The general experience was good

The general experience was good. The delivery of the sofa was smooth and easy , even tho scs forgot a part of my sofa. The delivery men were very nice, polite , and helpful when I asked about the missing part . But overall ajob well done by Billy and Paulino on delivery.
Have spoke to scs and will see the outcome of the missing piece shortly

Hidden costs for flooring

I ordered carpets and laminate flooring from SCS Bristol Crabbs store and was told it is free fitting. Do NOT believe them. They do not fit laminate flooring you have to get this done independently which they don't tell you. Then when having the carpets fitted they present you with a bill at the end, apparently the fee is deducted of your order which again you don't get told about. It also costs more than the so called deduction. Then you find the doors all need shaving an additional charge.

Ripped off by SCS Watford

We purchased a carpet for stairs, landing and all of our bedrooms in January of this year. We didn't have much money due to the cost of moving etc but SCS recommended this carpet which is supposed to being hard wearing and value for money.

Anyway with a few weeks the carpet started molting, yes losing all of it fibre's. We thought it was because it was new but it didn't stop.

It now looks so appauling, going bald and bobbling everywhere.

We first contacted SCS Watford re the complain and they asked for photos which we sent.

They said that it was an environment issue and not down to them. Then we complained again and demanded a home visit which they sent a surveyer who did not complete the form correctly at all and did not even write his recommendation. SCS then sent the photos and this report to manufactures and then to 'management' and now they've said that it is not to do with them nor the manufacturer.

They have basically closed the complaint.

With the soaring cost of living there is no way we could possibly replace the carpet, this carpet should have lasted us for years like the last hard wearing carpet we had.

Now the carpet is so bad I don't know what to do. I feel so utterly let down and ripped off by this dodgy company. They don't seem to understand the impact this is having on our lives, and that of my children.

Please if anyone could help it would be so appreciated

Don't bother getting a carpet fitted…

Don't bother getting a carpet fitted by these clowns. I was at work and my wife stayed home while the fitters put the carpet in. After they left she found rolled up off cuts and waste dumped in the upstairs toilet and bedrooms. Place was a tip.

Brilliant experience

My experience with scs was brilliant from Omars product knowledge and enthusiam in the Fosse Park showroom to Nick and Steve who delivered the sofas quickly on time and kept me in the loop where they were. I would definitely shop with them again

Terrible Customer Service

Ordering in the store was good.
Delivery was good, albeit the plug on the sofa recliner was damaged & is to be replaced HOWEVER, the web site to check regarding the delivery time failed to acknowledge my order & a call to the alternative number provided (0191 731 3300) only got me through to someone who seemingly had no knowledge of the English language other than to sniff & laugh when I asked if he was there!!!

Time will tell if the replacement part turns up but I, for one, will never use SCS again

My advice, don’t use SCS, if anything goes wrong you need to be able to engage in a conversation with someone, not listen to them sniffing & laughing down the phone!!!!

Sofas delivered, don’t care it took as long as it did as they look fab! Conner and Jason were very helpful in putting it all together and leaving my house the way they found it.

Free fitting don’t think so

Went to SCS showroom identified the carpet we liked. Came out measure up and gave us a price for the carpet and underlay. We were also told we would have to pay the carpet fitter fitter direct an addition just over £80. Splashed all over their website is free fitting on all carpets. Saw exactly the same carpet at a different retailer £140 cheaper fitting included. This company does not even know what they selling and what they are quoting. So comical!!!

Excellent service from the beginning…

Excellent service from the beginning delivery arrived on time and the 2 gentleman where very helpful and delivered the sofas exactly where I needed them. The details on the card from the delivery gentleman is as follows. SDC- 252-246 D - Hagar and S- Ditch. Thank you for the great service

Great service

Ordered suite in August 21, expected delivery was December. There was a number of delays due to the lack of containers. Frustrating but we understood that the issue was beyond SCS control. We were kept informed.
The suite has arrived today 11 Jan 22. Its was well packed. Delivered within the scheduled time slot. Just as lovely as when we saw it in the showroom. Delivery drivers Steve and Davy did a great job getting the furniture in to the house, which is quite awkward, and had it built within minutes (many thanks)

Avoid SCS at all costs. Failure to deliver as promised. Awful, rude customer service. Resolution process is inept!!! Do not use!!!

I have had my lounge/dining room carpet…

I have had my lounge/dining room carpet replaced 4 times, all faulty including the 4th. I have had my bedroom carpet replaced 3 times all faulty. In all 7 cases the carpets were assessed by SCS who agreed they were all faulty. Service was appalling, aftercare none existent. I have never dealt with such a poor company in all aspects. They have refused to do anything about my lounge/dining room carpet (it is a few years old now) but has had a manufacture defect since fitted, stupidly I did not complain about it as I was so fed up with moving furniture 4 times. They have now told me that they have to collect my old bedroom carpet before they can refund so now I will be without a carpet for 6 weeks whilst a new supplier orders a replacement. I would not even award them one star. Buy your carpets from a reputable company and avoid the misery!

Absolutely useless.

Absolutely useless.
Originally the carpet was beautiful, but then we noticed it began to matt and had fibres sticking up.
Almost a year after fitting the carpet looked disgusting. An "independent" inspector found no fault.
I challenged this and another inspector came and found a fault.
We went into store to pick out a new carpet everything was fine.
Four failed fittings later and I'm still left with disgusting carpet and no apologies from SCS.
Firstly they had our details incorrect, secondly they booked it in with a fitter that doesn't cover my area, thirdly apparently the fitters van broke down and now on the fourth attempt, the carpet had been the wrong size the whole time!
No explanation, no apologies and no remedy!
Avoid!!! Would definitely not recommend!!!

I had to rearrange all of my plans for my wedding preparations as the carpet was not fitted before then, I have sat in and wasted days for no shows and I've been without living room furniture for over a month, due to having to empty the room!
