I have a fixed rate Cash ISA maturing soon and Secure Trust Bank invited me to keep my funds with them. The only problem? The rates that they offered to stay were inferior to those for new customers. A common rip off practice amongst banks and FI's that should be banned but won't be. Example. 2 year fixed rate Cash ISA (Secure Trust do not currently offer a 1 year fixed rate Cash ISA on their website) for brand new customers = 4.17% but for loyal customers that rate is 4%. Oh and they make it tough to move on as well as you have to wait for the existing account to mature and be moved into a new account before you can begin the transfer process thus it is inevitable that a few days interest will be lost. Very sneaky and underhand tactics. Even if it means losing a few pounds of interest, I will move on and try to find a more ethical and customer focussed savings institution. It is a never ending search.

Very easy to navigate the website - some sites are not easily accessible. Good rates and easy to withdraw funds or reinvest. Felt the webpage was secure and something I could trust.

Excessive fees and horrible customer service. I set up a solo 401k with Secure Trust and it was one of the most frustrating experiences of the year. Over a 6 month period, they charged me almost $1k in admin fees. I terminated my plan and went with Fidelity who offers a no cost solo 401k and great customer service.

We wanted close a savings account and I requested this online. It required authorization by the other account holder. When she attempted this online It appeared to have worked. A few days later we had not received any money so I phoned up. It seems the system was still awaiting authorization but the website was not showing the item as requiring authorization so we could not authorise it. This is a clear bug.
The person I spoke to was able to help us around this but the process was agonising because of his unclear speech. He seemed to gabble and did not pronounce all parts of all words. His rhythm was also odd. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times but he did not adjust his speech to help me.
UPDATE
The person I spoke to with unclear speech was called Ahmed.
My name is Matthew Leitch and Secure Trust Bank knows this. Somehow, on Trust Pilot I have become Stephanie Leitch (my late mother and once a customer of the bank). Sadly it's another system bug.
