I purchased two Schwalbe Rocket Ron 27.5 x 3.0 tyres, at a more than reasonable price. My order arrived next day delivery, as advertised, great. Unfortunately, when I arrived home from work, only one was in the box even though two was on the invoice. I rang first thing the next morning. The chap I spoke to was totally helpful. He confirmed that the picking staff must've not read the order properly and packed just one. The other was still on the shelf and he had that sent out next day delivery as well. I think that is impeccable service and now check the Simply bike stuff website first now, to see if they have stock, if I want to purchase something for one of my bikes. You get a good impression of a company, not when orders go to plan but when something goes wrong. A performance like that deserves reward.

I purchased a bike for my 5yo Daughter's main Christmas gift from an indoor market in Birmingham, I wasn't planning on making a purchase from Simply Bike Stuff as I've never heard of the company before, and despite the team slating the quality of bike's from giant companies, they were so friendly and (what appeared) professional, I decided to hand my money over.
I asked if the Bike could be delivered assembled, not because I'm incapable, but because I'm pregnant, the team responded with how light weight and simple the bike is to put together, and to do this over a glass of wine Christmas eve and to enjoy the experience and build up to my Daughters reaction Christmas morning.
So, Christmas eve is where the fun started, I unpacked the box and surprise surprise, no instructions, missing material and the thread on one pedal was faulty. Absolutely gutted, not just for the money I'd spent or the time wasted, but for my Daughter not having the bike she deserved.
Details of my first email below:

By no means was I expecting a reply till early January, my email was to give an insight into my situation and frustration on what should have been a magical time. The fact I have since been ignored is completely unacceptable. After waiting for a resolution from Simply Bike Stuff, and storing the Bike for almost 3 months, I decided over the weekend to take the bike to our local recycling centre.
Like some other reviews, the team will most likely use the excuse that no emails were received, so to clarify, I successfully received my cash receipt on the 21st November from admin*****************com, the same email address I have used to contact the team about our faulty bike.
Readers, make your own mind up.
RESPONSE to Simply Bike Stuff submitted 08/03:
So, you have a destressed customer emailing you on Christmas eve, telling you that one of your bike's had missing instructions, missing parts, and had a manufacturing fault, you didn't deem this worthy of a reply in January? because, and I quote, "The email I sent didn't really explain what action I wanted you to take"
To openly admit this publicly shows your lack of professionalism and your offensive customer care approach. To even suggest that recycling the faulty bike without making contact (?) is extreme on my part is beyond insulting. I made you aware of the fault and issues and you admittingly did nothing. Who in their right mind would keep a large bulky item on their property that serves no purpose going on for 2 months?
I reached out to Simply Bike Stuff, you had an opportunity to rectify the situation and you did nothing. You should be utterly ashamed.

Just received my sons bike I bought for Christmas, with a £150 reduced price due to the bike being ex display !! However upon setting the bike up I believe this bike has not even been on the shop floor it is in immaculate condition !! Not a single mark or scratch . Very impressed

Faulty bike. Dangerous. Unresponsive to contact since agreeing refund

Your representative told me I would receive contact from warranty team which I never did. And asking me what I expect from an "entry level bike"? I expect a bike that isn't going to kill me- that would be a good start. Free for anyone to read the defensive nature of this companies customer service. I will indeed attempt contact again on Monday..
Not a good experience unfortunately. The "wildcat" bike I was sent is faulty. Dangerously so. Bike was put together by professionals at Halfords and after an approx 5k ride the rear wheel is moving about on its axis and coming loose.
I emailed simply bike who immediately agreed a full refund or exchange for a "more expensive bike". This leads me to believe they have had other complaints or know they are sending out faulty bikes. Since then they sent a courier to collect but who couldn't due to me being unable to disassemble the bike without appropriate tools. I want to take the bike back to halfords for them to disassemble it and for simplybike to then collect and issue my refund but they have since been unresponsive to my contact. Its all gone very quiet. Avoid this company and buy a decent bike from a reputable company is my advice.
Repeat - the bike they sent me was faulty- very dangerous..

Worst service i have ever used!
I was reluctant to write a review due to concern that my issue would not be resolved, but i feel like people need to know about this.
I ordered a bike from this company and it came without instructions, i had never assembled a bike before so i had to improvise which in short ended up costing me my job. When they did send online instructions it was already assembled. The past few weeks have been a disaster due to the issues with this order, the brakes didn’t work, there was marks on the frame when it arrived as if it was pre-owned (to which they offered me £20 back and it cost me £260) then after weeks of emails back and forth and me returning the product back to them, they send me an email suggesting that this was entirely my fault as I didn’t assemble it correctly (because they didn't send it with instructions) and are now offering me £100 less than what i paid for it as a refund. Definitely do not recommend using this service as thanks to the company’s lack of care in service, i have no job, no bike, and I’m out of pocket by £100. Awful awful customer service, but maybe it was just me they decided to cause major inconveniences for. From my personal experience having worked in multiple customer service jobs, i would go as far to say they are downright rude and inconsiderate. And to whoever wrote the long reply to this review, i think you clearly have a lot of challenges in your life too to take this so personally. The bike wasn’t new when you sent it so it wasn't new when you received it back either.
