Josh has been patient while consistently trying to help me purchase a property. Even though I am still to buy one through him, his customer service has really helped me to have confidence as an investor often searching for suitable properties…….

Scott Fraser handled the sale of our apartment in Littlemore with competence and enthusiasm. We were particularly pleased with the people looking after things for us, Josh and Lydia. They were always easy to contact and very responsive. When Lydia was away, Patrick stepped in seamlessly. Based on our experience we would recommend Scott Fraser to anyone selling a property in the Oxford area. We truly felt they earned their fee.

Tried to purchase my first home, made an offer and left a deposit for it. New construction.
They mentioned (verbally) the home would have had NHBC warranty, but this turned out not to be true on paper (my mistake as I should've checked, still you'd want to trust what an agent tells you).
They recommended a solicitor *and* a mortgage advisor, I followed their recommendations but then it turned out the solicitor was not on the panel for the mortgage offer I got, and also the offer was almost lost due to the lack of NHBC warranty above. So I lost some money having to find another solicitor now.
The snagging survey found at least three major defects that the builder seems not to be willing to fix. I might want to drop out now.
They (again verbally) told me that in case I changed my mind or something went wrong, I'd have lost ~1k of the 5k deposit I left. Now it turns out I'll lose all of it (of course, I should've also demanded to have this written down, still it makes this company not trustworthy to a customer).
I'll now seek legal advice to see what my options are.

Absolute nightmare of an agency. A day before the tenancy start we discovered that the flat was not cleaned, was in a completely different state (moild, cracks on walls, stinky wardrobe, dirty mattress) from what was shown in the video (the apartment won't be shown to you before you send a security deposit, which also if you refuse to carry on after seeing it won't be returned to you).
They never call back after taking your details. Lettings team incomprehensibly incompetent, you ask them questions, and they keep saying don't know this and that, and always late for meetings (we had to wait for the girl for over an hour while she also forgot to take the right keys).
After moving in we discovered that opening readings were not taken as well as no inventory prepared.
Out of all the team, our property manager Oliver is the only nice and smart guy that actually gets things done. However, 1 out of all Scott Fraser is really a poor score
If I could go back, I would never rent from Scott Fraser

If I could put zero stars I would.
My son rented thru them as a student 4 months after leaving we are still awaiting the deposit back they tried to take £200 off the deposit - because there was dust on the skirting boards behind the bed - staff just give you the run around and are totally useless and unhelpful - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!! You have been warned Caveat Emptor - I see they have replied to the review but not offered any hint as to what they would do better/differently - lip service really and not good enough. I have finally got the deposit back 14th October! Ffs - but only after offering for me to visit the place……….

Absolutely appalled by the service from Scott Fraser. My son and his friends are still waiting to receive their deposit back from their rented house. Numerous phone calls have been made and the landlord has also requested the release of the funds.
Students can not wait 6 weeks to be reimbursed. Would not recommend using this company.

Our student accommodation was organised via Scott Fraser- our landlords were great and fixed any problem we had without delay. Scott Fraser, on the other hand, kept our deposit for well over a month after they were told to release it, presumably so they could cash in on that extra interest money. They were useless in getting that money back to us despite our landlords clear instructions to them- they couldn’t pour water out of a shoe even if the instructions were on the bottom. Avoid.

Dear Oliver,
I don’t think I have yet recovered from the utter disaster that was my small portfolio in your colleagues ‘ incapable hands.
You had full management but did not find me tenants ……on the contrary, you skilfully LOST me tenants….. 2 from one house alone.
All of my HMO tenants had bills included in their rents. Your colleagues immediately set about cancelling all utilities and council tax etc. Book keeping was a lost cause. To this day I can’t make head nor tail of it.
It was so bad that neither could my accountants either.
I had such poor responses that I ended up writing to the MD of Leaders. Didn’t hear back from him either.
All I wanted was a less stressful life as I am over 80 and felt that I could retire and travel a bit.
Without doubt, sorting the ongoing tenant distress and snarled up paperwork, I can safely say that I worked 4 times harder than if I had just continued to peacefully manage my properties myself….. and was well on the way to a stroke……and paying you for the privilege,
It’s very nice of you to offer to give me that experience again but may I gratefully decline .
Kind regards,
Judy Crompton

Great service from Joanna Channon as property manager for my rental property. Very efficient, polite, focused and does what she says she will do. Helped to resolve a number of tenancy issues recently with great professionalism and showed me the value of a great property manager
