Sesame is the BEST. Far better than an in-person Doctor’s visit for routine prescriptions or inquiries. Dr. Okeke is highly recommended. Very pleasant and helpful. We’ve used him several times for... See more

I did not have time to wait for an appointment with my general Practitioner so I chose Sesamecare for the convenience and the availability. My Dr was personable and very helpful, I did have to get labs to make sure my prescription could be filled. This seemed like a hassle but in retrospect I felt like this was good for my own knowledge and made me trust the Dr even more. I can recommend Sesamecare for convienence, efficiency and safety/care of the provider I was paired with. More than happy and my prescription is working so I am following up with my Dr here when I am done with the prescription.

My first time using Sesame and I am so grateful for Juan! He was very caring and really listened to all of my concerns. He also helped me come up with a plan for care keeping in mind that I don't have health insurance and keeping things affordable. Furthermore I booked my appointment only an hour beforehand after a prior appointment with a different doctor was canceled last minute. Given my great experience I plan to keep Juan as my primary care person! I wish that I could give more than five stars !

Buyer Beware! I thought this was like Hone. I paid the 59.00 and met w/a doctor who then wanted me to give her my last breast exam results before giving me a prescription. Was not planning to test me first to see where my hormone levels were, was just going to give me a hormone prescription. I was only expecting to be charged when I had my next visit which I did not b/c I was not yet able to get my breast exam documentation and they charged me again for 59. I called and asked for it to be refunded and they said No. Should've just went directly to Hone.

I like the doctor, I also like the fact that I didn’t have to go to an urgent care. The doctor sent in a prescription to the pharmacy and it was ready right away.

The provider was very informative. She explained exactly what treatment she recommended. She was very kind. She answered all of my questions and concerns. She was more thorough and attentive than an in person visit. Highly recommend her 10/10

My local doctors office would have charged me $150 for a visit with no insurance. Sesame did it for $40. I tried finding another doctor in my town. After making an appointment with them a month away, they canceled the day before with no reason. Sesame took me same day.

I liked that I was able to see a doctor from the comfort of my own home. I didn't have to get out of bed, get dressed, drive (while my equilibrium was off), wait in a waiting room, and get on a scale unnecessarily just to wait another 10-15 minutes + to see someone and answer the same questions repeatedly. I saw my doctor within 5 minutes of my scheduled appt. I like that the cost of the visit was disclosed when I was choosing my doctor. Which is great because I paid 1/3 for the cost I would have paid weeks later and after insurance. Very affordable. The only slightly constructive criticism I would say is that in the beginning u wasn't asked about insurance (which was fine to me - as I wasn't planning on using my useless insurance anyway), but when I went back to the app to look at my visit summary there was a spot for insurance/hsa. That might be beneficial to clear that up. I would and will be using this app again and will referring people as soon as I have my voice back.

I scheduled an appointment for a note that I needed. I put all the information into my chart prior so he could review my documentation. The doctor did not bother to review any of my information prior to appointment. He did not login to appointment until 10 to 15 minutes after it was scheduled. He informed me he would not be able to provide the type of Medical Necessity note that I needed. This was after I had to once again explained what it would be since he ignored the supplemental documents I had included. Why didn’t he read what was put in the chart prior to the appointment? I can’t say, but had he maybe this all could’ve been avoided. He obviously had not read one piece if information I took the time to include. He said he would flag the appointment and have it refunded. He never bothered to do so. I have reached out to Sesame Care multiple times now for a refund and have yet to get it. It is now officially been seven days since my appointment, they have been not able to contact the doctor to get it resolved, he has not bothered to respond. He clearly has the ability to respond when he is going to get paid for an appointment so that’s interesting. Also, just so you know, the doctor’s name is Dr. Bilawal Ahmed. Sesame care has told me for the second time this week to give them 24-48 hours and they will reach back out to me so that’s where I am right now. I will never use the service again and I don’t recommend anybody else use it. This has been my honest experience with the site. I definitely do not recommend using this doctor on that platform because he clearly cannot respond to Sesame and he clearly does not read notes prior to appointments and is not reliable and cannot be on time nor be counted on to follow proper protocols so I wouldn’t want him as my doctor on an online platform or where he locally be practices in San Luis Obispo Ca. One thing I do know for sure is if something is to go wrong and your appointment is canceled or needs to be refunded for any reason, the staff cannot issue a refund without talking with the physician who they can’t get in touch with so if there is a problem that arises they’re not able to resolve it in a timely manner or at all. I will keep you updated.

Juan Fernandez (APRN) helped me with my MRI referral. He was kind and supportive. If I have any future needs, I will book another appointment with him.

Stormy is really sweet, kind, and compassionate. She helped me swiftly with my UTI, and I’m so relieved to have been able to see someone so quickly and affordably. Thank you thank you!

Customer service is terrible and they give wrong information. The chat support is bad as well and very difficult to get a correct answer. There is no live support, just a chat box, then you are then answered via email sometimes within in hours or the next day. The labs are very difficult to order and it's not streamline. I clicked on everything, called and it took me nearly 4-5 customer service reps to finally get them order after being told I was able to go outside of sesame and get reimbursed for my labs, but that was not the case. Otherwise the ease of getting prescriptions filled are good.

It was quick and easy to book the doctor appointment and I got the prescription I needed quickly! Highly recommend, and I don’t even have insurance so it was very affordable.

I liked that the appt was fast and efficient. I only got information about the medication I requested and that was it.

Sesame is a dangerous platform for anyone needing time-sensitive medical care. In one morning, I was failed by two separate providers while trying to secure a bridge for a critical medical procedure. The first, Shola Akinfiresoye, was a complete no-show. The second, Dr. Tawfeek, was late, admitted to reading my intake notes (which explicitly stated the reason for the visit), and then waited until the paid session started to say he "couldn't help."
This platform allows doctors to "bait and switch" patients—collecting fees for appointments they have no intention of fulfilling. There is no screening process to prevent doctors from taking money for cases they won't treat. If you are in a high-stakes medical situation, do not trust this platform. It is a predatory waste of time and money.
