After more than two years of our concerns being ignored, finding this advocacy service was a complete turning point. Torii has been incredible—not only she did secure the exam arrangements my daughter needed, but her communication is outstanding. She responds so quickly and kept us updated every step of the way, which gave us such peace of mind after feeling so invisible for so long.
In a world where families often feel they are fighting the system alone, Torii truly listens and acts. I cannot recommend Send Empowerment highly enough.

Anna M from Send empowerment has been so helpful when trying to get the right legal support in place for my child (via an EHCP). Having her work with us and having her listen to me has been such a relief in a journey that has been stressful and overwhelming. She has given great advice that the local authority adhered to in order to make the EHCP more legally compliant and she has given me both verbal and written advice that I have then been able to take forward. Anna enabled me to be a better advocate for my son, which is so important to me. Knowing that this company picked up my referral offered me immediate relief that I was not in this ‘fight’ alone and that someone was genuinely listening. Being able to access this support for free as well was so helpful when money is tight- it meant I didn’t have to choose between debt and supporting my son properly

I was a little wary about using Send Empowerment because not one of the many MANY services I’ve tried to access to get support for my SEND children and myself, sign posted to them. I’m very glad I did access their service though. Anna was amazingly helpful and so understanding. I’ll be informing all the other services to sign post to them. Thank you again Anna

Very helpful, came back to me super quick and took out all the stress of a very stressful process. Felt very supported and they explained very clearly all the information provided to me. An absolute tower of strength. Cannot thank them enough

Marnie was a huge support when I was applying for my child's EHCP myself. She replied to me quickly, read over my letter and put my mind at rest when I was unsure of a few "myths" about what I should and shouldn't do/say. She gave me clear and concise guidance which gave me the confidence to do what I needed to do. My child got granted an EHCP soon afterwards. We are very grateful.

Tori and Marnie have been brilliant. They have helped answer endless questions and given me reassurance and advice on matters relating to my child's EHCP and education provision in general. They respond quickly and have always been friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. They looked through the EHCP (section F) and made notes on everything that was amiss. The fact the EHCP document can be sent off straight away to the LA and/or mediator with the annotations, makes it even more useful. This saved me so much time, and as my life seems to be consumed by this process and my child's conditions at the moment, it really means a great deal. It is nice to finally receive support from somewhere!

SEND Empowerment got back to me the same day when I explained I had an upcoming meeting with the LA in just a few days. They were really understanding of the urgency and helped me get clear on what I needed to prepare for the meeting, including what evidence would be helpful to have.

Anna was so lovely and warm, and after a really stressful period she helped me feel calmer, clearer, and more empowered again. I’m very grateful for the support and reassurance at a time when I really needed it.

Poor and rude admin staff. They asked you to explain what you need help with. Send in a huge amount of information. Then then ask who you have had help from previously. They don’t ask if you have help from anyone CURRENTLY.

I responded with “ Hi,

As I said, I sometimes pay for support from private SEND advocates (when I can afford to, which isn’t often). For example, “xxxxxx”.

I sometimes have support from xxx but it’s not consistent.”

And this is the response from them -
“ Unfortunately, as an independent advocacy service we cannot advise on the same case as other advocates due to conflict of interest. You will also find other services have the same policy, so conflict doesn't arise. ”

So if you’ve used anyone else in the past, you can’t use this advocacy. Apparently. From my email it’s clear I’m not engaged with any other advocacy currently.

I saw Send Empowerment on Facebook at a differcult time for me communicating my child's needs with the school senco. I emailed and received support, listening to me and providing me a formal individual draft letter to give to the school which along with a meeting with senco has resulted in communication and support being put in place for her. I recommend Send Empowerment to others and would not hesitate to reach out to them again further down our Send journey regarding supporting me advocate for my child to ensure they get the support they need to meet their full potential. Send Empowerment appeared in my facebook timeline at the perfect time. I was trying to review my daughter's draft ehcp and feeling completely overwhelmed. I first used their free checklist to work through the sections and made several additions that were missing from the LA's draft document. I then asked them to review section f as I felt what the LA had sent over was too vague and didn't use SMART objectives. They very very quickly reviewed the document and came back to me with annotated notes on the language and points within this section that weren't compliant, weren't enforceable and the relevant laws and obligations they should meet. I then felt confident in pushing back to the LA. The LA unfortunately are ignoring this so we're going to appeal but just having the feedback from one of the send advocates that I was right to question and push back gave me the confidence I needed. I've already recommended their services to others and I'm sure I will be reaching out to them again. Thank you so much for giving me the confidence to make changes, knowing what changes I needed to make and empowering me to challenge the LA.

Marnie's help has been invaluable, Our EHCP was double over timeframe that should be met.
Without the help of Marnie we would be no further along in that process.
Instead our case was expedited and Marnie has helped to get wording/timings correct on the draft, and final copy was in place in time for when my daughter started primary school at the beginning of September, this would not have been the case without Marnie's help!

Marnie is absolutely incredible! 🥰 I would like to start by saying over the past few weeks Marnie has completely saved my sanity! With two EHCP's due for amendments days apart Marnie managed to support me with BOTH!! I’ve been able to reach out to her at all different times of the day with questions (even ones that might seem obvious), and she has always replied with patience, kindness, and genuine care. Her support has made such a positive difference in my life — and the fact that this amazing service is completely free makes it even more special. I reached out for help reviewing my sons ehcp draft and marnie was absolutely amazing she gave me everything i needed to go back to the LA and help get my child the needed support, she was fast, knowledgeable and so kind. I would highly recommend
