Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the products, citing issues with quality, inaccurate descriptions, and items arriving broken or not as expected. People frequently found the prices to be excessively high, especially when considering the condition of the items. The website itself also drew criticism for its poor functionality and navigation. Had a not returning emails or phone calls problem with merchandise called…

Had a problem with merchandise called him left messages. Email many times a button quite a few stuff over the year never really had a problem. I think they’re just too big. They don’t know what they’re doing. I still try to contact them and no return calls. Nothing email nothing some of the merchandise is not the greatest. Make sure you ask if it is good silver or bad silver. The two difference are big One will turn your finger green. The other one I bought a ring it said Sterling silver turned out to be in Mexico. I think they need to definitely had jewelers and who knows what they’re doing it.

Don’t do it. Do not shop here. Don’t do it.

Shop goodwill
Shopgoodwill robs consumers.
1) the postings dont mention all the flaws, nor do the photos show the flaws. As there is a zero return policys, consumers have no recourse if products are covered in human excrement, filthy, broken, damaged or FAKE.
Most items are obviously fakes or inauthentic.
2) its not an auction. Its bid manipulation and thievery.
For example- a consumer bids $151 on a pair of 14k opal earrings. Bidding has 48 hours to go. The first bid is automatic to the starting price of $49.
No one or thing bids. There is 1 minute left. Score! Right?
Wrong. The bidding will all of a sudden go up to $150 and that is what you now must pay for the item.
Another example of bid manipulation: a wooden bowl with turquoise has a starting bid of $39. The consumer bids $56. The same item is $150 on eBay and other resellers.
19 hours left of bidding. No one else bids. With 60 seconds left, the bid is now $57. All bids are now blocked.
Plus the ads cover up the bid now button. The consumer lost the auction in the last minute with no recourse. If shopgoodwill thinks that the bidding is not above the value, some ethereal bidder (or AI or a simple algorithm) will bid $1 over the highest bid and no human wins. The item gets reposted until ???
Some items may not even exist to be sold.
3) shipping fees. For one piece of art, with NO glass, the shipping was 3 times the cost of the piece. Shipping fees are ridiculous. And sometimes they use usps, they use whatever sender they want.
If the item is broken, the consumer has send pictures. But the pictures phones take are too big for their system. Thus, photos must be shrunk or converted to pdfs. The seller ignores the first request and the consumer must resubmit the photos.
And it is the right of shop goodwill to do anything- or not.
4)no customer service. Shop goodwill has an F rating on BBB. Shopgoodwill does not respond to complaints on BBB. Consumers
Have zero recourse through BBB.
5)As there is no customer service and no returns and the bidding is manipulated by shopgoodwill, shopping on shopgoodwill is like flushing money down the toilet and hoping that the septic system will regurgitate clean bills.
6) filters dont work.
If the consumer wants to bid on one location only, the filter does not stay. The consumer may think that they are bidding on a local item that they can pick up. Alas, its not the case, as the filter vanishes. The consumer may be bidding on something with a shipping fee of $60 and the item is 1,000 miles away.
If the consumer wants to keep their account, they have to pay for the item. They can then Donate the item back, and shopgoodwill can sell it again.
7) after 4 weeks of using the site, I was robbed in every way listed. My money is flushed down the toilet and gone forever in the septic system. Oh- I mean it is at shop goodwill!
Dont use the site.
Seriously.
Prices are the same as any online site- but most of those sites have some kind of customer support.
Shop goodwill is the evil site that everyone says that they are.
Stay away. Please, I implore you.

Every goodwill store recieves…Beware of shipping weights and costs

Every goodwill store recieves donations. The items that they think can earn good money are sent to shopgoodwill.com and not sold in the local stores. Fine, whatever. Where I have my problem is the shipping of items. I was looking at an item for sale today. The listing said the actual weight was 35lbs and the shipping weight was 84lbs. You CSNT tell me they used 47lbs of shipping material to send an item thru the mail. This is RIDICULOUS, come on now, stop trying to rip consumers off due to your greed. Do you not think wr pay attention to these things. As a former employee of goodwill, I am appalled by this practice and glad I have left the company.

I loved shopping at the GoodWill…

I loved shopping at the GoodWill Outlet, It actually was Therpy for me. Like a treasure hunt. It was fun, not anymore GoodWill decided to cash on the reselling trend, and marking up prices for trash, and even more expensive on GoodWill.com.. I was absolutely SHOCKED at the prices. No more GoodWill for me unless the outlets reopen! Not a smart business move, shame of you Goodwill! You choose GREED over Graciousness! Not a good look!

GREEDY

You get everything for free and now you want 10 cents for a bag to put it in!! your CEO is so greedy its unbelievable! You need to share some of your $$$$ with the people that really work for you, which, I am sure many are part time. I donate to your stores all the time and have spent a ton of money there! you can bet you will never see me there again until you stop being so greedy!! People need to stand up, just say no to these rip-offs for a few days and make them pay for the bags! Plus their prices are now higher than some retail stores and most items are filthy dirty!

FALSE ADVERTISING

FALSE ADVERTISING: Buyer beware, Goodwill has inappropriately identified objects as jade and sterling silver in my case and stand by their statements. I foolishly purchased items assuming they were what Goodwill said they were. When I asked to return them I was met with the wall of denial and the hoops of paying for transport to return and a percentage of my costs reduced to reshelve.
I have learned a lesson that I should have already known. Buyer beware. I will no longer shop with them.

GREED TAKES OVER GOODWILL!!

The majority of items instore are now cheap stuff from Target and other stores. Things that probably didn't sell even 'on sale' in those stores. Thrifters look for quality brands of goods at a fair price...a bargain!! These items are DONATED, the backrooms are stuffed, shelves are often pretty sparse, and the prices are more than TJ Maxx and Home Goods in many instances. We are disgusted with the prices these days. Goodwill will soon be off our list of places to shop. As it is we no longer donate to them. They have become very GREEDY. And some of the locations won't even provide a bag no matter how many items you have. No longer a 'fun place to go'!!

Being a reseller I can show you…

Being a reseller I can show you receipts for over 400 items. I can also show you a trash can full of 278 items that had zero business being sold by goodwill. They wouldn't dare put some of these items inside their store in the horrid condition they are in.They get away with these items being in horrendous condition because it is online and they have zero return policy. I have received pants with feces stains. I have received blazers with over 23 holes described as new with tags. I have received items covered in dog pee. DO NO WASTE YOUR TIME OR.MONEY THEY WILL SCAM YOU WITH INCOMPLETE CONDITION REPORTS AND MAKE IT HARD TO RETURN ITEMS.

Shopgoodwill.com is a dishonest auction

Shopgoodwill.com has started with ads on bottom over the bid button so when you try to bid on a item in the last seconds you bid a ad where the(place bid) is located. Now the ads are double in size and not worth the aggravation., also shopgoodwill.com uses FAKE BIDS TO BID YOU UP. for example i accidentally punch in a three digit amount on a cheap single possible two digit amount and the store bid it up to 1$ less than the three digit number I accidentally put in. In good faith I payed the admit in good faith mowing the item wasn't worth it. Another time I bid on a item over the value and it was bid up pay my reserve and no one made any bids on it. Auction ends and the next day the item is back for auction with a starting bid of my reserve. Coincidence. I think not. These people are crooks!!

Need more uniformity in training

Need more uniformity in training. Some participating store/regions are not trained to say, ship larger items , while others will. Feedback when I create a customer service ticket is spotty at best. If I do receive a response it's normally after the auction is closed. If you don't have personnel-just don't offer the service. Also, if you're bidding on an itemm. a great service would be a reminder text or email before the item closes. You would generate lot's more revenue.

Fraud!

It’s obvious they can see your bid and at the last minute will bid $1 less than you to drive the price up. 75% of the auctions I won are won by $1 and the next higher bid was placed 1 min before the end of the auction. This is fraud and they should be prosocuted for it.

ShopGoodwill of MERS Missouri GREEDY CHEATS

ShopGoodwill of MERS Missouri is GREEDY AND UNETHICAL! I received an item that was damaged during shipping, but I still wanted to keep the item, I just wanted to be compensated for the damage. I provided the photos and asked them to file a claim with FedEx for the damage or provide me with a waiver so I could file the claim. Instead, they are making me travel 40 minutes out of my way to return it. Once they receive it, they will refund me, but then file the claim for themselves and sell the item again. Unfortunately, I am not able to leave this at my doorstep to be picked up due to high theft, and they will not compensate me for my time of having to go to a FedEx location. All of this trouble because they are GREEDY AND WANT MORE MONEY.

Goodwill online auction is a scam

Goodwill online auction is a scam. The shipping is ridiculous over charge. They get the items from donation and turn around making huge profits. I doubt that they stated every dollar , 90 cent go to helping other rather to CEO pocket.
Don't buy anything from Goodwill either online or in store. Not worth it. Go to your thrift store which is much better.

They are in no hurry to ship and could care less.

I have 7 days to pay and usually I pay within 1 hour.
However Goodwill ships when ever they get around to it. Generally a week or longer.
Right now I'm waiting for a auction that was won on 06/01/24.....17 days and hasn't moved.
My new policy is not to pay for new auctions , until my open orders have shipped !
Wake up Goodwill. Give a ***** about your customers.

Greedwell Industries has raised prices…

Greedwell Industries has raised prices to the point where many items cost more than retail. The CEO paid himself over a million dollars last year. Regiona managers are making in the high 6's. They take advantage of a legal loophole to pay disabled employess well below minimum wage. Shipping charges are absurd. I check the cost to ship a hat and it was estimated at 40 lbs.! Shipping costs of $40-$50 per item. I can get a hat shipped from AUSTRALIA to Seattle for less than $10. Support your local mom / pop thrift stores and give the shaft to Greedwell!

This Auction Website is terrible and…

This Auction Website is terrible and should not be allowed to operate. Their pictures are bad and the descriptions are worse or non-existent. Shipping, Handling and taxes are crazy high. Example, Bid on an item and win for $29, then add Handling of $10, Shipping $15 and tax $5 and total is $59 (Double the winning bid cost). This is typical of buying on this auction site. Use to get bargain sometimes but, there no way to tell who is really bidding on the items and there is no place to leave feedback on ANY outlet. Also believe on popular items, they have someone bid on items to drive up the cost. So that said, they can and do as they please. You as a customer, can be totally duped and have no recourse. Bid and buy at your on risk!

SHOPGOODWILL IS A SCAM AUCTION

If I could give a zero, I would. Totally fraud auction. Bought antique book, item description was not accurate, photos cleverly disguised the extent of damage. Paid $90 for this worthless garbage. Book totally falling apart, the only illustration was missing. They have return policy that they won't honor. Goodwill is a scam company! AVOID THIS AUCTION SITE!
