I am very happy to supply a review for SCIS, and in particular to give credit to Megan Gratton, who as a customer service executive has provided me with the most superb level of support. I was very lucky to be eligible for a grant with eon and would encourage anyone in a similar position to consider this very straightforward home improvement delivered by an excellent company. Thank you to all, from the initial surveyor to the genuinely great guys who undertook the installation.

We have had an excellent journey with Eon from our first enquiry about the possibility of having an air source heat pump fitted. We were incredibly lucky that the work was in the hands of Cotswold Energy. They were amazing! From the survey through to the final commissioning we were impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and "can do" attitude. Every problem was cleverly solved without compromise. The system works very efficiently and is easy to adjust to individual requirements.

On initial contact, I was asked if they could have a LOOK at the property to see if it was eligible for free funding. At no point mentioning that they would be drilling holes into my brickwork. The only time I was aware of this was when I heard the drilling downstairs. I then subsequently had to buy filler to go round and fill the holes that they had left so that insects didn't crawl into my cavities and start nesting.
They then made two seperate survey appointments without consulting me, despite me telling them specifically that I would be working Monday to Friday and therefore unavailable.
So far this company come across as very unprofessional and disingenuous, so won't be letting them anywhere near my house again.

A lot of negative recent reviews but don’t be put off if you've already got these guys coming.
From a knock on the door, these guys arranged a survey to be done on the house which was explained and complete, somebody came and installed new extractor fans and then a another lot came to fit the insulation all within a month or so. There was an issue with the first insulation date but was re-scheduled the week after.
Insulation was done within 2 hours and they tidied up.
No complaints at all.
Thanks a lot.

Had a representative knock on the door and did a quick survey of my house, even drilling a few holes to inspect the cavity. Once the inspection was done and the holes filled in poorly, I was told not to worry as the property was eligible for cavity wall insulation and a few other ventilation aspects. They even left a nice glossy promotional leaflet. After two attempts to get in contact with the customer services, each time I was told that they would get back to me with a date which they can carry out the works. Lo and behold still no correspondence so regret talking to these people, let alone them drilling holes in my property.

This company fitted insulation at our neighbours house. The house is a terraced. Whilst fitting a strong smell of solvents starting coming through to our property. The operator stated 'that's normal don't worry about it'. If that is the case then at minimum a warning to us prior to commencing so we could ventilate our home so we were not breathing in toxic fumes. The 2 contractors discarded the packaging for the product they used on the floor outside - disgusting and lack of professionalism. Furthermore, the product they use is like small silver polystyrene balls, these were left all over our footpath/drive and road. No attempt whatsoever to clean up after themselves. When challenged whether this product would leak into our cavity (which we do not want) they did not seem confident at all whether it does or doesn't.
I phoned to complain and ask the contractors return to clean up after themselves, I was told a manager would be in contact, around 3 weeks ago and there rubbish is still on the road.
Shocking company do not let them in your property!!!!!!!!!!

What a complete farce of a company .we've waited for months for this originally had a survey .they said everything fine cavity wall insulation okay to be done .taken time off work today scis company arrived today .and straight away said it cannot be done .said there was to much rubbish within the cavity of walls .surely this should have been seen on there survey .so no cavity insulation just one long wait for nothing to be done .eon needs to check this company out .has they don't have a clue .
Wouldn't let them near any property just a load of cowboys who like to waste people time

Worse than zero. I would not let them near my property again. EOn Energy sent them to install insulation in my loft. The word for them is "cowboys". They damaged my doors when a guy came to check air flow after the installation, and used an old biro pen to put under two doors, broke the pen and took some paint off both doors. Their customer service exec made light of this and still is! They left my loft in a mess, leaving it unsafe, my plumber could have fallen through the ceiling. They attended to put the boarding safe, I switched the central heating off. When the SCIS employee left, my boiler broke down. It's a fairly new, regularly maintained boiler. The pump failed. Cost me over £400 to repair. My plumber said it was no coincidence that this happened after SCIS were here. They are refusing to acknowledge any damage. I am taking them to the ombudsman. Stay clear.. They have recently employed someone to sort out customer complaints. That says it all. Energy companies should not use this company. It's been a one year long nightmare!!

Awful from get go. Left rubbish everywhere. Taken bricks out and then didn’t mix the mortar correctly so the bricks have come away leaving holes going through the house and completely different colour and size brick. Have come back to re-do the pointing and still shoddy. I wish I could post pictures to show how much they don’t care. VERY RUSHED

I firmly believe in offering a company an opportunity to respond before posting in a public forum, I have had no response to my complaint for over a week.
1. Made absolutely no effort to clean up after themselves. Brick dust, mortar, and insulation beads are all around my house, my neighbours houses and into the street and the water course ( we had best hope they are non toxic!)
2. Failed to install the trickle vents only after the insulation material was already being fired into ~100 holes in my house, and offered no plan to rectify. Likewise informed me of an issue of not being able to drill out/protect a number of the airbricks only after the holes were in the house. This should have been identified at the survey to allow us to make an informed choice.
3. Asked my wife to sign a blank screen on an ipad but offered no opportunity for her to read what she was signing. Left without any contact should there be issues, nor the promised 25 year guarantee of work.
In summary, insulation is in my house,

Had cavity wall insulation installed last week by Romans, Josh and Jack. All very professional, friendly and informative. Romans explained what they were doing and was very speedy and tidy when coming inside to fit the trickle vents. Great service all round.

Nightmare company, Drilled holes in older parents home (they are in their 8o's with COPD), then no contact from SCIS. Started process again, new assessor came out (who was lovely). Chased office, appears cost for parents home is too much for the grant. Holes remain in property, left parents anxious about property as no indication why it needs so much work. Appears once they knew they couldn't get grant, they backed off.
They need to drastically improve their customer service which for me was very poor. The experience was perplexing to say the least and i cannot therefore recommend them to anyone. I had no choice in awarding a star as the option to not give anything was not an option.

In March 2023, SCIS carried out extraction of cavity wall insulation and thermabead insulation to the tenants next door to us - their property is owned by a Housing Association. Unfortunately, during the extraction process, which was absolutely horrendous, we thought our house was going to fall down, it shook violently and there was a lot of dust produced. A great big fracture opened up in my front bedroom between my wall and window and a lot of old cavity wall insulation came flying in to my room. As you can imagine, I was not happy and absolutely furious that they had damaged my home. SCIS had not inserted a batten between the party wall of our property and the tenant's next door before starting the extraction work! We eventually had our wall repaired which SCIS paid for as well as a small amount of compensation.
However, about a year later, the tenant next door had a flood in his house. The flood water crossed through our party wall and into our dining room ceiling and through the light fixture as well as in a cupboard in the dining room. After this event we started to smell the tenants next door's plug-in perfume sprays that they use in their house. The smell permeates through the front hallway party wall right through to the dining room wall as well as the dining room ceiling. The smells can also permeate up into our stair hallway. We believe that during the extraction process with the pneumatic drilling, damage was caused to our party wall which we now find ourselves in this nightmare situation.
There was no due diligence when they carried out the works. They never notified us that they were going to be drilling and affecting our home. We have also seen their procedure reports which was a standard report and noted that they did not comply with the standard procedures when carrying out the works - ie, there were supposed to be barriers erected, keep the place clean and most of all, they should never have damaged our property.
We are now in the terrible position whereby the Housing Association have denied there is any issue that we have a damaged home thanks to them and SCIS and in the words of the manager of building works at the Housing Association, (who happens to be a plumber by trade and has never seen the operation
of cavity wall insulation extraction) told us mockingly, 'it's all good and not bad'!! Well, it's absolutely terrible!

We have been expecting insulation since April, it is now the end of September. On 2 previous occasions they were meant to come out and didn’t - today being the second time even though I called this morning and it was confirmed they will be coming!!!
I’ve had to correct their details of my name and phone number on multiple occasions.
Now apparently I have to wait until October 15th - but (and this is unbelievable) they cannot email confirmation of the appointment because their email system has been down for a couple of WEEKS!!!!
When we eventually had the extractors fitted the first installer did a terrible job and went home sick, but to be fair the second installer was much better.
Still though, I’m disabled and live in a bungalow with zero insulation, and this bunch cannot get their ducks in a row or even email to say what’s happening.
Do I believe they’ll be coming on the 15th? I have zero faith, but I will update this if they do.
Given the choice though, definitely use someone else.
UPDATE:
They did not show up on the 15th, even though I called a confirmed on the morning of the 15th!!
Rebooked for the 23rd.
UPDATE:
Even though I called and confirmed yesterday, SCIS Group are once again not coming today (23rd). Instead of them letting me know I’ve just had a call from a Cambridge firm who help out and was only contacted by SCIS this morning, so it’s not happening AGAIN, and I have to wait to hear when this Cambridge company can do it.
SCIS are beyond bad at this point, I cannot believe e.on are using such an awful company.

Absolute worst company I've ever worked for. And wouldn't let them touch my house under any circumstances No consideration to the customers property. If you call management and inform them a certain house shouldn't be installed their response was eather do it or eff off. And presure you into doing what they want by threatening you with you're job. Cowboy company being ran by people with no clue about the insulation trade. Job offer is for £50,000 plus but in reality you're on £12ph once they take away you're bonus for no reason. + you'll,be expected to drive a vehicle that's over weight and risk you're license
