Our motto of “Gear for Skiers by Skiers” is about as real as it gets. We’re not some city shop that’s nowhere near a mountain; we live and play in the heart of the Green Mountains in Stowe, Vermont. We have access to the best terrain and snow on the east coast, and we take full advantage of it. We actually get on the skis we sell to ensure that you find the proper setup for you. Based in Stowe, Vermont, SkiEssentials.com has come a long way over the years. Starting out 30 years ago as Bedside Tuners, a small tune shop in Stowe, the company grew to become what are now Pinnacle Ski and Sports and Inner Bootworks. The online business was a logical next step, and we made our first online sale in the basement office of our brick and mortar store in October of 2004, and we haven’t looked back since.

Great company and service

I ordered XC skis and boots but I ordered the wrong boots to go with the skis. I called and they were very helpful with my return. I forgot all about my order. I send an email and they already swapped out my boots and sent them back. Fantastic service- I highly recommend this company!

Great Customer Service!

As a newbie to cross country skiing, I was overwhelmed trying to research the different types of skis, boots, and bindings I would need. I came across a complete set on skiessentials.com's website, and used the chat-bot to ask a bunch of questions. Mike A. emailed me back the next day and was able to tell me exactly what sizes of everything I'd need, sending along sizing charts and informational material! He was super friendly and nice, also! I haven't yet received my ski kit, but I'm confident that I'm going to love them!

Bought a ski package for my wife…

Bought a ski package for my wife recently and the folks over at ski essentials made the buying experience easy. I was able to talk with them and they provided recommendations for boots and skis. They were prompt and responsive through both phone and email. We are looking forward to breaking the new skis in this upcoming season.

Buying 2 full xc ski packages online…

Buying 2 full xc ski packages online (skis, boots, poles, bindings) is tough not being able to try them on. SkiEssentials made it beyond easy; I didn't know about sizing and was able to email them. They were currently updating their landing pages for more dropdowns with sizing but they were fast to respond.

Purchased 2 full packages, received perfectly. Was able to exchange boots bc of a sizing issue at no problem; they even pulled the correct size aside until I sent back the wrong size.

Would absolutely recommend; great customer service and great products.

Great customer service

Great customer service. I had a pair of skates that were defective and they sent me a return label, and kept in contact with me throughout some issues I had shipping them. I'd feel very comfortable ordering again from them

Great customer service So friendly

Great customer service. Reached out with a question about when my new skis might ship, and Mike A got back to me almost immediately with all the information and I shortly received shipping confirmation as well. He was so friendly and helpful and my package is arriving soon! Thank you SkiEssentials and Mike A!!!

Excellent online customer service

Would not typically consider making my ski purchase online, but definitely will based on the really excellent and prompt customer service provided by Mike A via email. I submitted 2 inquiries online, and both were replied within hours. In comparison, I was setting up a new Wifi network at home and it took both Xfinity and Eero more than 5 days to reply to my inquires, so the quickness of his reply, especially in these unique times with COVID, is truly appreciated.

Also, wow. He provided clear, detailed and informative information that ultimately helped me make a more educated and informed decision on which ski/binding pairing to purchase for my son. I have viewed dozens of thorough ski reviews from Ski Essentials, and now have experienced similarly excellent customer service from them as well.

These guys are great!

These guys are great! They review so many ski's and provide so much awesome information readily available on youtube. With so many skis on the market knowing these guys actually test and review them in depth you know that when you ask about them they will have real and useful information. I also bought a pair of older used ski's that was older than their testing and they researched it and gave me some good information on the skis!

Amazing Customer Service

Mike A was absolutely amazing at getting me exactly what I needed. His ongoing communication with me went above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in a customer service situation. He was able to ship my skis to me quickly and they were well packaged.

I normally shy away from ordering skis and ski equipment online but my experience with skiessentials.com has changed my mind and I highly recommend them if you need/want to order online.

Unfortunately, resorts closed down early (due to COVID-19), so I am unable to give on-snow experience with my new skis but I'm looking forward to opening day.

Excellent Customer Service

I took a chance buying a full XC ski package from SkiEssentials due to the amazing online reviews. I've been skiing for 15 years and finally invested in an upgraded second setup. After I placed my order I had a chance to try on the new boots at a chain retailer in a nearby city, but to my horror the brand's sizing slightly changed from the older version I own. I was impressed that my order summary included both an email and a phone number. I sent an email asking to update the boot size and received a reply from the Customer Service Manager, Mike, in less than 30 minutes! He said it was no problem and was happy to correct my order. I can't tell you how relieved I am that he helped me get the right size boots before they shipped. I am so excited to get my gear, and will definitely buy from them again just based on this experience! Their customer service felt like it was a store in my small town. When you make a major purchase it is such a relief to know the company will take care of you.

Great Service...Great Prices

Bought skis from this company online. Checkout process was quick and easy. My order was acknowledged even though it was boxing day. Got bindings installed for free....as soon as it got handed off to UPS things went sideways through no fault of this company.

After 1 hour of useless discussion with a useless UPS person, the company got involved....no skis for the weekend, but they did there best.

Will shop here again.
