It is super shady that they are asking for my HMRC gateway login details. It clearly says on the HMRC to NEVER share these details.
I have 2FA enabled on the account so risked it.. submission did something though I can't view any change on HMRC. I changed my password afterwards to be sure. BaseTax never asked for my login details.
I had to submit via third party since HMRC did not provide an option for residence, remittance basis etc.
It was easy and cheap
Worked perfectly for me the first time I submitted my return, though I was sure of my gov gateway ID and password. Really useful service for a great price. Thank you for offering it. I personally would much prefer to submit a return direct to HMRC, but since they no longer allow businesses like mine to do so, this was the next best thing.
Would not submit to HMRC despite HOURS of going round the houses checking UTR's, Gateway ID, passwords. After some very lazy 'help', they suggested I pay them more money to use an enhanced service. I know the details were correct, and feel I was being ripped off. I refuse to pay extra. Rip-off.
