Ordered a leather jacket. Was really pleased when it arrived. Good quality and size. Would definitely buy from Sculpt again.

It would seem there are no issues if you are happy with your purchase.

Disappointingly poor return policy and frustrating refund chasing. There are a number of reviews with similar/same experience regarding returns and refunds. My advice is only purchase if you are prepared to be very patient IF you would like to return item(s) and be out of pocket for doing so and to also be prepared for the likelihood of escalating a refund dispute.

Note - This was originally posted by my partner but SLJ had it taken down as the order was in my name (despite providing the order number and communication proof) here it is again.

It seems that some people on here have had no issues with these guys and I think if you are buying one jacket and the measurements are right I can see that being the case, but as soon as you complicate things and need to have some customer service, it goes downhill FAST.

To be clear this review is for the UK version of the site.

Ordered 3 jackets (2 woman's, 1 men's) and leather balm after carefully measuring against measurements provided online. After the initial order confirmation, no information about delivery, timings or anything.
Cut to later the following week, send an email asking what is happening. Get a reply (about 6 hours later) 'Your order is already dispatched you will receive it by tomorrow'. Ok, that seems fine. Tomorrow comes and 1 jacket arrives (it was sent next day after my email to them but before they replied...). Try it on and it is a full 5 inches smaller than advertised (XL is described as size 16, held against a jacket bought elsewhere and the difference was huge).
No news at all on the other items. We ask how to return, answer: at your own cost PLUS £10 less to be refunded due to 'cost'. Oh and you have to do it in 10 days of it being sent (despite the rest of the order not yet arriving and no idea when it will be).
Next day an email sent to ask where the rest of the order is. Reply that one jacket is 'ready to dispatch...receive by Monday'.
Monday comes and a different jacket shows up (we were told the other woman's but the men's came) no biggy really and this time we decided to keep the jacket (we note again that the send time, which is clear on the postage is after our email but before theirs...). Continued silence on the rest of the order.
In the meantime, we return the first jacket. No confirmation that it has been received so we chase (we know it arrived as we sent tracked). Confirmation that it has arrived and that the refund should be next business day (still not received).
Chase on the third jacket, 'already dispatched' (why yes it was, 1 hour before you sent the reply). It comes today and same issue as first, measurements are way off.
So here we are, still waiting on a refund for the first item (knowing £20 down the drain in postage and 'fees'), knowing we are going to lose the same returning the third item (and spend ages chasing until we get everything sorted). Plus through all this, nothing about the leather balm. Never mentioned in any emails or included in any of the three packages.
If you decide to use these guys I understand, the prices look fair and the items look nice, and to be fair the jackets do look nice. But the measurements online are so wrong that you can't be sure what you order will fit. And if you do need to talk to someone...good luck.

Edit - we did eventually get full refunds on both jackets. But this only happened after we threatened to report to the ombudsman.

Edit 2 - SLJ have replied to my review...9 months later... we were never told about any 'fire' and communication appears to come from a residential address in North London (this is also where you return the jackets to). I was upfront in my first edit that we did eventually get our money back (after threatening to report them). Either they have replied to the wrong review or it looks like they have made up some sob story long after the incident. I stick by my review.

I wore my £200 sculpt leather jacket 3 times when the zip went! Because I'd kept it for best I emailed sculpt customer support and told them asking for a new jacket or at least have a new zip fitted, I have since emailed again on 11/6 but have not had the courtesy of a response!!!

I ordered a jacket from sculpt - which took weeks to arrive. It didn't fit so I asked for a refund, which was declined and I was told they would send a replacement of I sent my measurements. So far so good. Then - nothing. Weeks go by, I have to constantly chase for updates and, most of the time, didn't get any response. By this time its 3 months later. I finally get a response and was promised a refund, which would be processed in 2-3 working days. Well, 11 days later - no refund. Absolutely shocking and terrible service. Not to mention the fact I've paid for something I never received and they still have my money. I have bought softer leather jackets from Mango and Zara that have been almost half the price of what I paid. I have never had to give a scathing review before but I would not recommend buying from this company.

*update* since posting this review I am yet to receive my refund - several weeks later. Each time in told it will be 2-3 working days. Still no refund. Absolutely awful.

Please can you contact me directly to confirm which account you're refunding my money to as it's been so long since I paid I can't remember. Also shocked to see your automated responses to your reviews. That says it all

Absolutely trash!!! The quality is the most terrible, like bad Chinese quality from Aliexpress. This individs are delivering from home in London, they do not have a factory or shop or even an office. They did not answering emails. Do not have a phone number on the website. We called the number that we found on the label from DPD. The man just shut the phone. So, to receive our money back, we have contacted paypal. After sending this stupid jacket in Melbourne, Australia- this was their registered addressed. The address was wrong by the way...we saw it on tracking. Finally we have received money back from paypal. Absolutely trash!!! Disgusting!!

I needed a replacement for a yellow jacket I had bought in Italy and had fallen apart. I didn't think I would find it anywhere. When the Sculpt site came up, based in Melbourne, I was excited but didn't see exactly what I wanted - until I delved into the colours available for other styles. I found one even better than what it was to replace, with zips and pockets where I needed them for riding my Vespa, and the added advantage of a buckle closure at the neck to keep the cold out.
I checked 3rd party review sites to see that it was legit, and placed my order during the CoVid lockdown. A nervous wait ensued when I hadn't heard anything, and I feared the worst, although the jacket (which I expect was made to order) was duly delivered and has exceeded all expectations and hopes. A cool and damp summer has meant that it has had almost daily use for three months, and is perfect. I have lost weight and had ordered a larger size to be on the safe side, and to ensure that it fitted over winter clothes, but am very tempted to order another in a smaller size as well, as it is an exceptional item. Well made, I must recommend these jackets to anyone interested. Delivery was a little slower than I had hoped, however, that faded into insignificance onnce I had the item!

Fabulous jacket and great service. I bought a biker jacket for my daughter’s 13th birthday but became concerned that it hadn’t been dispatched. I emailed the company who responded pretty much immediately and explained that orders were taking longer due to Covid restrictions. Once they realised it was a gift they were really lovely and promised to prioritise it so she wouldn’t be disappointed, keeping me updated. As promised the jacket arrived in time ☺️
