minutes later we received another call to say he was unable to get the keys to the property and would have to rebook, I find it hard to believe that the seller would not arrange for the keys to be available at short notice (but the viewing was arranged a week in advance) when the property has been on the market for 2 months without a sale and a keen investor was willing to view the property. Very unprofessional, disorganised avoid selling or buying from them if possible.

It was a pleasure to deal with Jamie and his team. I’ve been buying and selling property for over 20 years and I have to say the service I received from Sail Homes was the best I’ve ever experienced. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends, family and colleagues. I hope to work with Jamie and his team again.
I've been looking for a house for about 18 months, and the sheer magnitude of all the paperwork and hoops you have to jump through is terrifying. But have been following Sail Homes in the news and their approach is superb.
Across the UK 30% of house sales fall through. I read that Sail Homes are taking 14 properties through to completion, and are yet to have a single one fall through.
And SH can get a property sold within 1 month, which is a miracle considering a friend was stuck buying his home for nearly a year. He was using a high street estate agent.
Long story short, I want to buy my first house through Sail Homes!
I was interested in purchasing a buy to rent property on behalf of my mother. I stated this intention over the phone and twice in email correspondence. I drove over an hour and a half to view the property at 8.30am only to be told by the manager of the property that there was no option for rental on any of the properties in their complex.
What a waste of time!

I received helpful and constructive support and advice regarding the first property I was interested in. I’ve since been sent details of other similar properties by email, to help my house search. I’ve had swift replies to emails plus a follow-up call.
Fantastic response to my calls and updated throughout the process. This really is a new and exciting way of selling your home. Super quick.
Our experience and the time Jamie spent with us was excellent the attention to detail and route planner was very useful, although the property didn't quite fit our needs I gave some feedback and Jamie is still very knowledgeable and continuing to help us. I can highly recommend them, good to know that they are interested in the buyer also
Property bid is easy and quick to use and the customer service is great! We have just recently had refurbishment works carried out & were keen to find out what the value would be thereafter. No pressure to sell either, which is good!
Excellent service from the company. Called at the arranged time to do valuation and really listened. Genuinely interested in the house and gave an accurate valuation.
Really simple process, was guided through exactly what I needed to do and got a valuation all within around half an hour. Much more convenient than having someone actually come out to my home to take a look.
The call was fun and easy to comply with. What a good idea and highly informative. A great way to gain a property valuation and all of the background information on local properties for sale had been pre researched. I would highly recommend this service. A great new idea!!!
The experience of showing my home to an estate agent via video call was very constructive. I wasn’t rushed, and had plenty of time to point out my home’s good points, like the views, its history, the original features, the open fireplaces, the high ceilings, the room sizes, the different fruit trees and plants in our large garden, and so on.
Because I’m fundamentally honest, I also pointed out various plaster cracks that have been caused from the simple fact that Victorian lime plaster is by nature very friable - all of which are in the process of being repaired by my builder partner.
My partner is also carrying out a general re-furb in preparation for putting our house on the market, and the works in progress were also taken into consideration by the agent, and when he gave me his valuation, he gave me both an “as is” figure and a “when completed” figure.
I found that I felt far more comfortable with a video valuation than with many I’ve had done in person. The agent was friendly and easy to talk to, had a sense of humour (rare in the majority of estate agents, in my experience!) and all in all, I actually enjoyed the whole process.
He asked me to show him the house from the front as a starting point, then to walk him through the house as if I was doing a viewing myself - this is a great idea as previous experience of watching estate agents take people round my house has left me often frustrated by their obvious lack of interest. I was able to show my home in the order I think works best.
I think one of the main benefits of this method of valuation is that the owner has full control over the viewing. Another benefit to this method with this particular agent, Jamie, was that he was unperturbed by the ongoing building works which inevitably had led to a couple of rooms being currently unusable due to using them to store the furniture we’ve taken out of one room to make decorating that room easier. Agents in person tend to be very sniffy about having anything out of place, and expect your house to look immaculate- which is understandable, just not always very practical!
All in all, I would recommend this method of valuation to any prospective vendors. It was painless, enjoyable, and informative. I think this could - and possibly should - be the future of viewings. In the current Covid Lockdown climate, I think we are being forced into finding ways of doing things without close human contact, so this fits that scenario very well right now, but I also think that this method of viewing and valuation could easily become the preferred method of choice for many potential vendors and buyers - whilst some agencies offer a video tour of some properties, it’s nothing like being walked through a home as this enabled.
I imagine that initial viewings via video call could be arranged with interested potential buyers, and if they like what they see, they could then go on to arrange an in-person viewing. I know that if you’re planning to move to an area many miles from your current location, lining up viewings and getting to them, then driving all the way home again, is massively time-consuming and exhausting - and often disappointing. With a video call, as a buyer, you would have the chance to say, “What’s in that corner? Can you show me the road outside? Can you go in closer on....(whatever)”, so this method would, I think prove popular with buyers as well as sellers.
Innovative and effective, I recommend this method of property viewing and valuation.
I found the experience of an online evaluation refreshing.
Being able to arrange a suitable time was easy, as was using smart phone technology to easily show the property to the agent. Happy to do this again if I am considering selling my property.
Jamie was really great. The valuation was excellent and I liked how it was carried out. Background research on the area had been done and Jamie was knowledgeable on this. I would definitely use a service like this one when we are ready to sell our house as I found it non invasive and very helpful. I thought the valuation was accurate too.
I haven't used it before but I hear good things
