Extremely poor service
Extremely poor service – careless delivery and no accountability
Our experience with SGK Distribution has been extremely disappointing, and I would struggle to recommend them to anyone.
Following a furniture delivery, our carpet was left with chewing gum and dirt stains, clearly resulting from the delivery team’s lack of care and attention while carrying out their work.
Accidents can happen, but what really makes this experience so unacceptable is the way SGK subsequently handled the situation. Rather than taking responsibility and making any genuine effort to resolve the problem, they simply denied responsibility for the damage.
We were left having to pursue the matter ourselves, despite the damage occurring during their delivery team’s visit.
A delivery company should understand that they are entering someone’s home and should treat the property with care and respect. Unfortunately, that was certainly not our experience.
The damage to our carpet was bad enough, but the complete lack of accountability afterwards was even more disappointing. They have refused any liability and will not even pay for our carpets to be cleaned.
In our opinion, this is a very poor standard of service, both in terms of delivery care and customer service. We would not use SGK Distribution again and certainly would not recommend them.

Some good and bad
Communication was good leading up to delivery, with an email to confirm delivery date and time slot or could select another date & time. However on the day of delivery the tracking didn’t update during the time slot and by the end of the time slot my delivery hadn’t arrived. I was able to call them and got through straight away which was great, was then told they were delayed about 1.5 hours but then still didn’t arrive in that time. Called again told a further hour. The delivery driver ran me 2 hours after the end of the original time slot to say he was 30 minutes away an hour later he still hadn’t arrive! Delivery was eventually made nearly 3.5 hours after the end of the original time. Delivery men were polite and no issues with their delivery just disappointed given that communication started so well that it didn’t continue that way and that delivery wasn’t made on time.

Delivery arrived in timescale expected…
Delivery arrived in timescale expected and the delivery driver rang 15 minutes prior to arriving, so cannot fault the service, however, dropping stars because one of the delivery team was not very polite, dont know if he was having a bad day, but no please or thank you, not even for the assistance I gave him carrying the artifical grass from the van in the pouring rain. The other guy however was much more amicable.

Accommodating delivery
Received an email asking to confirm delivery slot, which isn't always an option with many couriers. Unfortunately, the date given coincided with a funeral. I declined the proposed date and messaged to ask if this could be moved. SGK were unable to guarantee but did move this to the following day. I'd received notifications of arrival window and the item was delivered without issue.
