Presently, Shaws operates 15 stores in the main provincial towns of Ireland and employs almost 1000 people. Poor customer service

Delivery promt.But was sent wrong size , rang shaws to hold right size, drove in especially. They wouldn't do direct swap. Only would return dress which refund would take 5 days and I would have to buy the dress again and the sale was over so it was back up to full price. Ridiculous offering online but you can't do a exchange/size swap in store and it was there fault as they sent the wrong dress.

Efficient service

I met a lady called Sharon who works in Lingerie Department in Shaws of Drogheda. She did a bra fitting for me. She was very helpful and I got what I needed - She was a pleasant and professional assistant and I would advise my sisters and daughters of this efficient service.

Asked a assistant for help with an item and she grunted at me, I find staff overall in the men's department have very poor customer service.

What made the five stars was Sheila who…

What made the five stars was Sheila who had a wonderful approach and solution to my problem and the staff member in the cosmetics department who put me in touch with her. I give a one star to both the process to contact Shaws by phone and the internal feedback form. The telephone number on the website is not operational. Very frustrating.
The internal feedback form states after one has assigned stars that the stars are for staff cooperation. This is useless because if one is frustrated with the process of contacting staff one cannot express it. I gave a one star on the internal feedback form before reading the star was for staff. I spent over two hours on the web and telephone before I could reach Sheila who promptly solved my problem and I have the missing item this morning. One can have wonderful staff but antiquated or non existent contact processes. Please streamline your processes to protect your staff from built up frustration in trying to connect with you. CAB.

Recently bought the duck feather 13.5…

Recently bought the duck feather 13.5 tog duvet.. it’s awful.. I saved up for these,I bought single,double and superking and they only on the bed 4days and the feathers are poking out, the duvet is very noisy.. waste of my money😔 no wonder they were on sale they ain’t worth it

Staff going that extra mile

Having visited Lingerie department today,I was very happy with way the members of staff treated me. Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly and experienced ,both ladies made my visit seamless,and I bought exactly what I needed.

Visit 29/08/25

Visited Shaws in Waterford on 29/08/25. Lovely store & lovely staff. Had a tasty scone & coffee. When I needed to use the loo, I was given a code to a door on the ground floor. As soon as I opened it, the most disgusting smell nearly overwhelmed me. All the surfaces were filthy & the roll of toilet paper was stained with brown bits. I turned on my heel & left immediately. What a pity to get this small but important detail so so wrong.

Acces to the back of shaws is hard to…

Acces to the back of shaws waterford is hard to negotiate . A large BPerfect stand just inside the door is hard to get around. Being disabled, I use a mobility scooter. It’s like this store doesn’t want disabled people or parents with twin buggies. Who thought this was a good idea?

Waited in a 5 HOUR QUEUE for to be told I’m not qualified for a item when I was 50 in the queue when I first showed up and everyone skipped ahead , and not in the terms and conditions that you need a ticket , absolutely shit store , against policy

Very quick and helpful staff

I rang Shaws electrical Athy at 11am on Tuesday 5 August to enquire about the availability of an undercounter freezer. I spoke to Tate who informed me that the particular freezer was in stock. Not only was it in stock but it could be delivered the same day, and it was delivered by 4.30pm, and of course my old freezer was collected. Very impressed with Tate, very helpful and very pleasant to deal with.
