Follow up from August 2020--They would…

Follow up from August 2020--They would not give anything on my poor quality sink because I could not find my receipt--As they know, there is only one Shaws sink and they know what I paid 8 years ago in the US from Rohls---The crazing and staining continues unabated---Again I suggest staying away from this sink due to quality control issues especially since there are many other farmhouse style sinks out there---I would have thought that with the photos I sent they would refund SOME amount---Good Luck to those who choose Darwen---

Thank you for updating your Trustpilot review. Like all manufacturers, we do have rules around warranty claims, and you have been very unfortunate that your retailer has ceased trading, making it hard to prove the age of the sink. Since a year old Shaws sinks may look very similar to a twenty year old Shaws sink, we do normally require some proof of age.
No ceramic manufacturer has yet developed a technique that removes all possibility of crazing, or predicting whether an individual sink may develop crazing in the future. We would reiterate that crazing does not affect the sink's performance, and some customers feel that it is part of the character of the sink. Clearly many people, like you, do not, which is why it is covered under our warranty scheme.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to write - we genuinely value constructive criticism as much as praise - and sorry that we can't assist you further in this case.

Our shaws butlers sink has chipped…

Our shaws butlers sink has chipped easily. Shaws recommended a sink replacement kit which we purchased and followed the instructions to patch up the chips. The paint product didn’t last long. Now I have noticed cracks or crazing radiating from the drain on the same side as all the cracks. Our much cheaper ceramic sink in the laundry has more heavy work done in it and looks brand new. These products are 2.5 yrs old. The cracks appeared early on. I would not recommend this product.

No one has yet developed a method for entirely ruling out the possibility of crazing in a sink, and although it is cosmetic and doesn't affect the performance of the sink you can make a claim on the Shaws warranty. If you're in the UK, please call our Customer Services team to discuss (01254 775111), otherwise go back to your retailer in the first instance.

Brilliant Customer service

I spoke to Christina in the sales department who was just brilliant. Immediately solved the issue I had. Would thoroughly recommend Shaws. Such beautiful sinks that last a life time!

Excellent customer service

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to your customer service department in supplying me with a new sink waste basket strainer for a Belfast sink.
Having just installed a new Belfast sink for my daughter together with the new 1.5" chrome waste and basket strainer, unfortunately a glass fell into the sink and cracked the ceramic logo on the strainer. Very impressed with the customer service department and the company goodwill attitude.
Over the years i have installed many Belfast sinks and Shaws are always my go to Brand.

Excellent Customer service from Shaw's of Darwen …

We are the proud owners of a Shaw's Butlers sink, which we have had for some 14 years. Recently we needed some replacement fittings. Although Shaw's like so many companies , have had some challenges due to the Covid situation, they responded very positively. We were given sound advice , wonderful service and a prompt delivery. The two ladies who provided everything that was required were Christina Dickinson and Ester Eccles. We would recommend this long established company to one and all,. Mike & Denise Gee Wormshill Kent.

horrible service

horrible service. I ordered the products from them for over 1 months already and they never updated me the status of my order. Whenever I emailed them to check, they always feel annoying to answer me. Even now, I'm still waiting my products from them. I will never use them again.

We have a small team in Darwen, and we have been depleted in recent weeks due to Covid issues. Like many manufacturers in Britain at the moment, we are doing our best to keep production running and fulfil orders during a very challenging time. Wow...absolute 1st class customer service

I am not really sure what to say apart from.....wow!

They say that the smallest gestures go the furthest to showing you the good in people and in this instance it really is true. This has been amplified during these dark time of Covid and the impact it is having on everyone’s lives.

I contacted Shaws of Darwen over the weekend to see what availability was on a spare part for my sink. They have responded by supplying me with the required part as gesture of goodwill and even paid for the postage.

This is customer service of the very highest order and ensures they have now got a customer for life from myself.

It really is true when they say the little things in life are what counts.

Thank you.

Fabulous sink

Fabulous sink and waste. The French installer commented on the quality of the sink and the weight which is substantial. Much nicer than the old IKEA sink. A little touch of home in France!

Good service and beautiful quality product

The strainer plug arrived quickly and well packed - the plumber said it was very good quality and therefore easy to fit and I love the look of it plus it functions really well

DHL courier still hasn't delivered…

DHL courier still hasn't delivered despite tracking saying will be Dec 12th. Contacted Shaw customer service and follow up has been underwhelming.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trustpilot. Having looked into your case, I see that there has been a delay with the courier. Generally, despite the pandemic, our international deliveries have been relatively unaffected, but unfortunately you have suffered a significant delay.
Our Customer Services team have worked hard to investigate this with DHL, but we can only pass on information we are given by them. DHL's tracking service suggests that the package is now in Hong Kong, so hopefully it will reach you in the next few days.
Please accept our apologies for the longer than expected wait. Looking at your order, it seems that our website failed to add international carriage to the cost. Given your experience, we are happy to waive that charge.
We hope you enjoy your new sink.

Second, as a general comment, there are a lot of accessories in the kitchen and bathroom market that look identical, but are in fact made in different factories, using different materials and to different quality standards. Unfortunately there is a lot of copying. And poor quality wastes corrode quickly, in our experience. Was the wholesaler's waste Shaws' branded?
Without knowing the supplier or the exact product it is hard to comment more specifically. (Feel free to send a link or contact details if you would like us to investigate further.)
Finally, we are sorry that you're disappointed with the product. If you haven't yet used it, you are welcome to return it for a full refund.
