Poor communication
I was referred to SCIS through my energy provider for loft insulation and found the services to be quite poor, in particular the communication was dreadful. I initially didn’t receive a date and had to call them to receive the initial date in early september, I arranged leave for this day and they never showed, I called again to enquire and they advised a date later in the month. Once again I took leave but they canceled the day before, another date was given and of course they canceled a third time. On all 3 occasions I was advised that they had to cancel due to lack of crew availability, and subsequently they handed the contract back to my energy provider.
On all occasions I found the communication to be near absent and this cost me time/effort and money. If you are unable to fulfill a contract I suggest that you don’t take it.

We had the most fantastic lads do our installation today, Nick, and Calum they were brilliant ,polite and very good at their job, despite the fact that the compressor broke down, they did everything in their power to get the job done, which they did when another compressor was brought to the site, I would recommend these two lads to anybody.I would also recommend this company to anyone

Great experience. Ozzy (apologies if I spelt the name wrong) was very professional and polite. Ensured the house was kept clean, protected the carpets and got on with the loft insulation very efficiently. Cleaned up after himself and it was left immaculate. He did a brilliant job.

Both Kane and Romans were extremely professional. There were considerate when entering the property to do the window vents as I have a 11 month old who was taking a nap at the time.
Overall the job looked tidy and they cleaned up after themselves so you would hardly know the work had even been carried out.
I hope anyone else who has this work done has it done by these two guys.

Kane and Roman did an excellent job…
Kane and Roman did an excellent job installing insulation at our house. Our house was recently rendered white and we were initially worried about how the drilling and patching of holes into the house would alter its aesthetic appearance. They were very understanding and helped calm our worries. They carefully explained the procedure and outlined the pros and cons for us, so we could make a fully informed decision. In the end we went through with the work. Kane and Roman did an excellent job. They were friendly, supportive and wholly professional. They were careful when drilling and minimised disruption to the render. They carefully matched the patch work to the white render, blending it in a way that it is as seamless and invisible as possible. They thoughtfully cleaned up the brick debris and wiped down the render afterwords and swept around the house. They were also very efficient and careful when installing the window vents. We could not be more pleased with their work.

Don’t waste your time booking an appointment as they probably won’t even show up
Well, I’ve been waiting in all day for South Coast Insulation to come and take out our old Cavity Wall Insulation ready for them to come back next week to put in the new Insulation.
When South Coast Insulation rung us to book the appointment they stated they would be with us at 8:30am, we’ve rung our Housing Association 4 times to find out if there is an update and the Housing Association have either not had their call answered, have left a message or have been told that someone from South Coast Insulation will call us, it is now 4:30pm and they haven’t bothered ringing us to let us know they are either running behind or not coming due to some rubbish excuse.
I’ve had to cancel my afternoon plans and loose out on the cost of my planned booking because of this company’s incompetence!
I’m not even happy about giving them a 1 star review, zero would’ve been more accurate as we’ve had zero shows and zero contact from them!
Be funny if they turned up next week to put the new stuff in to find A) no holes drilled in the walls from the removal of the old and B) to find the old still in the cavity, waste of their time after they’ve wasted my time and money!

Worst company i have ever dealt with
Worst company i have ever dealt with. I'm sad to see that i can relate to so many 1* reviews of people not showing up for appointments booked and the customers services not having a clue what's going on.
I have had 8 months of trying to get this all sorted and i am no further forward after 8 months. We have had numerous no shows for appointments and not even a call to let us know nobody is coming. When i can eventually get through to someone, nobody knows what is going on even though I'm assured my notes have been updated and every single person promises that the appointments have been booked. Some staff on the phone can have a rude attitude as well when you try and explain your frustrations to them.
Overall absolutely rubbish company and I don't even want to continue going forward with any of this anymore, it isn't worth the stress! I thought it was too good to be true when we were informed we could have cavity wall insulation funded and it definitely is!

Brilliant customer service
Had a minor issue contacted customer service was answered by Geraldine who gave me all the information I needed but couldn’t answer my querry she said she would forward it to her colleague Megan who would contact me , a couple of hours later received a call from Megan who sorted out my problem there and then , read a few negative reviews about the customer service on here and I know you can only go off the experience you have had as an individual but these 2 ladies went the extra step for me and I can’t thank them enough they are an credit to the company - many thanks Gary

Continually being let down
We are still waiting for our loft insulation to be fitted. We have been given 3 separate dates and on each occasion they have failed to turn up. On the first date we didn't even hear from them, on the second and third date we had phone calls at 3 o'clock to say they wouldn't be coming. This has been unacceptable and unprofessional, we've taken time off work and been let down every time. They've now rescheduled another date, which means taking another day off. I won't be holding my breath.

Owen arrived in good time this morning…
Owen arrived in good time this morning to install insulation in my loft. He was very polite and professional explaining in detail exactly what he would be doing. He was working alone in difficult conditions caused by the hot weather, but still managed to complete the installation and install trickle vents within about 3 hours. He worked extremely hard and efficiently and kept me informed of any difficulties throughout the process., leaving everything clean and tidy. I am extremely satisfied now the job has been done. He was a credit to his employers and I would definitely recommend their service
