Helpful and friendly but ignored the pain
Tandlægerne på Østerbro were recommended to my by a colleague who was very happy about the service. After seeing all great opinions online I thought it is the best match for me. My tooth started hurting almost 2 weeks back while being on holidays in Spain where I got it open and taken care of until I was back in DK. 8 days later I got an appointment here for reopening and cleaning the tooth and preparing for soon to be made root canal treatment. Everything went well, the clinic is very modern and sparkling clean, the doctor and personnel were very nice, explaining everything and doing their best not to cause me any pain. I went home very happy and satisfied. However 3 days after my tooth started hurting to a degree that painkillers didnt help any longer and the tooth changed color to light gray. I couldn't sleep at night and it hurted the entire next day. I first called the clinic the morning after, asking for help and opening the tooth again to remove the pain and pressure. I got prescribed Penicillin (I also got that in Spain for a week) and was told to take it without coming to open the tooth. After half a day I called 3 more times almost crying, saying that I cannot stay the pain any longer (14:00) but the receptionist told me I have to listen to the doc, take the meds and it will be better and I could call the next day.. In the evening the pain became to strong that I couldn't feel part of my face and had to call for 'akut tandlæge'.. I got very dissapointed that the clinic claiming 'Vi finder altid en akut tid til dig' did not take my pain 'akut' enough to help me after calling so many times. I'm not a drama person but when I am at the stage when I can't stop crying because of pain it means that something is really wrong and hearing that the Penicillin will start working within few days doesn't take the pain away... Felt like lack of empathy and understanding, especially that I wasn't asking for 1hour time for special treatment but just to open the extremely painful tooth which takes max 15 min as last time.
I add one more star for the Doctor's call today and empathic check up on how am I feeling, if I got help and offering help in the clinic in the future. I believe the personnel is doing their best to satisfy their customers/patients and that was only one time misreading of the situation.

We are so sorry to hear how much pain you have had from the tooth. We always try to give all our patients the best treatment, care and service as possible, but unfortunately, we are also just humans, and in your case, we misread the situation. We are incredible sorry for that. No person or especially patient of ours should go around with a pain like the one you described.
We cannot go back in time and change things, but on behalf of your feedback, we can and already have evaluated the situation. We have now started a procedure that should enable us to make sure that this will not happen again.
As we told you on the phone, we will do anything to make you to a happy patient of ours again, and we do hope, that you, despite this unfortunately experience, will entrust us again.
We will send you flowers and our sincere apology as a sign of our deepest regrets that we did not live up to your expectations.

The best I've ever experienced
This is the best dentist studio I've ever experienced.
I've encountered professionalism and high level of service.
Slightly more pricey than the average but it is something you don't want to compromise on.

Best dental care in my life!
Today I was helped by Anna, Nanna, and Betina. They were very professional, considerate, and did a great job!
Dental care is expensive in Denmark, but several dentists in my home country did not treat some of my tooth problems properly. Having that said, I am relieved that my problems have finally been fixed at Tandlægerne På Frederiksberg.
My advice for foreigners staying for a longer time in Copenhagen, and especially CBS students studying nearby:
Get additional private health care insurance: Sygeforsikringen ”danmark”, it helps lowering dental care costs a bit.
Go to Tandlægerne På Frederiksberg and let your teeth be treated by the most qualified people.
