I ordered a dress but got two of the same identical dresses both charged to my visa. I wanted to return one but you would not respond to any and I mean a lot of my e-mails. I took it to my visa and still lost. I would not recommend anyone to buy anything from your company. I would like to return one and simply get a refund on one of the dresses. Why would you NOT answer my e-mail about returns?

I ordered the vintage yellow dress as well. It arrived about a month after I ordered it, which was expected because that's what my confirmation email said. The package showed up at my door today so I was excited; my cute vintage dress was finally here!

What I saw when I opened up the package was not what I ordered. The dress was incredibly thin; it felt like I was wearing one of those 50 cent tablecloths. Way too sheer for me to wear in public. The material felt cheap, the pockets were in a weird spot, and it wasn't the same shade of yellow as the picture showed. Very sad, going to try to get a refund but after reading these other reviews I'm not very hopeful

After waiting for three weeks to receive my order, it came in the size I did order, size XL, however, that size must be a chinese size because american size would be Small or at the most, Medium.
I immediately wrote to the company requesting a return label and refund but what I received is an automatic reply that they are very busy and may not reply for 5 to 7 days. WOW, one way of hoping customer goes away, will get discouraged and won't come back. If customer makes further inquiries and waits for 7 days or more, you will be told that you waited too long to qualify for a return.
I will not go away. I will now open a dispute with PayPal. This has happend almost every time I order on line from a Chinese company. I have been very causious not to order from China, however, its almost impossible to know where your purchase is coming from. Just like the Burlap company, who say that they are located in Bradenton, FL. but they are not. I live in Bradenton, FL and they are not located there. There is no address or telephone number for this company in Bradenton. My order came from China. OMG, what a scam. The customers that are happy with this company are the ones who received their orders on time and do not need to request a refund, so it works for them, but not for others who are not happy with the quality of the merchandise or request to get an address for a return and refund. That's when you do not hear from them or get runaround.

I ordered the Lemon - Vintage Yellow Dress.

Delivery is the company's strongest aspect from my experience. It arrived in about 2 weeks as expected (to Toronto, Canada). Packaging was fine - nothing special, but enough for the dress.

Below is the email I wrote to the company while requesting to return/full refund:

It is not stitched to match the patter of the online picture version, the fabric used is not the same and is inappropriately sheer, the pockets are not aligned to each other, nor stitched in the same place as the online image, not stitched open, the color is not the same, and the pattern does not align for the collar/neck area.
The only part of the dress received that is similar to the online image is the length.

Received email from Burlap regarding refund, that my request has been processed and refund will complete 2-3 days. As of today I have received my full refund into my account.

Though I am glad the refund process wasn't strenuous and now have it back; it would be nice to see a company truly try and fix a problem of this sort. If they sent the product(s) I ordered, corrected so that I would consider being a repeat customer that would have been better. This isn't an issue of 'wrong size, or the wrong pattern, the dress was a dollar store version of a runway piece that they pretend is supposed to be OK. I understand the prices on the site are pretty cheap, but what you sell should look exactly like what you say you are going to send me so that we can have appropriate expectations.

Absolutely appalling merchandise. I ordered the poncho jumper in white. It arrive after 5 weeks looking nothing like what apppeared on their website. It looked cheap and nasty and dishwater colour and only fit for the bin. A total rip off. The information with the nasty item said to contact them for an exchange or refund. I was informed that I could have a different size or a credit to use for another product! As if I would ever wear anything from this company.

I bought a dress from the online website and it fits perfectly. Good quality on the workmanship. Not sure why other reviews aren't so good. I would definitely buy from them agsin

I agree with Laurie. Horrible merchandise. Very cheap and nothing like the photo. Came from China. They say they give full refunds, but they don't get back to you. No customer support. I repeat it is a Chinese company.

I have ordered a blouse at Burlap. The quality and the look was not representative of the picture on Burlap site. I wanted to return it and they are making so much trouble to do so. Take pictures of the item, give info on why etc..It,s been more than 2 weeks now that I'm trying to get the info for return and reimbursement and I still don't have the info. There is so many good companies outhere, don't risk your money with them

I had a great experience with this company. The quality of the two dresses I received was fine. The sewing was not sloppy and the material that was used was just right. I love them both and they fit me as my usual medium. It took longer to arrive, but that was not a concern of mine as they indicate that up front and that is why the cost savings.

I purchased the black little dress that is going viral all over Facebook. Took over 5 weeks to receive, my friends and I were looking forward to seeing it, when I opened it, it was In a ziplock bag, the dress was made from cheap plastic, was not even black, was a faded/grayish plastic material, very cheap, bad stitching. I cried out of anger!! Was so disappointed, the dress looks nothing like the photo, it was completely different dress.

This company is a scam. The garment looks like a beginner sewed it. I am into a week of asking for a full refund as stated on their website full money back guarantee. I keep getting automated replies asking for the same information I am giving them in my email. They aren't reading my email just shooting back automated replies. They did ask me for a photo of the item I received. Really a photo? I want my full refund back and will review them on Better Business Bureau website. Buyer beware!!!!

I am sure you are experiencing a high volume of emails from all the dissatisfied customers from the crappy clothing you are selling. I am sure it is a full time job just to reply to all the reviews posted about your scam company. Stop wasting time dragging out of the process of REFUNDING MY MONEY!!!!!

I received a reply email on 9-28 stating my refund had been submitted and to give 2-3 business days to show up in my bank. Today is Oct 5 which is 5 business days and no refund. Total scam!!!!

Placed my order for a chiffon blouse on the 28th of august and ztill no sign of it at this stage being thd 26th of september i havd tried to track it but replg comes back pendinv try later .it is most dissapointing to think this company is getting away with this and not be monitored.i paid by visa and i an goinig to try and get a refund.rena cullen ireland

I am very happy with the dress I ordered. Though it took a number of weeks to receive it (3-4), I am very happy with how it looks and the pocket styling.

I can't get a refund at all, even after sending them numerous emails. Some they chose to reply to, some they didn't. I've never come across a worse business than this . Everyone should steer clear of them unless they want to buy low quality stuff while paying high price.

I want to claim my money back. You say on your page that they have 100% satisfaction guarantee. Well, I am very dissatisfied! For the price of this item I bought and it is of very poor quality! The quality of this article is crap. They lie in advertising and I consider myself cheated by them.
They lie when selling something of quality and is false. It is a terrible quality and they lie about the type of fabric and the advertising photos are also a farce.

Ordered the vintage yellow dress and the vintage inspired geometric dress. The product details for the yellow dress says it's 100% polyester, and the geometric does not specify but the photo on the website looks like the fabric is similar to the yellow. Was very shocked when I received them... total garbage. Absolutely not polyester. Both are a material that feels like plastic... I couldn't even tell you what they're made of because there are no tags on the dresses. They are both so thin they're see-through, and there's no shape to them, they hang on me like a plastic bag. After contacting them about returning they first asked why I needed to return and offered me store credit. I pointed out their 100% satisfaction money back guarantee and asked for a refund and prepaid mailer to send the dresses back. Within a couple days I got my refund and they told me there is no need to return them.

This company is a scam. I haven't been able to get return information for my order despite requesting it multiple times. They falsely advertise high quality clothing but it's clear upon arrival that the clothes are poorly constructed with cheap materials. I fully intend to report this business.

Shipment never arrived. Can't reach anyone by phone. Have been waiting over 8 weeks !!

I am so disappointed with the quality of the clothing I ordered. The yellow dress was completely see-through and the stitching was coming out. The blue dress was made of the worst quality material and felt and looked terrible on. The sweaters were also poorly made. Basically, none of the items look anything like they did in the photos. I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service. I have sent four emails and finally received a response saying that I could exchange for different sizes or another item of lesser value. I keep responding to them letting them know that I want my money back and only get a response saying “We're experiencing unusually high email volume this week, so it may take as long as 5 business days for us to get back to you”. This is a complete scam! Do not order from this company!
