To Nick and the team at Sherwood Tinning... thank you for a wonderful rework on my copper pot!! I’m from New Zealand, based in London for 5mths, with my husband. I managed a quick trip to Paris just before lockdown, there I purchased my pot... tired, a bit beat up and no tin left...but I loved it!
Back in London I researched re-tinners and found Nick.
My whole dealings with him have been easy and very prompt. Turn around took longer than usual given the circumstances but Nick communicated this along the way.
I’m SO thrilled with the result! We do not have the ability to get re-tinning done in NZ so I’m glad to get this done here before heading home.

I bought some old copper pans from an antique shop, I've always wanted to own a set. Needless to say they were not in great condition. Nick at Sherwood Tinning transformed my old pots and pans into what looks like a new set which are enthusiastically used at home in the kitchen most days. A great service and great craftsmanship.

I thought my mother's beloved old copper frying pan was beyond repair, she died in 1991 having used it already for many years, so you can imagine it was by now almost dangerous to cook with, dilapidated, and the tin worn away - but Nick has done a superb job on complete refurbishment, it is like a new pan, inside and out, and will last another lifetime. I am thrilled with it.

It had arrived at Sherwood Tinning just as lock down began, but as soon as the restrictions were lifted, the work was done and the pan couriered back to me very quickly, and greatly appreciated.

Two copper pans that I was ready to discard are now cookware to use and cherish! A wonderful transformation and all our items were returned in first class condition with friendly professionalism and going a mile further with the skill of fabulous refurbishment.

Sherwood Tinning did a fantastic job of re-tinning a family heirloom - a copper gratin dish. This dish can now be passed down through more generations, thanks to the excellent work done! We were in contact with the company throughout the process, and they provided very courteous, helpful assistance. Would highly recommend them!
