Great fun pretending to be a spy and getting paid for it too.

A great little App to make some money whilst out and about. They pay very promptly and have a wide range of tasks. Some are fairly difficult, requiring covert photographs in a busy store for example. The majority are straightforward and once you find your favourites it’s easy to progress at a decent speed as you know what you’re looking for.

I really enjoy doing tasks on the Shepper app. I can't remember the onboarding process which means it must have been very easy and seamless with the outcome I expected. The tasks themselves are usually pretty easy and straightforward. The more complicated ones get easier the more you do them. Sometimes the task feels cancelled feel a little low but I have found that after doing the same task a few times, time spent reduces drastically and the fee becomes more attractive. Perseverance and attention to detail is key to becoming more efficient. The occasional uplift in pay is welcome but quite rare in my experience. There is often a certain amount of detail expected when completing tasks and if there are any issues, support will ask for it to be re done. I have found support to be usually quite fair but on the odd occasion you might come up against a more picky review team member but this is rare and the more experience you get the better you will become at getting tasks completed correctly the first time.
There is a wide variety of tasks available from quick checks of things like tobacco products to more extensive store mystery shops. I really enjoy the variety of tasks and the additional income it provides.
The Shepper team are quite pro active as well. They often text me to ask if I can do a particular task which is welcome. All in all I really like Shepper. It gets me out and about doing things and seeing places earning money instead of being at home procrastinating and being non productive!

There is a lot of support from a very responsive team to help you complete the tasks. They are always very friendly. The work is enjoyable and I’m always paid in a timely manner. I’ve worked for them for a year now and this is by far the best market research company for interesting work and support.

Firstly, important to note I've been pleased with the Shepper experience.
Jobs are usually reviewed within 24 hours and the review team seem fair in their process...I've had a couple of jobs accepted but with some feedback from the reviewer which is appreciated as I suppose they could have failed or asked for a retry.
There are usually plenty of jobs in around my area and it's easy to accept and complete (you can even filter out any jobs you're not interested in). If completing plenty of jobs, it's important to know tax rules around "self-employment" in the UK. Earning over £1000 in a tax year (which I managed in 2 months) means you need to register for Self-Assessment and best to read up on the £1000 Trader Allowance and claiming car mileage. You can export payments from the Shepper app to CSV and I've kept a record of mileage for all jobs.
I have a couple of issues to feedback on following roughly 10 weeks using Shepper:
1. The referral payment for jobs completed by someone I've referred is VERY slow! When a newly referred Shep completes 10, 20 & 50 jobs, the referring Shep is due £10, £20 & £50 at each milestone. My referred Shep has now completed >30 jobs and I'm still awaiting the £20 payment for 20 jobs. I've asked the support team about this twice and I've had the following reply to both messages:
"Hi Russell, apologies for the delay on these ones they are being processed differently but the bonus should be issued shortly, thank you for your patience 🙂"
I understand the process is different but feel Shepper are benefitting from the jobs completed by my referred Shep but not paying the referral bonus as promised in a timely manner.
2. This is more relevant to when eligible to pay income tax (>£1000 Shepper earnings in a tax year) and relates to the fee for jobs. Last weekend, I was contacted by Shepper via text message to see if I could complete a £9 job (30 mins) at a location roughly 15 min drive away. I replied that after 20% income tax the fee would be £7.20 and then parking costs would bring this down to £5 or so which means the job is not as attractive. Just something to consider.
3. I've found that some jobs (particularly Waitrose in-store) are just not worth the effort. I'm looking at one now that has a £10 fee with £8 purchase (to be reimbursed) for 30 mins. This is reasonable but the number of tasks within the job is 201!!! I'm not opposed to hard work but this is just ridiculous and I don't even consider these anymore.
Those are my thoughts....I'd score the entire experience a 7-8/10.
I’ve been using Shepper for about 2 years now and have found the app easy to use. There are a variety of different mystery shopping jobs available locally to me and the live support team are very helpful and reply quickly. I find the job descriptions and tasks are easy to follow and complete.

All jobs start from £2.50 and they mostly pay £5 or over for most of the jobs, the jobs are usually fast and easy and you can earn over £50 in one day!

There is always a good selection of jobs available and often large campaigns going on with the chance to make a good of money. Customer service is always quick to respond and reviews are usually completed the same day.

This company is different in that you can't book a job to do in your own time. It has to be done on the day the job appears. Everything though is done at the time without going home and complete.
The problem is if you make a mistake. You have to go back within 24 hours even if you help them out by travelling 10 miles you have to back and there is no flexibility even if you are 10 minutes late, which is disappointing. Payment is reliable.

I find the Shepper app easy and user friendly and the team provide a great service. It’s a great way to make some extra money and the jobs are varied and can be interesting however I do feel that some of the jobs are becoming more difficult for less pay. Some of the jobs on the app make it hard to keep under cover. The app and team I would give 5 stars to.
Fantastic team, great rates of pay. Fully supported training and regular updates on opportunities. Paid instantly. 100% reccomended
Easy, user friendly and great customer service. A really nice way to make some extra cash that actually paid for my holiday last year.
Easy to use app. Friendly staff who help quickly if needed. Great opportunity to earn some extra money. I have really enjoyed using Shepper. I would highly recommend.
This app has been really good for with ease of use and with my shopping needs. I can do the task as everyday actions which does not disrupt my day.
