just got my new scribe elan superlightweight 40s – my first full carbon wheelset. they shave off almost 1 kg compared to my previous setup and the difference is insane. the ride feels way more responsive, climbing is easier and they just roll beautifully. super happy with the purchase. best buy i’ve made in a long time. would recommend to anyone, anytime.

Amazing wheels
The wheels are light, quick, aero, they look awesome and they sound incredible. As a heavy rider I have to be careful with any carbon bike part but these have passed every test I've put them through. I'd buy another set of scribe wheels without hesitation

wheels are light but they arent near loud enough... quietest wheelset i have... they flex a bit under heavy sprints too..but all in all a pretty ok wheelset... the appearance and aesthics are friggin great tho... ease of tubeless and tire mount is excellent... dont believe what you hear online about being too loud... quite silent imo... i have set hunts and reynolds that are twice louder.. even zipps are louder... the biggest gripe i have is they have flex under load

When designing wheels, the main driver is performance; The efficiency, strength and robustness of the hubs. We engineer & manufacture every detail with incredible precision, and we're confident that what we have at the core of our wheel assemblies is amongst the best in the industry. With that said, although we want the hubs to sound good, it's essentially an output of the mechanical components; A combination of the ratchets, the seals and resonance through the rim and spokes.
The majority of our customers love how our wheels sound, and we're sorry to hear they aren't to your satisfaction. One thing to bare in mind, a new wheel takes a few hundred km to bed in, a period in which the workshop applied grease disperses, freeing up the mechanical parts, and with that an increase in noise. After this period of time, you feel like they still aren't to your liking, you could consider a lighter viscosity grease or oil; It's worth mentioning, however, you will need to increase the maintenance intervals should you endeavour to apply a lighter lubrication.
In regard the flex under load; This is a surpise and something we've had no feedback of, and something we would like to address. From what I can tell, you haven't been in touch to discuss the issue, and we urge you to make contact. It's very rare that a wheelset would leave us out of spec but there is a chance spoke tension has dropped post tyre install, which in some instances can be up to 15%.

I had a great experience with both the support team and the product. After purchasing the wheelset, I accidentally damaged the rear rim. The replacement support was fast and efficient. What I truly appreciated was the personal contact and the empathy they showed in helping me solve the issue. The 50mm road bike wheels offer excellent value for money. I’m very satisfied with the purchase.

Awesome wheels!
I purchased the inception 50+ wheelset. These wheels are absolutely awesome and the price point can't be beat. They arrived faster than expected. I emailed their service team with some questions about tire sizes and they got back to me very quickly with some great advice. I highly recommend this company and I will be looking to them again soon when it's time to buy some gravel wheels.

On the recommendation of a friend I brought the Core SL 50/60. The whole buying experience was first class and wheels turned up in 7 days across the world to NZ. The moment I started rolling with them, they were fast and felt great! Cannot recommend them enough!

Amazing wheels
I recently purchased the Inception 50+ Disc Carbon wheelset. Absolutely amazing set of wheels from the price, weight and especially the Noise from the free hub. The customer service was amazing nothing was a bother to them. If your looking to upgrade or change use Scribe wheels you definitely won't be disappointed.

Crash replacement after 4.5 years
Super helpful support from Scribe as they honoured the crash replacement guarantee for a carbon wheel that didn’t survive The Gralloch…
Although their record keeping was a bit slack (at least I had the original order details from 2021!) they immediately honoured the guarantee and offered 50% off a new rim. This had to be made to order following changes in their product line up… and allowed me to choose a deeper section rim.
A lead time of 4-6 weeks was quoted - absolutely bang on. Email support was very good, including providing details of the new spoke lengths my LBS will need.
I can’t fault this. Five stars.
