Six weeks to get my order, then it didn’t fit. Forget this place!

I have ordered a dress from this company and made contact two times and just got an automated email back saying it is experiencing a high demand of emails and will take 2 to 5 days to get back to me, what a joke my dress has been ordered and paid for 2 months ago and still nothing BUYERS BE AWARE I AM NOT GETTING A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS BURLAP APPAREL CHEEP CLOTHING COMPANY …MY SUGGESTION ….STAY AWAY

Buyer beware is right - this is a scam from China. The return was NOT easy - I was offered an opportunity to use store credit when they say on their site that everything is easily returnable. The fabric is poor, the construction is horrible (I sew), and the sizing is terrible. Overall, I did not return because I do not want to deal with them, at all, and I don't want anything else coming from a poorly run factory in China.

I ordered a dress from Burlap over three months ago and it never came. I didn't say anything about it for a while because the site said it would take 2-3 weeks to arrive but after 6 weeks went by I started emailing and I already got an automated message that it would take a while for them to get back to me because they were receiving a high volume of emails. I still haven't heard what could have happened, haven't gotten my dress and am out a bunch of money. I'm very disappointed.

I ordered a pretty dress with long sleeves and got an ugly sack with short sleeves. DO NOT USE.

With regard to their reply below - I sent two emails and both have been ignored!

My two lace blouses arrived yesterday without a return address label. Both were labelled that they were 3X sized but according to a major American Clothing store manufacturer, they measured in at the size of XXXSmall and not XXXLarge as ordered. I am not willing to return these at my expense when it is the company's error so would like to know how to proceed from here so I become a satisfied customer.

Although the item I ordered was too small for me, the exchange process was exceptional - quick, easy to deal with; very customer oriented. The clothing is not what you would expect off of a department store rack in the US. Sizes do run smaller than we are used to; we have become a fat country and the US clothing manufacturers have kept up by making a size 6 a size 2. Order a couple of sizes up from Burlap (you don't see overweight women in China or Thailand) and you will be happy with your order. (I am normally a size 0 or 2, and I ordered a Large and it fits perfectly.) They offer unique pieces if you are willing to ignore the size label and wait several weeks to receive your order.

SCAM: BUYER BEWARE!!! I placed an order in April by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. HUGE MISTAKE! I thought that I was ordering from a local, US company. Little did I know, I was ordering from a company in China and would NEVER receive the items. It was an $800 order. I contacted the company the first week of May and they said they could not cancel the order, that the items had already shipped from China. I let time slip away with urgent matters that came up after the email exchange. By the time I revisited this, too many days had passed by and my credit card company could not help me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

I ordered a shirt and it appeared to be a child's size. I sent 4 emails asking to exchange or refund without a response. TERRIBLE COMPANY!! The shirt was shipped from China.. and I had to pay a tax on it.

Had a problem with the size was too small. The blouse I ordered was very nice and of great material a pity it was small. But I must say that they have the best customer service ever. Got full refund back immediately. Very good service indeed

I ordered a dress from these people and when it arrived, it didn't suit me nor was it quite the size I had thought it would be. I immediately contacted them and they offered me a replacement. I looked on their website and realised that nothing would suit me and I contacted them again, they immediately refunded me the full amount without any quibble at all. They are not as bad as these reviews have made out, well not in my experience anyway. The refund was given without me even having returned the dress in question.

Sadly my review is as low as it goes. The item I received was poorly stitched, sizing was nothing like described and fabric was also of poor quality. I took a month to get to me and I was excited to finally receive it, sadly it was extremely disappointing. I will not order from Burlap again.
I am now waiting on a response regarding my refund based on Burlaps website advise.

I would give this no stars if possible. Packages come from China, so that is the delay in 3-5 weeks shipping. I ordered a shirt in early September and it just came in this week. You know it's a bad sign when the note inside reads "please forgive our ugly packaging". I took the shirt out of the packaging and the baggy it was wrapped in and noticed the stitching was torn on one of the shoulders. When I tried it on, I could feel the horribly low quality of the material.

You have to email them for inquiries, so when I did to request a full refund, they asked for a picture of the shirt and what size I wanted to exchange it for. No, no exchanges, just my money back please.

This company clearly copies styles from ACTUAL boutiques, manufactures them in China for pennies and sends them out. I am ashamed I fell for this, but it is a scam. Do NOT waste your time or money on this company.

Don't. Even. Bother. I ordered a dress from this company (the site said "Hurry! Only seven left in stock!" which never changed after I ordered, btw) and then I got an e-mail "reminding" me (it had never told me this on the site) that it could take 3-5 weeks for it to reach me. 8 weeks later, no dress. I sent them an e-mail and got a bogus crappy "Oh, your order was lost in transit." I know the hucksters never sent it to begin with. I finally got a refund but I have yet to see a positive review of this company anywhere. Save your money and don't buy from this scam.

Bought The item on Aug 29th 2017. The item was apparently shipped on 6th of September. No news of its imminent arrival. I have been following up almost every week, apart from automated replies, no other response. But to wait 3- 5 weeks for its arrival. Last week I even requested to refund me the value of the product, seeing that it is unlikely to reach me.

I ordered a dress on 8 September and have never seen it yet - not delivered

I agree regarding the dresses! Horrific quality! I wouldn't buy from then again for dresses! They make good aprons, though!! Lol! The blouses look like a slightly better quality, though, hopefully! They take tooo long to arrive though!

I only gave them one star because I had to. Do not buy, it is a scam. The dress I bought is nothing like the one on line. The fabric was pure polyester, NOT cotton as they said and the style was different. Waste of money!!!!!

SHOCKING company what a Scam!! do NOT buy from them!!! they take your money and do not even deliver the products!!!! they should NOT be in business... spread the word this is THEFT!!!!!

The product that was delivered is not at all like what was pictured. It is a cheap knockoff of terrible quality and does not even appear to be made to fit a human body. I have emailed about a return and am hoping they actually reply.

I'm editing this because of the response I received from the company: they indicate they emailed me. What the email said is that I can return the item for in store credit. This clothing is going into the garbage where it belongs and I will not waste my time getting another piece of junk from this company.
