Outrageous shipping charges and beyond excessive delays in shipping. Totally unacceptable and they are fortunate that they don’t have their own review sites for individual GW selling sites. That would... See more

I'd rather pay the pros than look for some cheap deals
I was happy with a couple items, but then was ripped off with fake designer goods, when the ads declared "authenticated". I will be had once, but not twice. I will never use Goodwill online again. I'm a bit soured to walk in a local store as well. It feels grimy lately.
I don't like the vibe. I'm feeling like I'd rather save up and pay full price at a designer store. Sounds more fun, too. Goodbye goodwill. Sayanora resell. I'm paying full price with pride.

Very unprofessional Company beware of shop goodwill.com. I suggest local pawn shops instead !! Sharon
Lost my trust!!
Lost my trust. They fail 9 out of 10 times to disclose with a simple image that shows significant damage to items and then just passing it off with a generic "Item is used and is subject to small imperfections not visible in pictures.
-Has Wearing-Dust Due To Storage-Needs cleaning-scuffs-scratches-dirt" on every listing to get away with not disclosing anything more.
For example: I bought one auction that had 3 plushies in the listing. Several images shown, however, they failed to share an image of the bottom of the plush that show SHARPIE writings! How dense and rude can shopgoodwills team be by not disclosing that?? This is not just "small imperfection". They should be held accountable for falsifying and selling damaged goods without disclosing so.
Secondly I bought a typewriter, after picking up, its missing an entire closure latch! No images to disclose this and again, they only leave that generic description and dont disclose anything important one should know about significant damages that sometimes makes the item unusable/unsellable. Essentially, they scam buyers.
Have bought over 100 items here most…
Have bought over 100 items here most are ok to good some are not but I realize it is goodwill so no problem.Ladt fee thing have been really bad, gold that's not gold, deceptive pictures but when I bought some things that ship price was 42.00 I added a .04 gram gold necklace for combined ship and they said no Charge a extra 14.00 to but it in the same box.I am done with this place they scam you while pretending to be a charity.
Extremely long shipping times.
Extremely long shipping times.
Extremely high shipping prices with handling fees even though they pay these employees for a job so how is this even legal? Half the items i feel you bid on have people from goodwill getting a percentage or something so they may be bidding up their own items. This should not be allowed either based on the fact that they are donated free items. They should sell all items in store. A worker told me they take everything of value from stores and send for the online stores now. People need to stop donating to them. Its wrong they are a billion dollar company now. They sell on ebay and say they donate to charity which the charity is goodwill itself so they are using some sort of legal loophole which should be looked into. They dont show all items in the description to try and cheat buyers. If there is an issue with your item they dont give any refunds. Again something criminal is going on here. If you have any issues with them or any store they will suspend or close your account and WILL badger you before doing so. I can go on and on. Broken items, no refund. I havent bought much over the last few years but there were times i paid a high amount and didnt even get all the items one specifically the most important item in the bundle which caused me to bid high was not in the package when it arrived. What they offer in return for it is basically nothing and as I've already said if you get mad at all with them they will block you or close your account. People need to stop supporting them and if you have issues find a legal action against them. Im sure this may seem extreme but they have become money hungry jerks selling your old items for near market value. Broken items in the buy it now for near market value of the same working item. Its so sad.
Shopgoodwill in Hillsboro, Or
Shopgoodwill in Hillsboro, Or. 97123. Don't buy from them I've been waiting 12 days and they have not shipped what I paid for 12 days ago. A package bought 2 days later shipped. I asked why. Crickets.
Save your money
This site used to be decent
This site used to be decent, but recently they started adding spam ad link redirects, ads embedded in search results. I have to click 4 or more times in the search bar, to get rid of the spam ads.
Look out for the fake 'prizes' at the payment page, At least two of them are subscription services that cost more than I'd save!
Be careful with shipping costs (which can double item costs!) Use search engines to learn actual retail price, and try to avoid going over that amount in auction...including shipping & taxes. Buy at your local Goodwill stores, if you can.
Better off going in stores
Some stores are fair and truthful, most lately are not. Hiding damage/not showing complete pictures of the item but having a disclaimer is a deceitful practice. Ex. Only pictures of the side & top of shoes that look brand new- soles are trashed/half gone when you get the item. Shipping practices are ridiculous and should be standard across the board. Shipping/handling is a rip off. Customer service is 0 stars. Terrible. Don't even get a reply or you wait until your item won is "past due".
Some Goodwills such as North Florida…
Some Goodwills such as North Florida Goodwill rip you off on shipping in a way that's hard to believe. There is no redress. They just stiff arm you and blame FedEx. Lies. I have purchased many times there but check shipping before you place a single bid. They may take you to the cleaners. I bought 3 guitars from 3 different Goodwills. One charged $20 which is very fair. Another (South Florida) charged $43 pretty steep but good packing. North Florida charged $70! Ripoff. Slowest shipper as well. Haven't seen it yet. Super bad deal. They don't care.
I did eventually receive my package. It was in a box big enough to hold 4-5 guitars or a medium size human. No wonder it was so expensive! It had very little packing and was poorly taped so it was a testament to the shipper that it arrived OK
I saw the exact same guitar being sold by Central Ohio Goodwill and the shipping estimate was $12.81 with a $16.36 total! A $50 difference in shipping!
Real customer service at Shopgoodwill is non existent. They are only there to make excuses and tell you why they will do nothing. Redress is not possible. These are the signs of a truly terrible company and really bad management.
Black molded items
They'll send you items covered in black mold and then act delusional when you speak wity the manager. Stay away !!!!!
The website is set up to feed the ads…
The website is set up to feed the ads on the site. I noticed several times after I received notification that I had been outbid. When I click on view active bids or anything on the page it takes you to an ad. This is not by mistake because they make money per click. The website is a scam site. They post items very low. By the time the auction is close to closed the price can jump up hundreds of dollars. For example the item can start out at 10.00 dollars and after a few days it can be 200 dollars for used items that are donated. I will not be buying anything and I recommend you do not either. The buy now is very expensive for used purses for 24.95. I'm sure resellers are running the bids up or some kind of scam is driving up the amount. Very dissatisfied Goodwill has taken a turn for the worst. Junk is in the store and the nice stuff is being sold for hundreds of dollars.
WIN WHAT? A BUNCH OF ADDED FEES AND EXPENSES?
I bought a womans dress winning bid $8 but then they added a bunch of fees so my total was $30! When I recieved my order it was JUNK!
Buyer Beware! Lots of secret damaged items
I do most of my shopping online, and shopgoodwill.com has become one of the worst places to do so.
It's set up so that various Goodwill stores around the country can auction their own inventory. You can find tons of great brands on the site, however the merchant stores have made it clear that they can scam you and get away with it.
In the past year, I have bought several jewelry items at what I thought were great deals. However, when the packages would arrive, items would have significant tarnishing, scratches, missing jewels or links, or other damage. The stores are able to get away with this by having a disclaimer that says to please review all photos. Except, the photos misrepresent the product by often times being overexposed to give the items a deceptive finish, or otherwise blurry, with product in shadows, or angled in ways to disguise damage.
Clothing and shoes are photographed the same - every attempt made to hide the true condition, while calling it "detailed in photos"
Starting bid prices have also increased exponentially. I think they're trying to compete with secondhand sites and resellers, but there's one problem - fewer and fewer of us online shoppers will be using a site that so obviously wants to misrepresent its offerings, not offer returns and have a pretty much non-existent customer service experience. (Like asking for additional details about an item only to be told it was photographed in is entirety). At least with reseller sites like eBay and Poshmark, we can expect an item to be represented clearly, or to have the ability to return the faulty item. Do better, shopgoodwill!
GOODWILL SHIPPING CHARGES CRIMINAL
I buy a lot off Shop Goodwill but try mainly to buy from the ones Closest to me. The Shipping and Handling Charges they are so Inconsistent and BAD throughout the entire website Locations. A Football Jersey that weight less than 1 Pound will have a $11-$23 Shipping Charge and a Handling Fee. The USPS has aFlat Rate Padded Envelope you can ship this in for $7.00 and Sites like Poshmark Charge $7.87 Fltat Rate under 5 Pounds. Goodwill just RIPS you off or has Dumb People handling Shipping Charges
good will? hardly.
I bought an acoustic guitar which was not cheap. the photos intentionally were taken from angles to hide damage that would incur significant cost to repair. I filled a claim that was instantly rejected. hard to believe a company that calls themselves "good will" would stoop to such deceptive practices. ripped me off for $70! will never buy from them again.
I bought a pair of shoes online through Arizona goodwill
I bought a pair of shoes online through Arizona goodwill on the 5th same day I bought from 2 other states and have received my 2 other items and here it is the 11th and they still haven't shipped my item yet. So do nor buy from them online unless u don't want to receive it and not get a refund either. That store cannot be trusted.....
The goodwill sites shipping charges…
The goodwill sites shipping charges have become obsene. I was goong to bid on a pair of tennis shoes and the shipping said $35-$70. I sent a complaint and they said that Fed-ex controls shipping charges. Thats BS. The shippers like Fedex and UPS do sell the fact that they can charge Customers published rates and if they get a discount of 20% or whatever they keep it as profit. But what they are doing is checking the dimensional weight box on the shipping machine when shipping a package. This button is checked when you have a large box that has no weight like shipping 2 pillows. So UPS and FEDex came up with Dimensional weight. The problem is Goodwill is using for everything and gouging Customers by inflating tye shipping charges to get more$$$. What happened to buying sonething you collect or need and paying a fair price for shipping? Goodwill needs to educate thier people about dimensional weight and when it applies. Also fair handling charges. It diesnt cost $5 to mail a pair of tennis shoes!
I've been a customer for 5 years now…
I've been a customer for 5 years now but today I just paid my last order. The shipping/ handling is just a gross abuse, I would think they have a discount with the carriers but even though, they charge the most expensive shipping from all over, also the items are mostly junk nowadays. I also want to help the cause but they are just rippers. Ill try to find a better option. Bye!
Never Again
Have bought multiple things in the past...Bigger and heavier than a belt buckle. Just over $10 for shipping. Almost as much as my bid. This is THE END.
The Peoria Goodwill
The Peoria, Illinois sent out a horrible lot of jewelry and left out a substantial sterling chain. I paid 521.00 for this lot. I emailed and paid cost of shipping to return it. I tried emailing them with no response. I will not bid on their mixed metal boxes again.
