rip off

I bought 2 tickets for il divo concent on line and paid €137 per ticket. As they were a gift for someone I did not check them until the day of the concert when they invited me as their guest. When I looked at the tickets as we were entering the venue, I discovered that the ticket value per ticket was only €30 each.

Prices of resale tickets not acceptable

Bought tickets for Beyonce. Tickets arrived within a number of days with no problems.
Tickets for other concerts previously looked at up to 3 times the face value which is unacceptable.

Thank you for your review and I’m sorry if there’s been any confusion.

The prices of tickets are set by their seller and this can vary depending on supply and demand for the event – meaning prices can be higher or lower than the face value printed on the ticket.

The face value is also shown during the checkout process – if you’re booking over the phone our Customer Service representatives will be happy to confirm this information for you.

If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

Security when buying from seatwave

My experience with seatwave was excellent , I bought 2 tickets for a gig in Dublin . I received an email and tracking number confirming the seller had sent the tickets, but they never arrived, tracking number was valid but couldn't be tracked so I contacted seatwave and within a day the issue was sorted and I had my tickets 3 days later . Turns out the seller had registered the post but not sent it. Lucky enough seatwave do not pay the seller until the gig is over and they contact the buyer to confirm everything was OK. This is huge peace of mind especially when paying out alot of money for tickets I highly recommend using this company

Tickets appearing 3 times face value

just an easier way to ticket tout. They no longer need to leave the house to rip off people. How can so called sold out gig tickets appear on seatwave 15 mins later. disgusting and will never give in to online touting

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!

I paid 5 times the price of the ticket as I accidently came on to this site. When the ticket came the price I thought I was paying was on the ticket. The customer service was appalling. All I can say is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Very expensive tickets - never again

Purchase process and delivery was efficient but the price of the tickets I bought were much more than the face value. I bought in a hurry - won't do that again.

Brilliant

I have only had good experiences with Seatwave. Any and all tickets I have purchased on the site have arrived well before the date of the event and all have been legitimate tickets. It is an experience as of the same standard at buying tickets first hand; hassle free and convenient. Albeit somewhat more expensive because of the independent sellers! My only complaint would be that 12.99 for delivery is a bit steep considering the circumstances, but other than that its a great venture.

Prices are ridiculous

Tickets are usually expensive enough on the regular ticketmaster site but the seatwave prices are completely ridiculous. I will never buy off this site again. The tickets I bought were only about €60 euro face value but I paid over €420 for two tickets - the reason I bought them was because my daughter who is 14 lost her dad not so long ago and was going through such a hard time. It was coming up to Christmas but she was so distraught and sad that there were no tickets left on ticketmaster for her absolute idol (Troye Sivan), a little known youtube artist from Australia. I felt there would be little chance of seeing him again and even considered travelling to his London concert which would have cost less overall including flights and accommodation! In the end I bought the tickets on seatwave and presented them to her for Christmas. It was so worth it to see the absolute joy on her face, after which she cried uncontrollably. The thought of that concert coming up thankfully kept her going through very dark times for almost five months so really €420 was a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things, but that's no excuse for ripping people off with your prices

Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback.

The prices of tickets are set by their individual seller at the price they want to sell the ticket for. Sellers will often compete with each other to sell their tickets – so you can take advantage of the best price at the time of purchase.

We always display the face value during the checkout process so you can make an informed decision.

Awesome company and great show!

I wanted to go see a Nickelback show in Ireland. I booked through seat wave and received tickets from Ireland a few weeks later no problem. The tickets were in a great area and the show was awesome! I would use this company again.

Outrageous prices and unsatisfactory response

I bought 2 tickets to Grace Jones in Dublin in late September .when I got my statement and checked, I was charged 162 euros per ticket plus a 59 euro processing fee- a total of 389 euro for 2 tickets. Outrageous and completely unacceptable for unallocated seats in the very top balcony. This is even more ludicrous for a concert that still had tickets available the day of the show. The proper ticket price was about 50 euro.

When I queried this I was told it was not a mistake, seat wave had no control and I would have been told the price before I authorised payment. I was certainly not aware of being advised of the total price when I paid by credit card over a mobile phone or I most certainly would not have bought tickets at that price . Very unsatusfied.

THIEVES. Seatwave / Ticketmaster link is an absolute SCAM. NEVERAGAIN!

First and LAST experience with Seatwave / Ticketmaster, the whole system is an absolute rip-off scam. No repeat business from this family.

Ticketmaster holds release of tickets to drive customers to Seatwave to be SCAMMED only to see the face value tickets being released by Ticketmaster an hour later.

I only need to be learn this lesson once. DONE!

Dear Tim,

Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback.

As we’re a ticket resale website we provide a secure platform for people to sell on their tickets, so the price is set by sellers depending on how much they want to receive per ticket.

On occasion Ticketmaster may offer customers the option to visit Seatwave when the tickets you are searching for aren’t available or the event is sold out entirely. When you click on the link it then shows that you are being redirected to the Seatwave website and also explains that tickets may vary from the face value - we also always show the face value during the checkout process.

Often further tickets can be released to the primary market, but we don't have control over this.

If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

Coup!

I had told friends that I'd manage to get tickets to see sold out Paul Heaton gig by hook or by crook. I was thrilled to get 4 tickets together for not much more than face value & they were impressed too. I didn't tell them the secret that Seatwave makes it very easy!

ludicrous prices

If someone wants to sell a ticket for whatever reason it should be capped at the value at which it was originally purchased, and only then a service charge on top, ridiculous way of letting people exploit others for unfair prices
