Worth the price & wait. Ordered in early Aug & received in mid Jan, following year. Be patient because it’s worth every penny & thread. Give them time to communicate also. They responded timely & were trying. They are good on their word.

I ordered several kilts from Scottish Kilt Shop and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I found out when DHL sent a shipping notification that the kilts were manufactured in Pakistan, despite the company's sneaky claims about their Scottish origins. The minute I found out, I demanded a refund as every kilt I have unintentionally purchased from Pakistan have gone into the garbage. Trust a warning from an experienced buyer here and don't bother!
Upon receiving the kilts, I immediately noticed a strong chemical smell, which was concerning. My eyes burned it was so bad.

Furthermore, each kilt fit differently, one fit correctly, the other dead tight and the other way too loose.

The designs were not as functional as advertised. The inner apron was ridiculously small, barely providing adequate coverage and causing discomfort while walking. Additionally, the front apron seemed smaller than a children's kilt, leading to the unsightly appearance of pleats popping out and not falling back in as I walked, resembling a tutu more than a traditional kilt. The misalignment of the buckles only added to the dissatisfaction, forcing the front of the kilt to sit crooked.

To make matters worse, the "Stone Washed Kilt" lacked an apron altogether, instead featuring two front pockets and resembling a frumpy ladies skirt. I found this to be incredibly disappointing and not reflective of the quality I expected.

Despite reaching out to the company and expressing my concerns and thourough feedback, I've been ignored regarding a refund. This lack of response is disheartening, especially after the company touted their supposedly iron-clad guarantee.

I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others considering purchasing from the Scottish Kilt Shop. The discrepancies between the advertised product and the actual items received left me deeply dissatisfied, and I urge potential customers to approach their purchases with caution.

I could go further into the shear lack of constructive replies from "support" but you should get my drift by now. Buy your kilt elsewhere, there's far better vendors.

Moments after writing this, I received acknowledgement that they will refund me if I ship back the kilts to some weird address in Virginia. They claim on their site to be in Brooklyn.

The policy was a selling feature! It clearly states if you don't love it, take a video burning the product and they will refund you.

Furthermore, they do not supply a return shipping label, so I am made to pay out of pocket to ship back. This after paying brokerage for product coming from Pakistan.
I doubt I will see a refund from these people. My package is probably going to get "lost".

If they do refund me, who's going to be the next sucker they resell these too and flip another couple bucks?

I ordered two items from Scottish Kilt. I received one of the items (6 weeks later) and a packing slip listing the second item (which I was counting on for a special event.) I contacted the company and was told the second item was "out of stock." They claimed they had informed me of the out of stock but I found no emails from them on the date they claimed to have sent the information. They refunded me the price of the item BUT NOT THE SHIPPING COSTS I PAID. I will NEVER buy anything from these people again.

Ordered a custom kilt from this company in a specialty tartan for a wedding 6 weeks out with a rush order (paid rush order).

Immediately began getting the run around, "we don't have that in stock" we can make you a different kilt. We can't make the kilt in time (yet they took the money anyway and claimed they could once the $$ cleared).

Kilt arrived 2 weeks too late, from Pakistan in a plastic bag.

Every measurement I provided to the company kilt was wrong. The kilt arrived with 1.5 foot lengths of string hanging off the bottom, was incorrectly sewn, and was unraveling all over the place.

I contacted the company and they immediately demanded pictures. I sent them and they couldn't argue how bad it was, instead they claimed they would remake me the correct size/measurements I'd previously sent (this was early july). Company claimed it would be delivered in 2-3 weeks.

It is now October. I reached out to them two weeks ago and was told "We sent your custom made kilt to a random customer months ago. We have only now reached out to him to notify HIM of the mis-delivery (remember, this was delivered to random person late July - and nothing happened. Customer service never reached out, didn't ask if they resolved the issues, etc).

So as it stands now, I'm out some 400$ while this company is claiming they are going to recover the product from a random stranger (who has had it for 2 months) and redeliver it to me.

This company is being reported to the BBB and I've been in contact with some legal consultants - as the company appears to be fraudulently marketing and then not delivering products that have been paid for.

Please do your due diligence and do not order from them. You will be scammed and you will lose your money for an inferior product - that is fraudulently claimed to be crafted in the US but is sent from Pakistan or Bangladesh.

You will not receive a legit kilt or product if you custom order here.

I ordered a custom kilt 5 months before my wedding. 2 months before I started asking for updates. I was told “still in weaving” and “having problems getting threads” 2 weeks before I was told to “pick another” and we will ship out asap, but I still wanted the original kilt for a family event.

The 1st kilt arrived the MONDAY after the wedding. 10 days before the family wedding I was told they couldn’t do it. And wanted to refund only partial payment for the custom order.

IF I had not been strung along, I could have ordered from USA kilt, who actually delivers custom orders. But, instead, we received a generic kilt, a lot of stress finding replacements for the wedding. Don’t go here if you want a kilt. The one star is for the quality of the kilt we did receive

Kilt arrived and the tartan looked nothing like the image online. The kilt was cheap but it also felt horrible, and it was made in Bangladesh and not the US as stated. When I asked how to get a refund they replied several times with a generic message stating that "quality is of the utmost importance and if I have any further queries not to hesitate to contact them..."

Fabric of Cornish tartan kilt was of great quality and the pattern was really cool. Very good service, helpful and competent. I must say that the brand knew how to keep up with the standard while being budget friendly. Will purchase more from them in the future.

I recently found out that I am a quarter Scot. I've always had a fascination with kilts, something in my DNA I suppose, but never bought one. So this is my very first. I have worn this pattern in jackets and shirts so I jumped at the chance at this one. I have to say I am completely satisfied with this kilt. I work it all day and I can see why people love them. This is very comfortable and has a decent weight on the fabric. For the price, I would say goodbye. I will purchase other kilts from this maker. I did buy an XL and should have gotten a L. I am losing weight, but the adjustable belt I already had worked.

Now I am a real customer, I am not some employee writing fake reviews. I have been looking at most of the reviews and they are mainly about the waiting time. I got mine on a rush order and came 8 days later. It's nicely made, in fact, there is a beautiful lion sewn into it which makes my kilt look awesome! It's lightweight, but it's not paper. It's nicely stitched and sewn and it's absolutely beautiful.

To be honest I was a bit worried when I decided to order a kilt from them in November due to some negative reviews here, so I paid via Paypal just in case.

Yet in the end the service was excellent. The kilt I ordered was done in three weeks and the order arrived to Russia in about one week from Pakistan through London. Besides, the stuff was answering quickly, the only problem I encountered is that I realised some of the emails from them went to spam and it was a bit frustrating.

The kilt itself was exactly what I ordered with all the custom details and in the right size. It is New Year gift for a friend who's been looking for this particular tartan for years, so I believe he'll be more than happy. And this is what matters.

Ordered a Hybrid Kilt in the very beginning of March... Three weeks later they said it was being sewn... Two weeks after that it was that they were short that tartan (Gordon)... Later it was being done again and would take 2-3 weeks... Here it is literally over a sixth of a year. I want a refund. I want my order#140006842 completely refunded. Still waiting. Pretty much going to go to the BBB and figure out how to file against them. And they respond only after a week or so. Two months of life wasted. Meantime I got three kilts from USA kilts within days. Also notice how all the good reviews seem to be written by their Indian call waiting center...

I ordered two Tartan Skits for my daughter, appears to be GOOD quality, very fast shipping and a FANTASTIC sale price. Scottish Kilt is very helpful in queries and quick to respond.

I am gobsmacked at this kilt, I got Clan Davidson a clan I have ancestral ties to I also hold claim to a
Sottish title Baron of Struan from the Davidson line. I had searched for a affordable kilt and finally found one with this company
Their quality is amazing, the construction is amazing the kilt making skills are brilliant. it is sturdy its well put
together it fits nicely not too tight or loose I am passionate about kilts and wearing kilts I wear one a few times
a week This one will last a long time and the price is right As a claimant to a Scottish Lordship I give my endorsement .

I ordered a kilt from this company, but since they didn't have measuring instructions, I sent in the measurements I use for pants. My fault, but they could have easily posted something on the product page about how to measure for a kilt.

The package I received said that I would get a full refund if I sent it back in its original packaging, which I did, and at my own expense.

Several days later, I received an email stating that I was not entitled to a refund, but that they would give me a 40% discount on a new product. When I received the coupon, but it was for $20. That is NOT a 40% for the item I purchased, which was $100. Let alone the full refund that they originally promised.

I tried calling their support number, but they are ALWAYS CLOSED. They have posted business hours, but apparently they don't pick up the phone.

DO NOT do business with this company. They are dishonest and evasive! I've spent $140 with them, and I literally have NOTHING to show for it.

Ok folks, I am a US Army Veteran and a real customer!

I just recieved my kilt order on time... actually it came EARLY!

The excellent quality Blows the other tactical kilts out there away!
My kilt fits perfectly and so does the hat to go with it!

I purchased there $200 custom kilt and paid the Rush fee as well as the DHL postage fee its here 1 week later!

I dont know why they received bad reviews in the past, but whatever the problem was, they have fixed it!

I wish I had found this site before purchasing from scottishkiltshop.com. I waited 4 weeks before emailing about the status of my order. When that went unanswered, I proceeded to try phone, Live chat through their website, and the email address I found for them through PayPal. No response. Because my event had passed and I purchased elsewhere, I canceled my order through email and THE NEXT DAY they shipped it. Still no response to ANY of the ways I have tried contacting them to make this right. I haven’t even opened the package because I want to return it, so I can’t speak to the quality of the product, but no product is worth dealing with this complete lack of customer service.

Edited to add: The below reply from the shop is THE ONLY non-automated communication I have received from them, despite multiple attempts over the past 10 days to contact them. Perhaps if they’d given me this information when I first reached out, I would have a different opinion of them. However, that this is how I have been able to finally garner their attention speaks volumes as to how much they care about customers vs. money.
