If it’s “too good to be true”, it probably is!

We booked a condo for spring break at an INCREDIBLE rate. I’m talking almost $1000 less than any other booking platform for the same rental. We kind of had the feeling that it was “too good to be true”, but the payment was accepted and contract signed. However, just a few hours later, we received an email from the actual rental agency for the condo stating they could not honor the price we booked at, refunded our money, and cancelled our reservation! They apologized profusely stating that they have had trouble with SAVVY and were in the process of ending their contract due to ongoing price discrepancies. I would not trust booking through this platform in the future.

We’re really sorry this happened and completely understand how disappointing it must have been to think you secured such an incredible rate, only to have it canceled a few hours later.

After reviewing this with the host, we confirmed that Savvy was displaying the exact rate being sent to us from their reservation system at the time of booking. Unfortunately, there was a configuration issue within the host’s software that caused the discrepancy. They’re currently reviewing and correcting it and their listings are temporarily not bookable on Savvy while that’s being addressed to prevent anything like this from happening again.

We did reach out directly to try and help make this right and we’re still available if you’d like assistance securing another stay.

Excellent alternative to Air BnB

I had an awesome experience with a direct booking for a vacation in Rocky Point. The ad had everything I needed to make a great choice and get directed to the owners website. I booked directly through and saved a couple hundred bucks in fees!

Poor customer service…

I booked a place with you then found out i put in the wrong dates. I have tried to cancel this resrvation through Savvy and through the owner and have been unable to get it cancelled. Poor customer service.

This is a great place

I love the prices in the properties! They are very competitive. I reserved a place for my 50th birthday trip, and I paid 2 days ago. I have STILL not heard from the host, nor have any of my correspondence been answered. I still don’t have an address to notify my guests, and I’m left wondering if I actually have a rental, or will we be scrambling for stay options once we get there. I’m praying I didn’t just get scammed. After this review, mt stay was exactly like the pictures, and the location and stay was perfect!! I will def come again!

Great Customer Service

Stay away

Stay away, I can never trust a company that asks me for my routing and account number for a rebate for using them!! Then after weeks finally agree to pay me pay check, and now says they won't, Not a trust worthy company in my opinion.

This is a responce from Savvy before backing out again. Probably just wanted the thanksgiving business before I posted.

Please also note that check reimbursements are not something we normally offer, but we’re making an exception in your case, so we truly appreciate your patience.

As mentioned previously, the fastest way to receive your optional rebate is through our secure payment processor, Stripe. However, since you prefer a check, we’re happy to accommodate, just keep in mind that a mailed reimbursement may take up to two weeks to arrive.

We thought everyone would be so excited that in addition to saving them hundreds on a vacation rental, we were giving them an additional $50 rebate that we totally failed to consider possible frustrations with “how” the rebate was processed. While we assure you it was secure, we totally see how it could seem awkward. Our apologies.

Based on your feedback however and frustration that we caused to you, we’ve made improvements to our rebate redemption process to make it faster and more streamlined for travelers and now also offer payout via: Venmo, PayPal, and the Cash App, all of which allow for instant reimbursement without the need for traditional bank transfers or banking information.

We’re always working to improve and appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experience. If you have any additional questions or would like to revisit your request, we’d still like to make sure you get your rebate. Our team is here to help at support@savvy.com.
