I called Singer Machines Ltd with a couple of questions before making a sewing machine purchase on their website. I had a very helpful conversation with a member of staff which reassured me about my choice and also gave me further useful information. So nice to talk to a willing, friendly, helpful person rather than an answering machine! I'll shop with them again.

A very easy website. Found what I wanted straight away

I wasn't sure which foot to choose as there were 3 all the same, which confused me( which isn't hard), so I rang support for help. They were amazing, very polite, and helpful and explained the difference even though they looked all the same to me. I've ordered from here before and received excellent service. Delivery has always been within the time given. The parts finder, I find helpful being a newbie to sewing and makes the website even easier to find parts for my specific machine.

I found just what I wanted and it was an easy to use website.
I even found a bias binding foot for my slant shank machine. Extra feet for this machine can be hard to find. All in all I'm very happy. Can't wait for it all to arrive now.

The machines had clear and precise descriptions.
Check out was simple, easy to follow instructions.
Price was best for today, and preference would always be from the supplier.

I have a Singer Heavy Duty 4423 & a Singer Heavy Duty HD6605c & both have broken after 6months of infrequent use. The 4423 issue was to do with the timing after going through x3 layers of denim which put the timing out & it had to go back to be fixed so I was without a machine for a couple of weeks. I bought a second machine a Singer Heavy Duty HD6605C but hardly used it apart from button holes. I always thought it was a bit hit & miss using reverse stitch as it would often ignore me pressing the reverse button but yesterday while patching some pants I had to hit reverse a few times to go back over the patch & then suddenly the machine just jammed & jammed as in error code on the screen & the no movement in the hand-wheel. I’m now trying to contact the Singer repair company who finish at 4pm & turn the phones off at lunchtime.These machines are not cheap & are supposed to be heavy duty, I was patching x2 layers of linen yesterday when the machine jammed, any cheap little machine would have no problem with that. My machine with the timing issue the 4423 well this is common problem apparently when the needle hits the plate it puts the timing out & according to YouTube is a common problem & the machine needs to go in to be reset but now after looking at YouTube again yesterday when my other machine broke the jamming thing due to the reverse button is also a thing with the full computerised machines. The HD6605C is a £500 machine & it jams while using a reverse! I’m afraid if these machines break again which I suspect they will they are going in the bin as they are obviously not up to the job & not fit for the purpose they were made for. Before I bought the machines I saw glowing reviews now I think those reviews were placed & paid for & I’m annoyed at being taken in by them

A big SHAME that a big company as Singer makes customers return unwanted bought items at their own expense rather than provide free postage as other companies do. It means purchasing items from Singer carries a huge risk of losing a lot of money on return postage fees as well as return postage insurance. Terrible!

I rang them to confirm I was getting the right machine for the work I wanted it to do. Confirmed order details, postage details then ordered on line. It was delivered within 24 hours, securely packaged with free gifts added. Absolutely delighted . So far the machine has lived up to expectations and advertisement. Brilliant!

This is my 3rd purchase from Singer Machines Ltd., 2 sewing machines and a dress form. The service and communication has been excellent throughout. Aftercare service has also been fast and responsive to my needs. Thanks for the fantastic service.

I had difficulty in setting up an account on line, however a call to Singers sales department they were able to confirm the order had gone through without the need to set the account.

Needed a heavy duty sewing machine as mine had recently 'died'. Ordered the Singer Heavy Duty 4423. Ordered on Saturday. On Sunday morning I get a phone call from a really helpful young lady. The model I had chosen would not be available until end of th month as they were awaiting new shipment but was immediately offered and upgrade worth over £100 more. Having read various review I asked a few questions and the young lady was brilliant - very happy to discuss both positive and possible negative comparisons. (Some users don't like the upgraded model due to extra speed).
Agreed to accept upgrade and machine arrived by 9.15 next morning. Amazing service. Thank you Singer.

What made my experience great was a) being able to find the item I was looking for and b) the website displaying sewing machine model compatibility information. I thought the item price was reasonable as well as the delivery charge and even though I didn't use it, I liked that there was the option to have next-day delivery.

In my opinion, if you want a sewing machine, Singer is the brand to buy! I’ve recently bought a Singer Fashion Mate 3337. I couldn’t be more thrilled with it. The machine is amazing, so easy to use. The customer service at Singer is second to none. I can’t recommend the machine or the company highly enough. They’re fabulous!

They replied to my query about what light bulb I needed for vintage Singer sewing machine and gave me the link to purchase online.

The price is reasonable.

Being somebody who's has never bought a sewing machine before I didn't know what to buy so chose Singer. They have, after all, been making these things forever.
As a novice I didn't have a clue and found the setting up confusing. I contacted after sales support and can only say that their responses have been supper fast, comprehensive, and very reassuring.
I would not hesitate to recommend Singer as the "go to" brand for this type of equipment.

I was looking for several parts for my Grandmother's machine, which is 100 years old. I made an online enquiry which was responded to within a couple of hours. They identified my machine for me, pointed me to all the parts I needed - which they had in stock at very competitive prices. And they gave me a link to download the manual for free.

Good knowledge from the supplier and very helpful with my order
